I was originally with Verizon for about ten years. My one cell phone bill was always over $100 a month, and like Comcast, it was almost like dealing with the mafia. I hated them. Finally, somehow, I found Cellular Freedom. I bought a used iPhone from them and signed up with Page Plus, a smaller carrier who uses the Verizon signal. My monthly cost dropped to $29.95 - less than a third of what I had paid for 10 years. I've been with them now for about 8 years, with zero problems, great signal quality, and friendly service. The owner of the business, Shawn Currier, is usually front and center there to help you. He was the person who originally signed me up and picked out the best deal for my needs. He was right on the money! I would much rather spend my money at a locally owned business than a corporate behemoth. And of course, with superb pricing and friendly service, there's not much to think about. Last year I got a new phone. I went android and bought a Samsung at Walmart. It had to be Verizon phone because of the signal. I went to a Verizon store after I got the phone to buy a protective hard rubber case for it. The salesperson at the Verizon store informed me that because I wasn't in the Verizon system with THEIR phone plan, they couldn't even sell me the case(for $40). Are you kidding? I bought a better one on Amazon for $16. No place is perfect, and I see a few people here who had bad experiences. I've worked with public at large my whole life, and think I'm a pretty good judge of people. My history at Cellular Freedom has been excellent. I brought my phone here and I feel like they made it worse to where I had to get a new phone. I dropped my phone and it shattered the glass. Is still worked fine the only reason I wanted it to be fixed was because of the way it looked. I brought it in and they said it would take about 30 minutes. I went down to Starbucks got a coffee and came back and waited about 30 minutes from that point to walk out with my phone. If looked great and I was able to talk on it while driving in my car I didn't think anything was wrong. That was until I got home later that night and took it off the Bluetooth for the 1st and it I couldn't hear who I was talking to. At this point I can make and receive calls but they had to be on a Bluetooth device. I called them the next day and they told me to bring it in. I did and they said they would call me after awhile to let me know what's up. After working all day I didn't get any updates for them I had to actually call in to see what's going on. Well he gets on the phone and tells me this happens and that they can't fix it but have a guy who can fix it for $100. At this point I'm pretty upset I just can't understand why my phone was working just fine and had a broken screen and I came to get it fixed and now I can't talk to people. I told him I wasn't going to give them more money and I just got it replaced through the insurance (something I should have done to begin with). They have lots of good reviews but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!! read more

Once I got it back around a month later I figured out that my camera was blurry so I brought it back and the manager said he didn't know if it was the stores mistake or mine but either way fixed my camera at no cost at all. Absolutely amazing. My wife left her iPhone 6 on the roof of her car. It fell off as she turned onto a busy road and she did not realize it was gone until she got home 40 minutes later. We returned to the location almost 2 hours later to find the crushed phone sitting by the side of the road. Looked like it had been run over several times. Guts of the phone lay 10 feet away from where the housing was. A phone is just a phone, however it contained nearly 9,000 photos from our engagement, wedding, honeymoon, trip to Greece, and most importantly the birth and first 3 months of our new daughter. None of which was backed up to the cloud or anything like that. Irreplaceable memories gone forever. Apple store and Verizon store basically told us we were screwed. Brought it to Cellular Freedom. They took it apart, diagnosed it, and were able to fix it the same day all the photos still there. We could not believe it. My wife broke down in tears. If they could fix this phone they can probably fix anything, I wish I had taken pictures of the smashed device. Thank you so much C.F., we will tell everyone about you. My fiancée got her screen fixed through Cellular freedom, after an unexpected crack in the screen. The next day after her screen got fixed, she found that the speaker on her phone was not working properly and due to the 90 day guarantee that this store offers, her and I went back into the store and got the phone checked. The woman at the desk told us that it would be about 30 minutes, so we decided to leave and come back when we got the call she was told that the screen on the phone came in defective and that they would have to replace the new screen with the old cracked screen until a new phone screen came in (we were fine with that as these things happen). But when we went to get her phone the same woman came out to tell us that while trying to switch the screen they messed up the mother board on the phone and the phone was now ruined, the woman told us that she would need to call the owner and talk to him about what should be done. Once the woman got back to us she told us that they could lend her a phone while they order her the same phone that she had. When asked if this phone would be new or refurbished (like the phone that was originally brought in) we were told that it would be neither it would be a used phone. They would not give her her money back for the screen but instead the money she payed towards the screen would go towards a new phone. Now I understand that it was not the woman's fault as she is just an employee and I understand that accidents happen but she should not have to pay for a phone that was broken by them. Now they have the new phone that they broke and are giving her a used phone, I do not trust that they are not going to fix up her phone that was broken and resell it to get their money back. read more

The rudest customer service reps, and they talk out of both sides of their mouths when they caused me a major problem. I now have no service, because on conversion to a different phone, I was given a MA phone number and the IME is attached to an iPhone 6, which I have never owned. We had done business with this company in the past with no problems, and now, they have caused me considerable time and energy asking them to make things right to no avail, since they don't know how to correct the problem! Do Not do business with them. There are other resellers (one near H&R Block on S Willow) who will take the time to help. In addition, the owner states he gave me a loaner phone. Well, it didn't work in the area I was visiting, and as for not paying when service was up, I can't because they screwed up the conversion so bad, that I am attached to a phone that I have never had. I will be taking this business to Small Claims Court, which I have never had to do, for the time wasted, the monies spent, without getting service, and asking the judge for stress-related monies as well! read more
