Visited this store location to pick up newly ported devices and the level of customer service received from store associate Malcolm and Store Manager Zion was highly dissatisfying. I'm a new customer and after not being assisted regarding devices initially and being directed to call customer service- the store manager gave me my devices and basically told me they were unable to assist any further due to it being after 7pm of the store hours. I was also told the store Wi-Fi cuts off once store is closed. If I wouldn't have already been through the long process I would've definitely switched back to my previous provider. It seems as though both store employees were more concerned about getting off on time, and less about assisting with my 3 newly ported lines. Overall service was horrible. Walked in at 6:15 pm and they were looking at us like oh no more customers. Did a pick up order online and had to wait 45 (which was not their fault) but activation fee was waived only for them to tell me that it's after 7 and their WIFI is cutoff. Reggie, who checked me in and then i ended up working with was very rude. All I needed was to switch a SIM card from one phone to another and he basically chastised me because I didn't do it myself. When I told him I didn't feel comfortable doing it myself "with an earring" as Reggie suggested, I just said I'd like to wait in line and the reason I was there was to get their help. He scoffed and mumbled under his breath that "it wasn't his job." Then, when he finally helped me, he was gruff and acted like I was bothering him by being there. My aversion to Verizon Stores probably stem from my experiences years ago with no check-in system and the "first come first serve/wait forever" system. So I am always cautiously optimistic whenever I go into one of them. The other day, my droid incredible stopped receiving phone calls. I had been limping along, hoping to wait for either the iPhone5 or a new droid. Anyways, I had a family emergency and could not be reached so I finally just broke down and got a new phone to avoid future stress in not being able to be contacted. I got there around 10:45am and the store had maybe one or two customers in it. I was up for an upgrade, but didn't harp about the phone not receiving any calls - figured it wasn't worth the trouble to explain and my phone was over 2 years old now. Justin really helped me out and having experienced both the iPhone and Android phones, he gave me a lot of good information since I was still on the fence. I ended up going with the 4S. I also got a zagg screen protector and an otter box commuter case which Justin applied to my phone. He transferred all my contacts and also was able to trade in my incredible for some salvage money. The trade in program must be new, but I did ask him what they did with the phones and after they wipe the memory, the phones are given to countries that cannot afford to buy directly from retailers. It's good to know the phone will get a second life and not be wasted. I was in and out of there in 45min and Justin was really knowledgeable, answering all of my questions and really providing great service. I'm still waiting for the iPhone 5 to come out (probably tomorrow) but so far I am very happy I made the "switch." read more

Terrible "hostess" experience. Woman at the front had a terrible attitude as soon as I walked on. The store is basically empty and I've been waiting for 40mins when I was told my wait time would be 15mins. Add On: This is my fourth time coming back due to inventory and no fault of the stores. I'm continued to be so disappointed by the "hostess". They really act like you're an inconvenience. Will probably be my last trip and just drive an hour and a half to go to my home store. Staff is inexperienced. They were relatively friendly but communicated incorrect information consistently and rushed the process of signing up a new customer. I had to ask a bunch of questions because of the limited information I was given during my purchase. I was told I would get a gift card and that I didn't need a code which was incorrect on both ends and was a factor in my purchase. I wasn't provided material to ship my phone and had to call Verizon customer service 3 times to get accurate and helpful information. Much of this effort and time would have been saved buying from a different store. I suggest better training and employees that can be comfortable with being transparent about what they are sure about and what they are not and a willingness to look things up to verify without overselling to customers for the sale. Just an overall lack of customer service. When I walked in the gentleman and lady picked a number to figure out who would help me. The gentleman lost and seemed upset he needed to help me pick out a phone. I came back after I left because I was having an issue transferring my data. I was shooed out of the store a second time. I have been a VZW customer for many years. As long as I can make a call anywhere, at any time, I am not hard to please. I had to visit VZW because the sound was too low during phone calls. VZW could not repair it and sent me to the Apple Store. Apple could not repair it so they replaced my device. Four hours later, I have a new phone, but I can't activate it because VZW is performing system maintenance that was supposed to be done three hours ago. Come on VZW, I thought you were better than this! Now I have my contact list but I can't call anyone! Give me a break, please! Four stars for the fast and friendly service received at this location. Unfortunately, they were not able to repair or replace my phone. Today, sadly only 3 *** for VZW overall! read more

I was looong overdue for a new phone but I was trying to hold out for the iPhone 5. Unfortunately, my phone had other ideas and started bugging out and I knew I couldn't hold out any longer. I had a late morning flight last Thursday and realized I had time to head to Verizon to solve my problem. I was the 1st person in the store and was greeted immediately. Justin was the sales person who assisted me and I think he did a great job. I told him what I was looking for and he helped steer me towards the phone that would be suit my needs. He also told me one of the phones I was looking for was out of stock and that helped me make my decision since I needed to leave the store with something new. Once I made my decision he helped me get everything set-up and even charged the phone for me a bit since I told him I'd be travelling. All in all it was a great experience and I would have no issue returning here for future purchases or help. read more

What I will share with you is the phenomenal job Verizon Wireless does to support entrepreneurs and small business owners. I wasn't very surprised when the manager came out to ask me about my experience opening my business account but I was truly amazed when he came to invite me to a free social media workshop for small business. As a new member of the Charlotte community, the Verizon Wireless staff plugged me in to local organizations that support entrepreneurs. At the seminar, the manager actually gave me a few places to network and get connected with other business owners in Charlotte metro area. What turned out to be just a trip to the store to buy a phone quickly turned into an opportunity to grow my business. read more

Some of the worst customer service we've ever encountered. We've been "next" on the list for 45m. Understandable that it's a friday night, but of the 6 people on staff, 3 were flirting with people (no joke, I saw numbers exchanged, and not for Verizon purposes) and the other three were hiding in the back. As we left, I said to the manager, "remove us from your list, we're leaving." She says "okay sorry," not apologetically, but reflexively. Verizon is going to lose customers for this. Came in since there customer service department advised to come to the store to get everything transferred from one phone to another. I get greeted by a young female who had an attitude and advise that they do not do this at the store any longer. Then I asked how do I do this with a demeaning attitude she starts providing instructions. She tells me to go to the play store which I have no idea where that is and she won't provide any guidance or even instruction to find. She sees that I am struggling and gives me an attitude. I ask to speak to her supervisor who already came with an attitude. Another a female she said that they no longer provide this service repeating what the first one had said so she starts providing instructions I was forced to create a Gmail account on a business phone in order to pass the information from one phone to that another the supervisor. I was sent off with a flyer with the additional transfer information. Horrible customer service from both management and store employee. Do not come to the store. read more

I am a college student who is away from family, my phone completely broke and I had no idea what to do! When I got there i was helped by a young lady named Briana, she was able to help me and also help someone at the same time. She got me the best deal and an upgrade I didn't even know I was eligible for! It made my day go from a complete down to awesome since she got me the best deal for trading in my old phone. Went in with full intentions of buying a new phone. Waited a while for somebody to help me, however that is acceptable at a busy time. My representitive Tim was the most useless salesman I've ever met. Didn't ask me about what I was interested in and pretty much just kept telling me to call customer service. Do not ever go to this location!! I was already contemplating leaving Verizon because they were over priced! Long-story short...after meeting with one of the salesmen they convinced us to stay! The told us our bill would be a certain amount so we decided to upgrade our phones and stay with them.....WELL THAT QUICKLY CHANGED!!! I got an email saying our bill would be $100 more than what we discussed! It was clearly their fault but they would not honor what they originally told us. I am on my way to return all FOUR of these phones and go to another phone company!!! I will NEVER deal with Verizon again!!! They are money hungry Liars and I'm pissed off!!! If you go to Verizon make sure the darn salesmen know what they're talking about before you sign anything!!!!! This was such an inconvenience for us and they could care less!!!
