Delicioso! I wasn't expecting much when I walked in. I just wanted a quick bite to eat before showing a prospective client a property. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The succulent pork tacos graced my taste buds with the elegance and subtle promiscuity of a grateful dead groupie. I can't wait to take my wife here so she can experience the same enlightening the I felt. I've always liked some spice in my life and now I know where to find it. Came here for lunch on a weekday and left in a near food coma! This place gives great portions and a good amount of flavor at an affordable price. For apps I got the guacamole. It was creamy, fresh and loaded with tons of lime flavor. A delicious spin on guac with the strong lime juice. My entree was al pastor tacos. The tacos came loaded with plenty of meat!!! They had a double taco shell and some pineapples on top. Very tasty. Overall I enjoyed the service and food. A nice casual spot for a quick lunch.

Wasn't very happy with the carnitas tacos. Usually it is "pork shoulder". This definitely wasn't that. Most of the taco was pig ears. Not any pork shoulder. I have a really weak stomach and can't stomach it. Not trying to offend anyone. I just wish there was a better description before I ordered it thinking it was something else.

This restaurant is dirty. I ordered Tostada con Pollo and a bug was in the meal.

Restaurant is extremely dirty. I ordered a tostada con pollo and a huge bug was located inside. I am completely sick to my stomach.

    Awesome guacamole!

Food is delicious, service with a smile. The salsas are amazing. The spicy red with the chips is great, Peruvian green with the lomo is amazing and the Verde is awesome. I've had enchiladas, tacos and lomo saltado and all were delicious. What is can't understand is why oh why, they can't put a 9volt battery in the smoke detector to stop it from beeping!!! I've been there twice over the last 2 weeks and both times the smoke detector beeps for a new battery. It's horribly annoying to eat there and hear that beep every minute. Makes me crazy. How do those people work there and not go nuts?

My go-to for amazing authentic Mexican food. The Taco's and Tortas are addictive. The quesadillas are great as are the tostadas.

The spot looks sketchy, a small local joint. But that was exactly what I was looking for. I was tired of all the fusion experimental cuisine and wanted some legitimate, homestyle fare. And that's exactly what I got. The spot itself has 2 tvs, one playing soccer, the other playing Latino NBC. The kitchen is behind the counter, out in the open, allowing all those delicious smells permeate the air. Our waitress was friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. Although they boasted tacos and burritos, I was intrigued by the Peruvian offerings. I ordered the Lomo Saltado, delicious meats stirred up with tomatoes and onions, laid over a bed of French fries and a side of white rice shaped like a pyramid. It was so good, I had to stop my wife from eating off my plate. I also had a steak taco which was the most authentic taco I have had since I've been to Mexico. She had the steak burrito with was two-handfuls of delicious awesome. Did I mention the pricing? We paid $28 for all that and had leftovers. Great place, great food.

This place was good. I got takeout. And it's always super crowded. The horchata was really good! I had the chorizo and al pastor tacos- they were both yummy and I would definitely order them again!!

The food at Veracruz is delicious. You know it's good because it's always full of Spanish speaking people. The waitress was very friendly and gives great recommendations if your not sure what to order. 5 stars! Go try it!

This place is amazing!! I was just running around town, and with a quick search to see what was to eat in the area google offered up this fantastic location. Decided to swing by and see what it was all about. I'm not even a little dissapointed that I did! First, the smell all by itself was fantastic... invited me right inside to grab a seat/table and pick out meals. After a peak at the menu I decided to try out a couple of tacos (Al Pastor and Carnitas), served of course with cilantro and diced onions. I also sampled their roast chicken while I had the chance thanks to an awesome server. Everything was so amazing!!! The chicken was moist and succulent. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. It was everything I could do to not add that to my order because I'd have to much food and no where to keep it! My tacos we're equally as good. The Al Pastor was pushing the dry side, but not. Just barked up enough to be of flavor and keep you in for the next bite. Meanwhile, the Carnitas were equally as moist and tender as the chicken and simply delicious. Zero complains, and every bit delicious. I don't visit as much, but will have to make it a point to come back... and make Cafe Veracruz a prime stop when I'm in the area! Highly recommended

When we walked in, we were promptly greeted and seated and given menus to peruse. We ordered the chicha morada to drink. Deliciously, well made and generous in portion, not too sweet--Perfect. To eat, we ordered the Leche de Tigre, Pollo a la Brasa with Maduros, and Lomo Saltado. The leche de tigre was perfection. Fresh, flavorful and a generous portion size. Perfect for sharing. I was super excited for the lomo as it's one of my favorite Peruvian dishes. Unfortunately, it left much to be desired. It simply was not fresh--the steak was dry, tough and lukewarm, the fries were cold, and the rice was cold and hard. As a result, the dish was barely touched. I told the waitress, and while she was surprised and provided the feedback to the kitchen, she didn't offer compensation or a remake. The pollo a la brasa was delicious. Hot, fresh, juicy and a generous portion size. The maduros were good but not cooked on both sides, which was a bit strange but still satisfactory as an accompaniment to the chicken. This dish was served with the arroz chaufa, which was well executed. Super flavorful. The ambiance is clean, mom-and-pop vibes--no frills, but good service and good food. Overall, a solid experience; will definitely be back.

There are two huge TV's on the wall facing the tables and one TV above the bar. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and specifically asked for white meat. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, the skin with slightly crispy and tastes sooooo good. My meal surprisingly came with 2 sides of my choice. I chose the Chaufa and plantains. The chaufa is Peruvian style fried rice that is flavored with a bit of soy sauce, ginger, scallions and scrambled egg. Delish!!!!! A must try. You can even order the Chaufa as a stand alone dish with whatever meat you want inside. :-) The plantains were my least favorite. Because they are super sweet and soggy. I like a crunch and sort of carmelized look. There's a Purple CornLemonade drink that is supposedly really good. But I didn't take a chance on it. Despite the owner offering me the opportunity to try it and take it back if I don't like it. I had to opt out. Because I'm on a lemonade and limeade kick right now. They are my preferred drinks of choice at the moment. But Hey!!! I'd like you to encourage you to try it.

Besides almost every table full at 1:15 lunch...including the back room and it is a large restaurant. We were seated without a wait. Took longer to navigate the huge menu. Hubby and I just wanted a light lunch. He ordered the chicken wings and I ordered the "fish" sandwich w/o cheese. Unfortunately, I was served the chicken sandwich not the requested fish sandwich. It still came with avacado, onions, tomato and lettuce. (No cheese as requested). Once I took a bite I realized I had the wrong sandwich. I was disappointed. Waiter apologized and offered to switch it up...I can see he felt bad and we were not quite sure where we both messed up...could have been me? Him? Not a big deal...I just kept it and enjoyed. Chicken was slighty dry (cheese would have fixed the dryness) but seasoned perfectly. It was a large sandwich with two layers of thin grilled chicken. I would split it next time. I like the way it was served...wrapped in a paper. I requested un-seasoned fries and my request was honored. It was all a generous portion. The restaurant is high energy, food around us all looked delicious and fresh, cocktails looked really good...I wanted to taste the cappuccino martini next to us...tempting to order one. Service was timely, friendly and efficient. Noise level a tad high however it was easy enough to carry on a conversation.
