A fantastic game store for both video games and tabletop gaming. A huge selection of MTG cards and Pokemon cards if that's your thing. The staff here are awesome. Highly recommended!

How does anyone keep track of all these cards?

My husband and I were touring game stores in Bellingham on a Thursday afternoon for absolutely no reason and this was by far my favorite one! The staff were super helpful in our pursuit for something to impulse buy and their prices were so much better than other shops we found in the area. Sometimes you want to drive two hours to find the perfect game boy and trading cards for a game that you don't even play and that's FINE (right?) We even got a few nuggets of wisdom on tabletop gaming spots closer to home- 10/10 field trip!

See the screen scratches? this is what they decided was acceptable

I Recently took my Black soft modded PSP into cosmic games to have it fixed. Originally I had these issues: . Stuck Vol+ button, . Wanted shell replaced (in blue) to fix the screen scratches & fix the back hinge I was told it would be 2 weeks/$20 (shell replacement was added, the price came 50 & indefinite time), & that cosmic games were ok with working on it even though it was soft modded, which I made sure to ask at the start. They also never asked me for my phone number which was weird, just my first name. 2 months later, I after not hearing anything, I started calling & all I got each time is "why don't you come down so we can see if we have it", even after id ask them to check in the back room. little rude since they knew I lived in a different city & it was a long drive. Each time it was never done. Finally, when they were 'done' one of the workers handed me the system in my case, I paid for it, but he wouldn't give me a receipt & asked me for cash only (That was unexpected). Right before I left I realized I hadn't taken a look like I should have before paying & was shocked to see it in worse condition. List of issues: . The screen was very scratched & in an unusable state . Only top shell was replaced, . The buttons were now mushy, . Dust between LCD & shell This was unacceptable, I kept my calm & asked them to fix it again. I was told it would be 1 month exactly, & 30 bucks. I didn't wanna pay but I accepted anyway. After 1 month, they hadn't finished it, so I kept asking & 1 month later they started being super rude to me on the phone. I was actually yelled at by the owner multiple times (I never yelled back, nor was rude). I ended up having to have my dad call because I felt I was being scammed & in over my head, my dad reported the owner actually threw a fit in the background of the call. Eventually, they told me they could switch it with a PSP 1000 or 3000 right then & there & not charge me. Both of those models are worse than a PSP 2000 so I said no. (PSP 1000 have less ram, 3000 screens are known to be problematic). The owner also dropped the remaining charges for the device. When I showed up, they handed it to me in an even worse condition List of new issues: . The back hinge was still broken, if not worse, . The screen is still scratched, if not worse than last time, . Cosmic games put a USED PSP 1001 Shell the PSP 2001 (PSP 2001 is thicker, causing many issues) . The secondary battery I kept in my case was missing, . Inside the PSP was not my normal battery, instead, it was a much smaller battery (physically & capacity), . The LCD inside was scratched, . Because It was smashed into a smaller shell, the home, volume +/-, start, & select buttons all were forced to be pressed if any I BARELY even touched any part of the lower half of the system, making it impossible to stay in came without the home screen pops up . Sometimes it doesn't even want to boot now Not knowing what to do, my dad and I took it into CPR next door to see what they could do. After talking to CPR, I started noticing it wouldn't always boot, realized the screws were not screwed in all the way (& didn't match), & I finally realized it was the wrong shell. I decided I wanted to talk to Cosmic games one last time to get my money back & return the game I had accidentally left in it when testing it. At this time I was feeling anxiety so I let my dad talk to the owner. All he would say was "cant help you. Nothing I can do, not my problem". When we handed him the game he even tried to claim it wasn't his (the sticker was on it) & eventually said that it was hardware modded, & the screen LCD was already scratched before he got it & said some of the issues I wanted fixing were already there & not his problem (excuse me?), before we could speak. We kept our calm & left, but we were so angry. Never did act rude/swear/raise my voice... & yet now I no longer have a working PSP, & at this point, it would cost more to fix it than to just buy a vita. I can't believe I was treated like this, & I refuse to ever come back. Nice job guys :(

A SnapChat captured once I bought this beautiful graphic novel. Just sheer beauty and appreciation of all the books storyline (=

Reset Games is one of my go-to game stores in Bellingham. They have an amazing selection of games…read moreranging from the earliest Atari games to modern console titles. Also, they have many different consoles there, and at good prices too! Sometimes they will have rarer consoles in stock like the Atari Jaguar or the Virtual Boy. They also have great deals on consoles. The prices may seem higher than market for the consoles, but that is because if you buy a console, it comes with OEM cables and controllers included, not 3rd party junk. For example, I got a VG condition non-yellowed SNES for $90 with all the previously mentioned accessories included. The staff are happy to accept a return within 30 days of a purchase with a full refund, which is very nice if an item stops working after a few days. As for trade-ins or selling, Reset Games will not currently accept defective/broken items as they do not offer a repair service. If you want to sell broken/defective items, go to Cosmic Games, as they offer a good repair service. The only slight downside is that the game prices are sometimes a bit higher than competing stores in the area, but their massive selection of games makes up for that. In conclusion, Reset games is a great game store. I always love stopping by. It's a must-visit for gamers.

Every copy was bad. Every console I have gotten from there was busted and not tested properly. Multiple PS2 slims with dying disk drives. So, I went to their sister store down south. [over a 3-hour drive] Their staff told me they tested the ps2 they had. We drove back home and within 5 min the 1st controller port was bad and making the controllers loose connection and power. (how can you miss this if it was properly tested?) Also, that ps2 couldn't read disks towards the end of the disk. We have sold them a console ourselves and watched how they test consoles. They turn it on, throw a disk in, and if the disk reads, they just shut it off. There is no performance testing done, or everything I have said above would have been caught. BEWARE OF CONSOLES YOU BUY FROM HERE. ASK TO DO YOUR OWN TESTING BEFORE HANDING THEM MONEY, AS THEY WILL NOT GIVE BACK A REFUND, ONLY STORE CREDIT! They lost a customer that goes in spending 500 to 800 bucks a visit today. Their staff (dude with blue hair) told me they don't normally return consoles until I told him I spoke to someone in a higher position about this already, then, he wanted me to fill him in on what I was told so he could follow their policy better. Seemed like he was trying to cut me off on returns until I notified him, but I knew better already. Cosmic Games not only sell everything that Reset Games has, but they also do repairs, and their employees don't try to lie to me. They have made 1000s off of me and counting. Any issues I have had, they fix without charge as far as consoles or handhelds that I have purchased goes. Cosmic Games IS THE SUPIRIOR STORE costs more but WAY MORE accommodating and professional.

I'm visiting from Hawaii, and there are no stores like it besides thrift shops and buy/sell bookstores where you only hope someone donates or sells their games, which is very rare, and also hope they're not incredibly overpriced, which is often. I found Gamedeals and Press Start. I went to Gamedeals first, and it's in the same area as Press Start in New Westminster. I wish I can to Press Start first! It's a small store and messily organized because it's jam packed with everything retro. I was just interested in NES games. Their quantity isn't much, but their prices are a lot better than the other store. They also have more rare games, but they were still overpriced, just not as much. The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful. He's genuinely into this stuff and it clearly shows! I grabbed another load of NES games even though I said I wouldn't because I still had to carefully pack it away in my luggage. Next trip, I'll just bring an empty suitcase with bubble wrap! Overall, I wish there were more stores and people who sell retro games fairly and reasonably because the people buying are collectors too and look to just collect. Most people just price gouge like crazy just looking for the uninformed customers. I'm glad Press Start Video Games doesn't do that. All their games are guaranteed with a 14 day return policy (much better than 7 days at other stores). Just a great store! Reminded me of a video game store in Kaimuki I went to every Saturday when I was a kid. I regret not buying more NES games at that time!

I'm visiting from Hawaii, and there are ZERO stores selling retro video games besides the thrift shops and buy/sell bookstores where you only hope someone donates or sells their games, which is very rare, and hope they're not incredibly overpriced, which is often. Nintendo NES games is what I'm collecting at the moment. I had a pretty big collection when I was a kid, and recently felt like expanding it. Luckily, Vancouver has a couple of these stores, and Gamedeals Video Games has TONS of NES games!!! Getting to this store located in New Westminster from Downtown Vancouver was a journey, but worth it. Coming into this store brought back so many memories when I used to go to video game stores almost every week 20 years ago. It was pretty much the exact same thing! Not only was there video games, there were also toys, board games, and other awesome things. Everything was very organized by section and in alphabetical order. I spent a good hour here just browsing and selecting my games. For the NES games, they were only loose games or with the box. No dust sleeves or instruction booklets for the loose games for some reason. It was hard not to buy every game that I don't have, but I only bought the ones that were priced below market value and in good condition. In the end, I came out with 8 games. I definitely would've bought more if I stayed longer! But I need to safely bring them all home! I was looking for rare games, which they had a few, but way, way, overpriced. Overall, a nice, nostalgic experience. An excellent store with games and accessories for every game console since the Atari. The staff wasn't exactly the friendly, talkative, super nerdy bunch, but friendly enough. I felt I got a decent deal for my games. Definitely happy! Hopefully they all work cause returning them would be a little troublesome.
