Terrible customer service. Have me an Apple Watch for each of my two phone said they were part of a free promotion. Then I find out I am getting billed for two new line for each watch almost $60 extra a month now that it's over 30 days they will not remove it. These guys a crooks in all sense to the word. Just like Wells Fargo opening up fake checking accounts on people. No matter who I talk to at Verizon customer care nobody will help. Time to leave Verizon after 20 years. read more

I'll explain why I only give them 1 star. Yes they are friendly, but don't know that much about phones or the services. They do their best to get you to sign up for extra services and don't explain anything unless you ask. I purchased a new phone since mine was broken and I was due for an upgrade. So when I was ready to pay I saw the charge for the phone and then a Device Activation fee of $35.00. I asked what that was and they said it was to transfer the data from one phone to the other. Ok fine. Then my bill comes in the mail and there's a $30.00 fee for the same thing. I was confused. I called Verizon and they said its the standard fee that comes along with my 'free' upgrade haha. Um so it's not free. I asked about the $35.00 the store charged me and they claimed to never have heard of it before. I call the store to find out how I could be double billed- and let me tell you the guy jumped on me like a hungry lion. My guess is that many people call about this as well and he's heard it a number of times. He told me that its a fee they charge to transfer the data (or in my case only my phone numbers) to the new phone for that 2 minutes of time and that every store charges it so it's fine. He was not helpful and I wasn't going to fight it. Clearly these Verizon stores can charge anything they want as they are just authorized Verizon Dealers. So if you go there, just be aware you will be charged for that and then again through Verizon. read more

I had the pleasure of working with your employee, Joandra Cuevas, at your store in Glenville, CT. She greeted me instantly and worked with me as I made the decision to upgrade to an iPhone. This was my first experience with this technology, and she recognized that I was a bit concerned. She reassured me as we went through transferring my data from my old phone, and patiently explained how to use my new phone. She was professional, well spoken, and friendly. She even accompanied me out to my car and made certain the bluetooth was connected. Joandra has extended an offer for me to consult with her at anytime for extra help. Additionally, the other employees in the store were friendly and knowledgeable. The experience could not have been better. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. I believe everything that Jacob says in his earlier review. Dan and Sabrina are not honest and they will hide fees and scam you. I came here because the other local Verizon stores didn't have the exact phone in stock that I wanted. The other Verizon locations I went to told me my iphone upgrade would be apx $50 total for taxes and that my Verizon bill would reflect a $30 fee on next bill. When I came into this location, Dan told me the "set up" would take about an hour to transfer my data to the new phone. I asked why I wouldn't just set it up as I always had in the past with my apple ID. He said, "you can but it won't mirror your current phone if you do it like that." That's it. NO mention of ANY cost to do this. I figured what the heck, why not do it this way (the old school way with two cords between phones) so I leave the phone for an hour to do the transfer. When I come back and get my bill and there is a $60 charge for "data transfer fee" and "device initiation." It was NEVER explained, mentioned, even alluded to in any shape way or form, that this mirror image transfer was going to cost me $60. Dan of course insists they say to every customer that there is tax and a set up fee - of which I argue, even if you do say those words, there should be further explanation as to what the "set up" is exactly, and it should be clearly stated that this fee is not incurred if you set up your phone with your apple ID. I absolutely never would have done this data transfer had this been clear. He refused to credit me back for a "service already preformed". I even commented that I had been told by other stores this should only be costing me about $50 and Sabrina said, oh no, that's not true. LIE. Lastly, they sold me some knock off brand of tempered glass there that has no brand name on it and can't be found anywhere else for $50. This glass started chipping within 4 weeks. I went back and Dan told me my case wasn't protective enough. Total crap. These people are nice when you walk in, scam you, then turn nasty whey you call them out on their shady behavior. ------------- UPDATE - I'm not surprised that this is the way the staff at this store operates now that I have had a interaction with the area manager. A week or so after posting my initial review I received a phone call from the area manager - he said he was very concerned about my experience, wanted to understand what happened, etc. He said he would pull up my receipt and assured me he would call me back that day to figure out what to do that would make me feel better about the situation. Well, he never called. I even called him twice and left messages. Still nothing. If the area manager doesn't care about the customers and blows them off then if only makes sense that the store managers do as well. This place and the people are a cruel joke. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for many years ...started out with a blackberry and am on my second IPhone. A week ago I purchased an IPhone 6, and for a solid week I have been having many issues. I purchased the phone at our local Apple store. Twice I decided to go into Verizon to ask their opinion on my problems and what I should do. Both times I was given an amazing amount of attention and time and patience to try and solve my problems with the phone. I was sent back to the Apple store because it was felt the phone needed resetting. Well, it got reset all right .......but when I got home..all my photos and apps were gone !!!! I was beside myself so I went back into Verizon and I spoke with Daniel Saputo, who spent a numerous amount of time once again trying to retrieve my stuff. He came to the conclusion, the phone needed to be reset again.......I was too paranoid to do it....so he then said to call the apple help/tech people. I went home and did just that . That person came to the same conclusion...it had to be reset so the Icloud could bring it back to the original, so my photos could be retrieved. I told her the same thing........no !!!!! I was too nervous.....however, with enough patience and persistence, I caved in. Bravo Apple tech and Verizon. My phone is now perfect !!!!!! I am giving this store 5 stars because the employees are the best. They are patient , caring, and knowledgeable. I am so lucky to have them right around the corner from where I live, for help when I need it. I highly recommend using them. As far as I am concerned, they knew more about my phone than the Apple store people...........hummmm....that should not be. Thank you Verizon employees !!!! read more

Just as a point of contrast to my review of the Port Chester store - When I went in here and explained my situation the reps went over the specifics with me, what was available to me and what my options were. There was no tone, no attitude, nobody cutting anybody off when someone was talking, or in other words professional and appropriate customer service. read more

I am so impressed with the fantastic service I received at the Glenville Verizon store by employee,Joandra Cuevas this past week. My husband's I-messaging was not operating properly.Joandra was able to resolve the issue which was complicated involving changing the settings in the other family I phones which also included texting my son to help him do it remotely. The customer service in the Glenville store is the BEST of any in the area.The staff is extremely knowledgeable, courteous and professional - not things that can be said of other Verizon stores in the area. During our most recent visit my husband and I went in with a complex problem with his iphone 6 and the staff worked with us for over an hour and were able to trouble shoot the problem. She provided us with all the details that would allow his work IT department to ultimately correct the problem, which they had not been able to do up to that point. This is the level of service that we have come to expect and when we have made the mistake of going to other locations those experiences don't come close. Thanks and keep up the good work. read more

No matter what my question or issue the problem is solved efficiently with the greatest courteous and professional attention. 4 days after I wrote this review, I received a phone call from one of the rep's at the store who was very helpful. She said she was able to review my bill and had received the ok from VZW to have it restructured so the bill would be about $83 less. Great! It would be visible on the bill as of December. Fast forward to December...NOTHING!! The bill was just as high!!! Two calls to the store and nothing. No help. Was told to call VZW. And....VZW had NO notice of the changed bill OR a phone call from this store to restructure my bill! VZW wasn't able to help me lower my bill, nor did they have any idea how it would have been done the way the rep from this store had stated. So, I and still stuck with an unusually high monthly phone bill and I'm very angry!! Oh, and I still have the tablet (that I don't use and didn't want) on my bill. It will cost $155 to terminate the data contract. Don't go to this store! They are thieves and tricksters! Be careful!!!!!!! read more
