We recently had an outstanding experience at the new Verizon store on the Guide, thanks to John Tristan (aka J.T.), who is truly a rockstar! We had made an appointment and arrived a little early (after mistakenly going to the old mall location first). Despite that, we only waited about 5 minutes before we were greeted and helped by J.T. Our visit was to replace our son's phone and see if there was any way to save money on our monthly Verizon bill. Not only did J.T. help us with both, but he went above and beyond. He took the time to clearly explain everything we didn't understand, adjusted a few things on our plan, and walked us through new promotions that applied to our son's phone upgrade. J.T. is incredibly detail-oriented -- it's honestly impressive. He didn't just breeze through things or throw a pile of paperwork into a bag and send us on our way. He reviewed every single change with us, made sure we understood each adjustment, and followed up to ensure we were satisfied. He even resolved a few issues we hadn't planned on addressing -- that's how thorough and proactive he is! Verizon Management: if you're reading this, you need to double this guy's salary. Seriously. He's a rare talent. If you're a Verizon customer, do yourself a favor and make an appointment -- it will save you time and ensure you're taken care of. If you're not a Verizon customer yet, their customer service alone (especially with people like J.T. on the team) is a great reason to switch -- not to mention their excellent coverage. Service was fast and efficient. I came in when my super old Note 4 died on me. I hadn't backed anything up, and didn't want to lose my photos. I came in with hopes that they would try to fix it... and maybe suggest a new battery so I could get my stuff backed up... but they didn't. They just tried to turn it on, couldn't do it, and that was it... lol. So I left with a new Note 9 and feeling sad I lost my pictures. Wish they would have tried a little bit to figure out the issue with my old phone... as I was even willing to pay for them to fix it AND buy a new phone to transfer the files to... so minus two stars for the lack of trying. I do want to clarify that everyone was very nice... just maybe airing on the side of lazy... Or maybe corporate has just made it so that employees shouldn't bother when old phone models fail... rather than attempt to fix it, just sell the consumer a new phone. Imwe went to go switch my aging parents from their old provider to Verizon and get them new phones. Jason, store manager, was outstanding. His attention to their needs, making sure he answered questions in a way that was easy for them to understand, how patient he was with them, with all of us... cannot say enough good things about his Customer Service. He made a usually stressful transition a smooth one. He knew how to help us achieve switching carriers when my folks couldn't recall certain details. He was just awesome. Great experience. read more

My Wife ordered a iphone 11 online,picked the option to pick it up from the store in the Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham. Then they want to charge more $$$ then we paid for already. Talked to manger and he couldn't do anything for us , I'm like we paid already why not give us our phone. Then we left alone just standing there waiting for them to finish up with other people. Solid 3.5, if you get Dan to help you. Strolled in here looking for those headphones so you can watch TV late at night without waking up the other half, plus needing one that's Bluetooth---who wants to mess around with long wires attached to the TV--so he showed me this Belkin device that unfortunately requires this whole thing to work backwards. I would have to start with the TV program on my phone or tablet, then hook up through the TV, which seemed like a hassle. Did suggest checking the Sony store. For the typical cell phone provider, this store has some major toys like the Bose portable speakers and Dr. Dre flashy red headphones. While busy, the staff friendly and all wearing their Seahawks jerseys as uniforms lol. read more

Horrible customer service! Avoid this business at all cost. I would definitely recommend using AT&T or Sprint in Bellingham. We use netbooks for our business and have some from AT&T, some from Sprint, and some from Verizon: Verizon is by far, hands down, no contest, the absolute worst. The connection software is buggy, the hardware has constant problems and the service is non-existent. We've been paying for service on 2 of our Verizon units that have been down for over three months and can't get any help from the store. Went through all of the channels trying to get the netbooks serviced by HP with no luck. read more

So, I'm not actually writing to rave about Verizon, but I'd like to give 5 stars to one of its sales associates.. His name is Bryan and he works at the Verizon Wireless Kiosk in the Bellis Fair Mall. About 8 months ago or so, he sold me my smart phone (which I still absolutely love) and helped me find the right plan for me when every other sales associate had previously failed (I literally almost said 'F' it and changed wireless providers) But Bryan listened to my frustrations and I walked away feeling like I had gotten a great deal and was listened to. So, today I brought my technologically challenged mother to see about getting her a new phone and about setting her up with the newish MiFi system. (She lives way out in the county and only had dial-up Internet). It just so happened that Bryan helped us today and he was fantastic with my mom, explaining things really well and helping her get what she needs ( i think at one point my mom even mumbled under her breath, 'I love you Bryan'). I was told if i bought ANY smartphone i would be eligible to trade that phone in for a $300 credit towards a new phone and plan with Verizon. I went and bought a cheap smartphone and some minutes to make the deal. When i came back the same guy that told me any phone said the smartphone i purchased wouldn't work. Something about it had to be powered by android or some other system. He didn't tell me this before i went to get the trade in. When i complained to the manager and asked for an additional $20 credit if i bought an eligible phone (to help pay for the minutes i purchased, worthless phone, and wasted time) he told me no and made a big deal about him already giving me $300 for a trade in. That 300 was available to anyone so he wasn't doing anything for me after they wasted my time and money. Don't go to this Verizon store, they will jerk you around. read more

The staff here were kind but the Verizon network isn't as good as it used to be. I continue to drop calls on the LTE network and have to switch my iphone off LTE to LTE Data Only to resolve the problem. Don't plan to browse the web while talking on the phone it simply doesn't work as well as it should with Verizon. read more

I'm the type of customer that know what they want before they go into a store. Well, with the exception of grocery shopping; there are definitely times when I am hungry and buying everything I see rather than following a list. I had thoroughly researched the MiFi 2200 which I wanted to purchase to access the Internet wirelessly through Verizon. Diamond Wireless is a Verizon (re-seller?) (retailer?) Initially I didn't want to sign a 2-year contract, and when I had called the Verizon corporate location within the mall they said I would have to pay $100 for the Mifi even with a 2-year contract with a $50 rebate. Diamond wireless said they would sell it for $50 and give me a $50 rebate. I was like Whoohoo! Free device w/ 2-year contract makes more sense; otherwise even for $260 at full retail price it would have been worth it to me to purchase the device outright and not have a contract. Thanks Diamond Wireless. There was a new employee in training and an employee who had been there a while. Both were helpful. This Kiosk store was in the middle of the Bellis Fair Mall near The Body Shop, American Eagle and AT&T. The corporate (I think) Verizon store is more towards the Food Court in the mall. If you are looking to purchase cellular service through Verizon try this kiosk and price shop between the main Verizon store too. Make sure you get the best deal you can, and know what you're buying, don't go into this just wanting a new service. Know which phones the carrier offers by visiting their website, then search bing.com for "name of phone you like" reviews to see how others like that device. Then, see how much the website is charging for it and make note of it so when you go to the kiosk you can get a better deal! read more

Looks like folks have had a few different experiences with Verizon. I have been with Verizon for 20 years or so and I can say that I have had very good luck with the Bellingham corporate branch in Bells Fair Mall. This can be a busy location, they seem to do a great job checking you in and take care of you. My son and I recently got new phones, and switched a few different time and dealt with a out of date phone and on we are sending in for insurance right now, so we have work with many of the employees over the past few months, they ALL did an amazing job, seems like they went out of their way to provide EXCELLENT customer service. I wish that I could choose 0 stars that is how disappointed I am with this store. In the summer of 2016 in July my girlfriend went and got the new iPhone 6s Plus. She used her upgrade and traded her 5s in for a $200 mail in rebate. She ended up paying only $200 total for this new phone! What a score right?! At the time I was satisfied with my 5s, but a month later decided I wanted to go in and upgrade as well. We went in together asking about the promotion she used and if that was still available, and also if I was eligible for an upgrade. I was told by an employee here that she could help me do the same deal to get the same price. ( I really wish I knew her name because she is a liar.) I ended up doing the trade in for my phone just like my girlfriend, and was also told that I had an upgrade. Well low and behold two years later I am on a family plan and we're divvying out how much each person is paying for their line and I come to find out I have paid over $600 for this phone that I should've paid off, and I still owed $250!!! You can imagine my shock and anger when discovering this. I ended up calling customer service where I was on the phone for over 2 hours and being placed on hold numerous times for 10min plus at a time. I proceeded to be yelled at and belittled by the representative who was "helping" me. I was also talked over as I tried to explain my situation. As I was frustrated, confused, and speechless how this even happened. After doing digging it came to find out that this store who I gave my old phone to in August didn't even mail the device to the warehouse until march of 2017! The rep. Then proceeded to tel me she didn't think I should've even got the $200 rebate as it was such a long time in between and tried to not take accountability for the stores and companies actions. At this point I didn't even know what to say. I was placed on hold again, for probably the 6th time at least by this point. During this hold my girlfriend and I were privately having a conversation asking how this even happened to us, why did this happen. My girlfriend then talked with me how she's been working for starbucks for over 4 years and how they are a company that really takes pride in their customers, and how she really felt we weren't being valued st all. At this time the rep yelled at us how she was valuing us and that Verizon is about customer service. (The rep had been ease dropping on us! We weren't even on hold) at this point we felt so violated and shocked. She then asked if her getting a refund approved would solve our problem and make us happy? I said well I honestly want to know how much the refund would be. Another hold of 10min (we were actually on hold) she came back to say she got a refund of $250 would that be good enough. I said that doesn't even pay off the amount we still owe on the device and we've been paying full price payments for 2 years now. She said she hardly got this approved as it was so long ago. She didn't want to ask her supervisor for a bigger refund. In the end that's all my account got credited. It didn't even get put towards paying off my device. Moral of this story is this specific store will do anything to make a sale. They don't take responsibility for their actions and they will take advantage of you. They also do not have customers at the heart of their focus. I am really debating about taking our whole family off Verizon. Im writing this review for the verizon kiosk that is in the mall right outside of abercrombie. The manager Bryan and his sales associate Kory went out of their way to help me when I had been without a phone for a week. I would have had to wait another 4 days or longer to get my phone and when they saw how upset I was about the situation, did everything in their power so that I was able to walk out of the mall that day with the phone I wanted. I have no problem with Verizon as a whole, but I would never use this location. They lied and cheated me out of more than $300 and refused to rectify the situation when I brought it to their attention. The people that I worked with here are absolute slime. Horrible! Horrible! Went in 3 times in a weeks time trying to get help with a complicated issue. First 2 times walked out in total frustration because the reps just kept spewing their canned speech. I went to online chat and phone reps and thought everything was resolved. It wasn't. Third time I went into the store asked if the manager was in and was told he was. Asked to speak to him and was told no, first they had to take my name, then a rep would talk to me and the rep would take my issue to the manager. I said "NO" I need to speak to a manager and that I had already been in twice talking to reps, it was complicated and I did not want to keep repeating my story. Still, "no you have to talk to a rep first". The online chat and phone reps were very polite and as helpful as they could be and not really their fault for the end result issue. Horrific Experience! I am fairly computer literate, but I was taken aback by the lack of knowledge by my sales representative. I purchased a new iPhone 8 plus after using an iPhone 6. I went to the store to assure my three pages of apps would be on my new phone. I use this phone for business. We backed up everything on icloud before we decided to download all of may apps. I did not know my apple id password. So he decided to change my apple id password. We verified it three times to be sure it was good. When it was time to get the phone up and running, my apple id password for some reason was not being recognized. The salesman "played" around with my new phone for about 20 minutes, but to no avail. So, here is the kicker; he says, "I don't know, cannot help any longer, he is what you should do (I think it was time him to go home). Check out these instructions on your phone, go home and Good Luck. Don't worry all your apps will be there, NO PROBLEM!" Of course, this morning NO apps from my 3 pages of apps are on my phone. Before telling me to go home, why didn't he ask for help from other associates. I was the only customer in the store. I will never buy anything again from that store! I am hoping to resolve this with corporate tech support later today. read more

Had a great experience at this store. I worked with an associate named Joey who was very knowledgeable of not only the products offered but of the different plans available as well. We bought our first phones here and went back several times, thinking it was the only Verizon store. Terrible service every time. You walk in and it's sort of like " take a number" and wait, and wait, and wait. They seem to have a lot of employees but not sure what they all do and frankly, they don't seem to know how to actually help the customer w/ their questions It's loud, you have to put up w/ all the rude, pushy Canadians, whom the store seems to bend over backwards for, and It's dark in the store. The we found out there was a store on Bakerview so we went there. Loved that store and all their employees are knowledgable and courteous. So glad we no longer have to go to the Mall location! read more

This is not about this particular store, it's about Verizon as a whole. I've been a customer for 8 years, I've always had a fixed rate, unlimited wireless internet plan, and all of a sudden there's a charge for $130 over what I usually pay. I call in, sit on hold, talk to a guy who looks it up and says it doesn't make any sense and assures me they'll take care of it and get me a refund. A week goes by. I hear nothing, and there's no refund. I start over, and this time I'm told their engineering team researched it and it's a legitimate charge for an 8 hour call from my modem, that would have happened while we were asleep. I tried to explain to them that if I wanted to make a phone call I would use my TELEPHONE, not my modem, and they said the charge stands. I asked for a manager, and he said they could cover half of it and I demanded to know what number they were alleging I called. He said he didn't know and couldn't find out because the ticket just said "other" Really?! The PHONE COMPANY can't tell me what number they're billing me $130 for calling?! I told him if they didn't remove the charge I would cancel the service, and he said he couldn't. I think that would tell anyone everything they need to know about a company that would rather lose a customer of 8 years than fix a $130 mistake. If they had taken care of this I would have become a big fan, now I'll NEVER do business with them again. read more
