Food - fantastic. I got pasta and i have no complaints. I havent had the pizza so I camt comment on that. Delivery service - bad, that's unfortunately why I give this place 3 stars. I got a 10 minute lecture from one of the drivers about how I didn't tip enough. Apparently "people in this area tip $5 minimum regardless of what they purchase." He also told me that the drivers are fighting over the largest order size and that small orders no one wants to deliver. In other words, he didn't want to deliver my food and neither did anyone else. He ranted about how the owner doesn't pay them anything additional for wear and tear on the car (which I'm not saying he should) but this was the exent of our conversation. In his defense & full transparency - I ordered a $13 meal and tiped $2. So you be the judge on if you think that's fair. In my defense - I'm one person on a friday night, staying in, who didn't want to cook. I wanted something cheap and easy and that's where I found it. I'm not rich, why pay an arm and a leg if I don't have to. If it doesn't make business sense to deliver a meal of that size then set a delivery minimum and charge a delivery fee and I would gladly pay it. This time I only ordered $13 but maybe next time it would have been $20 or $50 or multiple times a week. I just moved in and there are many pizza places nearby. I'm trying to find consistant places to eat and unfortunately, although the food is good, I'm now hesitant to order because I'm nervous my order isn't good enough and who knows what the consequences are :/. Next time I'll keep my $14 lol. read more

I had a 2 slice pizza combo that came with a canned drink and a side salad. It did not disappoint! The two slices were cut to 4 and man I had it for dine in and i had to have to go cuz the slices were bigger than I anticipated. The crust is right the ingredients good. I really like this place! Plus the service was good the girl who was helping was a sweet heart! :) This place is my go to pizza place and it should be everyone else's when they need a quick pizza fix! read more

We ordered the Dinner for 5 People for two very hungry bachelors. Great pizza. Fresh toppings. The Caesar salad was great. Calzone was huge. The garlic bread was okay. It took about 1 hour to deliver. read more

This place is "money in the bank" good! I've ordered spaghetti and meatballs and it was fantastic. Chicken caesar salad. Delicious. Pepperoni pizza. The bomb. Their food rocks, their delivery guys are kind and the food arrives lightning fast and piping hot. I used to order from another well-known Glendale delivery spot but Verdugo Pizza is my new go-to spot! read more

DIRTY!! These people don't use gloves. They are grabbing the veggies and salad with bare hands then scratching their ass. I saw them. I will never go again. I've been going here for many years doesn't matter how much I will miss it after that experience it's over! The health department needs to attend!! Stay away!! Same owner as C K store which is a few stores down in the plaza. read more

Truly the best delivery pizza I've had in Cali. Fast, free delivery. Everything arrived piping hot. I'm a New Yorker so I'm very particular about pizza. Needed a pizza delivery nearby and came upon this place in my search. I was hesitant because this wasn't made by Italians. So pleasantly surprised with this Armenian pizzeria! First time and I was hooked! Will always get my deliveries from this place. I so love the pizza that I haven't tried the other items on the menu, but I will try them very soon. HIGHLY Recommend! After the experience I had with this place, I had to write a review. I could have sworn that I saw one of their advertisements on the gate of my place and read that they delivered to Highland Park. So I decided to give them a call. When I did, I still double checked and asked the man if they delivered to Highland Park. He told me that they didn't, but that he was going to check. That was fine with me, I was already on Yelp looking for other places that delivered besides Pizza Hut. He got back online and told me that he was going to do it today, but he wasn't sure if they were still going to do it. I totally wasn't expecting that. Most places wouldn't do that! In my opinion, that's great, no EXCELLENT customer service!!! On to the food. We ordered the Verdugo Special: one large pizza, one large salad, and 8pc chicken wings. My friend and I were not disappointed. The pizza was very good. It was not greasy like most places and the sauce was great. We got the spinach salad. It had mozzarella, bell peppers, and a side of italian dressing. It too tasted great! The wings were very delicious with just the right touch of spicy. Best part, is that we spent less than $20 for all this delicious food! Overall, whether or not they will continue delivering to Highland Park, I really don't care. I'm still going back. read more

These guys just can't get their shit together. We placed an order through MyPizza.com, which is how Verdugo handles their online orders. We never got a confirmation order, so we paused our movie and called Verdugo to check on the order. They gave us some weird runaround, badmouthed mypizza.com, and said they'd check the fax machine to see if our order had come in. THIS IS 20 MINUTES AFTER WE PLACED THE ORDER. Then we call mypizza.com and they proceed to badmouth Verdugo. They assure us they will call and place the order on the phone for us, which they do. An hour later, some dude shows up and drops off our food. Well, actually, it was not our food. It was someone else's food. My wife calls Verdugo back, explains the situation and asks how they'd like to make it right. The guy on the phone says--to my wife--"Fuck you, motherfucker". No joke. So we are on a job site and we needed to order delivery for everyone. We made the mistake of ordering from this place. I'm about to head out and pick up a bottle of Tums for my entire crew. Ugh. The order of onion rings and fries were disgusting as the grease they were prepared in was ok do and had that nasty burnt flavor..the onion rings were near burnt and the fries soggy and cold. The pizza was drowning in red sauce and had barely any cheese and sparse on the other toppings as well. The crust while crispy was flavorless. We will not be ordering from this place again. Oh...the Yelp 24 delivery guy was amazing...the restaurant had shorted us one of the sodas and the delivery guy offered to go to the nearest 7-11 and get one...we declined and he gave us money out of his his own pocket. I tried their delivery service and was happy with the outcome. I ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta and a Caesar Salad. Pepperoni Pizza was really good, the ingredients were fresh and the crust was really crispy. The Pasta was really good, not great, but it was above average that is for sure, the Caesar salad was good too, it was crispy and yummy.. I would recommend this place, i have yet to order again from here or to stop by to dine in but with so many spots, it is really hard to try a pizza place over and over, you need some change on the same cuisine i say.... read more

Been coming here with my family for quite awhile now and I must say it's about Time I write a review. Every time I come here I'm just so amazed at how the food is made here. The Italian salad is the best tasting Italian salad I've ever tasted because of its house made dressing! It's made from scratch. I've been getting their pastas too, and I must say they are delish! I don't have a favorite cuz every single pasta dish I've tasted has satisfied me. It always leaves me wanting more. And the pizza... Is great. I'm so glad that this pizzeria opened up right across the street from us. This has been my family's go to spot for pizza. Can't wait to try something new on the menu! read more

I am shocked that people seem to have had such bad experiences. This place always delivers on time and I've never had any problems with my pizza. Always delish! Also, the online ordering system through yelp makes the experience so simple! I recommend the Deluxe pizza (Salami, ham, bell peppers, onions, black olives and mushrooms) & the Mamma Rosa Pizza (Sausage, salami, olives, bell peppers and onions). read more

I was in the middle of an Iron Man/Iron Man 2 marathon with a friend and that scene when Jeff Bridges brings Robert Downey Jr pizza from New York came on and we both looked at each other and instantly knew we needed to order pizza. Neither of us wanted Pizza Hut or Dominoes, so he broke out his to-go menus -one of them was for Verdugo. There were so many menu items, and we were so hungry that it took us a few minutes to actually pick out which pizza sounded the best. We ended up deciding on the XL 18" Verdugo Pizza for $18.99. Chicken, pepperoni, onions, garlic, basil and feta cheese! Wow, it was so delicious and the pie was HUGE!!! The chicken was a little dry but the spices on the pepperoni made up for it! The combo of feta and basil was really intriguing -sort of like the love child of a Mediterranean and Italian pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy, but the weight of the toppings tipped the scale of the thin crust, so it was hard to hold onto the slice without a few feta crumble casualties flying into my lap. The heat of the pizza wilted the basil down to a cooked spinach consistency, but surprisingly enough, I was into it. In fact I ate so much so fast that I made myself sick..... I noticed the other reviews complaining about the wait time. They said it was going to be 40 minutes, and it arrived in 40 minutes. Not much else to comment on that except delivery is free with only a $10 order. The menu has so much to pick from that you could order something new everyday and not get tired of this place! I'm especially interested in the variety of salads on the menu! The Antipasto salad sounds yummy, and so does the chicken pesto and chicken Gorgonzola salads! Pizza, sandwiches, pasta (ravioli, lasagna, tortellini), salad, chicken wings, shrimp, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, fries, cheesecake, mousse and tiramisu are just a handful of menu items that peaked my interest. I wish I had a Verdugo Pizza in Pasadena -I'd be ordering from them all the time! Sunday night and I decided to expand my horizons on Pizza places. Casting the Dominos aside, I used EAT24's app to find somewhere new and I came across Verdugo Pizza. Yelp reviews looked great. The pictures of the pizza's looked delicious. What could go wrong?! well... EAT24 notified me that the restaurant had confirmed the order. It told me that it would take 45-60 mins; then it started the timer. Perfect. Time to catch up on my shows, let a bottle of wine breath (always a good way to 'classy' up your pizza) and kill some time. 45 mins later the show is over and no pizza..but it could be an hour so I pressed play on another episode. Another show over and I remembered that I'd ordered some food... I tried to give the location a call, but I'm greeted with a message that the establishment is closed!! Odd. Did I get the time wrong? Why didn't the app tell me? I checked Yelp to confirm their hours and it said they're open til 10. I clicked the button and the phone rang (cool feature). It told me it was connecting to the store. Then then same 'closed' message. As I'm trying to work out my next steps the door bell rings and the driver was there with my pizza. He apologized and when I told him about trying to call, he said that they had got busy so they switched the phone off. All-in-all the pizza arrived 1 hr and 50 mins after my order. Well..the pizza was ok. It wasnt cold after the wait. More expensive than the bigger chains. The toppings were fresh and it wasnt overly greasy. Just a real shame about the service. Take from this what you will, but I have to regretfully recommend avoiding delivery. read more

This place sure makes our family happy! The pizza is delicious! They always say our meal will be delivered within 35 min but it usually comes in 20 minutes. We always order the pasta, pizza, salad & garlic toast deal. It's so satisfying and affordable. I highly recommend this spot. We haven't ever dined in only ordered for delivery. Although this might have a good review but the wings they served us and the Haykakan pizza was disgusting. I am not satisfied and this and will never buy a pizza from this place. The wings were very dry and had no flavor at all. The pizza was dry and old........ I had food poisoning from this for 2 days! This is very low quality and I wish to never order and try this pizza again. read more

love love love this place! the pizza and wings are both delicious and you know what makes it even better? their pizza the next day! toast it up and it's mo betta than the day before, like insanely crispy and yummy! So I ordered from this place. Pick up. I got a chicken pizza. If thats what you wanna call it. What I got was a sorry looking pizza. The chicken didn't even look like chicken. They were so tiny diced they were the size of onion pieces. What made it worse there was about 3 per slice!... might as well just have called it cheese pizza. Too bad. I thought it was gunna be the best pizza ever after reading all the reviews. I want what they are having! lol... Maybe I came on an off day, maybe I should order a different pizza. I've had nothing but bad luck with this place, which is a shame, because it's right in our neighborhood. First time, I placed an online order via Seamless, but got no confirmation, so called them, and they never picked up and my order never came. So then I had to deal with getting a refund from Seamless because Verdugo was closed. The second time, I used Mypizza and I didn't get a confirmation for 20 minutes. I called them, they said that Verdugo is having problems with their fax machine and isn't getting orders, and they don't pick up the phone when they're busy, so they have no way to reach them. It sounded like they had a beef with each other, which isn't my problem, I just want to know if I'll be getting the food I ordered or not. After several calls to both, it sounds like they got my order and everything's fine. Except, when I received the order, it was completely the wrong order. (Filled with meat, and I'm a vegetarian). Also the pizza isn't that great, even Domino's is better, and their online ordering works and is always correct. So screw Verdugo. read more

It brings so much joy to the street every time I pass it and shows how much pride, care, and passion the people here put into what they do. You can tell they genuinely want to create something special, not just inside the store, but for the whole community around them. That's awesome. Second, the food here is phenomenal and actually priced well. It's refreshing to find a place that serves such high-quality food at prices that still feel decently affordable. Their lunch menu is next level just the photos alone will make you drool, and again great prices considering 2026's economy. It is delicious, satisfying, and honestly a better value than many cafes that charge the same or more for food that is nowhere near as good. The ladies who run the shop are also incredibly friendly, warm, and personable. They are always courteous, fun to talk to, and bring such great energy to the space. They also cut it in some creative way which means you have to fight over who gets the parts with the crust which is totally unnecessary. The salads were OK, although the server could not be bothered to remove it from the table after we ate it, so our table was just full of stuff when the pizza came. When the other diners in the banquet room left, their napkins and detritus stayed on the table for quite some time for us to look at while we enjoyed our meal. Also not great. I think I'd rather eat at Round Table. Sigh. These people have a cool spot, would be great if they could level it up a bit. We might have enjoyed it more if not for the awful table.
