It was located further down from the current location but I always enjoyed seeing what was new, adding to my subscriptions and nerding out with the staff. Eventually I moved away for a while and had to cancel my subs and quit comics altogether to save myself the silly amount of money I was spending on it. That said, while visiting Bellingham, my husband and I popped in with our one year old and it's definitely become a general pop culture store, still focused on comics and a lot more clean and organized than it used to be. I say that with no shade to the previous way it was as that was so charming to me, just that it is more polished now. If I lived in the area, I have no doubt my daughter and I would come to this shop more as she grows up, hopefully enjoying comics like me! Since she's only 1, we just got her some small toys that caught her eye.

I personally like to go here the day after Halloween, when their clearance sale begins and things are marked down to make them more affordable. Don't expect great service here. The workers are all temporary and very, very busy. Best time to come is in the morning on a weekday, although it's still pretty busy even then!

So we headed to Launching Success and wow, did we have fun. I hadn't been to LS for several years - but was thrilled to find they still carry the same, high quality games, toys, books, supplies and other things to support homeschooling and home learning. Our first stop was at their fidget toy display, where my daughter picked out a couple of nice things to "play" with and help keep her focused during her days of Zoom classes. Next, we checked out some of their awesome art materials before heading to what I call the "teacher zone". This area of the store is FULL of all that cool stuff you see around your kid's classroom and you wonder where they got it. Well, they probably got it here! From posters to banners to you-name-it this room almost inspired me to return to college for my teaching certificate. (Hey, I said ALMOST.) While many of the items in this area are geared towards real classroom use (like signs about rules, or birthday lists) we found a couple of inspiring signs to put up around my teen's desk, as well as some organizational bins for pens and other supplies. Launching Success would also be an excellent place to buy high quality gifts for holidays or birthdays - they have a huge variety of games for all ages, and their prices are very competitive.

I will definitely go back! Don't tell my grandson but probably many of his gifts will come from here!

We found precut mat in various sizes that brought the space between the frame and the photos close, but still not quite right. We then came across scrap book paper! If you have time to wander, this is a fantastic place for Getting ideas for so many organization/decorating/house projects! The staff was friendly and helpful. I should also mention, they do offer custom mats here but for this project, it was not worth the money (these are tiny photos and we will probably re frame new ones next year). They also can custom frame and mat your photos/artwork of Any size!

Because now I know exactly what Santa is bringing him (Great job, Santa. Nailed it.) I also found the cutest raincoat ever, cowboys, cows, and horses, plus matching rain boots, BOTH marked down. I mean come on. Instant joy. Yeagers has an amazing selection of high-quality, top-tier outdoor clothing brands, a massive toy section, a great shoe department, and just so many things you didn't know you needed until you see them. Quietly sitting in the corner was Jackie who was so quiet we didn't know she was there until we asked a question, and who allowed us to browse in the very small space of the store.
