I have 2nd hand knowledge of Snowtronics - I'll explain... I purchased a 16 year old CD player…read more(Sony CDP-CX355) from someone on eBay who sold it to me with the assurance that it was in great condition. With the purchase, she included an invoice by a electronics repair shop called; Snowtronics to prove that it had been serviced and was now in excellent working order. When it arrived, it made a horrible whiny sound. I took off the top cover of the CD player and noticed that the inside was dusty. I also noticed it had two rubber belts. One of them was off its gears. I was able to put the belt back on and at that point, the unit seemed to work, but it was slow and still very noisy. That's when I realized that the belt was badly stretched out (due to age?) and kept slipping on the gears. The CD player needed serious attention! Luckily, I was able to buy belt replacements online for less than 10 bucks and with the help of a couple of YouTube tutorial videos, I fixed the player myself. Interesting note; according to the Snowtronics invoice, ONE belt was replaced, the unit was given a "tune-up" (whatever that means) and the laser was cleaned - All for a grand total of $91.85 which normally would be a fair price for service - had the work been actually done! Out of concern for future customers, I called Snowtronics to alert them of the issues I experienced in the hopes that they would hold the technician who "serviced" my CD player accountable. I gave the woman on the phone the invoice number which she was able to track down on her end. I then asked to speak directly to the person who worked on the CD player, but she claimed she didn't know who it was, but that; "He would be back on Wednesday." (!?!) When the day arrived, I called back. The guy who answered was extremely rude, made excuses and talked over me before abruptly hanging up. As I said earlier, the CD player is 16 years old. For the record; a reputable electronics repair technician KNOWS that rubber belts deteriorate with age. That said, if one belt goes bad, I contend that ALL of them should be replaced AT THE SAME TIME in order to ensure the integrity of the repair as well as the reputation of the shop. Needless to say, I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone. Final note: I would give this establishment ZERO stars, but Yelp doesn't offer that rating as an option.

We made the trek out here, and they were super friendly and happy to take her shredder. And it's FREE. They accept a long list of electronics which I've attached a picture of. They will shred documents if you need it, but you'll have to pay for that. They also accept your typical recycled paper and aluminum goods. Keep in mind they're only open M-F 9a-330p.
