absolutely unprofessional, I ordered through door dash and due to issues in the past with any delivery service I add the tip at the end when my food is dropped off efficiently and to the correct location . The workers at the restaurant had the audacity to call me to inform me that the delivery driver refused to bring my order due to him not seeing a tip . i explained to the lady I am going to tip him ONCE MY FOOD IS IN MY HANDS. She continued to insist that the driver wasnt bringing my order and hung up on me . I then called back . I requested to speak to a boss , owner or supervisor and they REFUSED to provide me any info . They stated they had many bosses and owners , and I advised I had the time to notate all (name , email etc) once again I got the run around. I then requested their names and the drivers name they as well refused and hung up on me again . The food quality is not the greatest to treat a paying customer with such disgusting manners. I work for the hospital and we're CONSTANTLY putting money into this business and their food to only get back this low level of treatment and lack of professionalism. Went for dinner on a last minute whim around 8-9pm. We got the pollo a la brasa and bistec a lo pobre for three people and the portion size was very generous. We got the food for takeout and the wait was very short for the amount of food we got, around 20 minutes. Service was super nice and the food was great. The chicken and the steak were well seasoned and very soft. We swapped the salad for the salsa criolla, which goes really good with the pollo. Make sure to get the yellow sauce and the green sauce! Pairs really well with the meats. Heard the Jalea was also popular and would get that next time. Highly recommend the pollo/chicken as a good step into Peruvian food if it's your first time. read more

This "WAS" a great Peruvian place some months back . I would look forward to stopping here as the portions and quality was the best bang for the buck around Westchester NY . I've been to almost every Peruvian restaurants in the area and was happy to find one sorta local to me . I found out that the owner has recently left and the quality and quantity shows . I ordered 3 times with 3 bad experiences which gave me the urge to give this review . I was in the resturant business for over 20 years so I understand certain situation that can occur . The new person in charge here is giving a lot less and quality is poor . The ceviche portion has shrunk along with it tasting very bitter having a ammonia smell which is a result of not being fresh . The next dish was a shrimp only ceviche and not having the shrimp they gave me a mixed one . I got home to the surprise of it and when I called them to let them know they gave me the wrong order they told me they ran out of shrimp and there isn't anything they can do . My last meal was a lomo Saltado large portion as I gave up on the fish and it was full of French fries .. let me guess ran out of meat on a Friday and substituted it with rice and fries .. Just came back from a fun dinner at El Miski. It's a little diner that has been outfitted with a bank of rotisseries. Not many tables. The staff were very nice and helpful with the menu. I don't know how they can stay in business with the prices that they charge. We shared a really generous order of delicious shrimp ceviche. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the green sauce added a lot of zip. My wife loved her rice. The French fries were unremarkable and I'm sorry that I didn't order them well done. My wife liked the salad better than I did, but it was fine. We were too full for dessert, but there was some good looking flan sitting on the counter. Very good, authentic Peruvian restaurant. This is been my go to spot for at least two years, but now I have a question: why can't I buy a takeout Rotisserie chicken - pollo alla brass - from here, even when they have 24 chickens cooking, which was the case tonight. We have no problem getting our orders of chaufa, or anything else, but when it comes to ordering rotisserie chickens for takeout, we are always told that they don't have any. Tonight, there were 24 chickens cooking when we came to pick up our meals. Still, the restaurant manager told us that those chickens were already accounted for, and would not sell us one. What is up with this? Can anyone explain? Simply fabulous Peruvian home cooking. I'm particularly fond of the camarones al ajo (shrimp in garlic sauce), chicharron de pescado (fried fish with French fries and an onion salad to die for!) and the many styles of chaufa (fried rice). Definitely authentic place, mostly Spanish speaking, food comes in HUGE portions. Very friendly service. Very reasonable prices. The area is a bit sketch, but there is street metered parking nearby. The restaurant is styled in a diner-type trailer. We had the: 1) half rotisserie chicken which came with side of rice and salad. HUGE portion - enough for two people. only $9. I've definitely had better with crispier skinned chicken skin but this was decent 2) salchipapa - $6 fries with sausage, comes with side of salad. Big portion, sausage was flavorful as expected, fries came very oily and could be crispier 3) Pollo saltado - $10 stir fried chicken with rice and fries mixed in. BEWARE it comes with cilantro. NOTE - the rice is white rice but comes salted which I wasn't used to and would have preferred bland since the food is already quite salty. Also the green sauce was spicy but I've definitely had better at Pio Pio. read more

Terrible customer service!! Do not waste your time!! I placed an order over the phone and they told me to come in an hour to pick it up. I waited around doing meaningless things for an hour. When I went to pick up they told me the order was still not ready. I only ordered a rotisserie chicken with rice and salad. I then waited for another 15 minutes and still no food!! No apology or update. It's like they only began to start order once I got there. And this is the second time this happens. The first time was with Uber pick up and they clicked that food was ready for pick up but yet I still waited 30 minutes after. I thought it was an Uber cliche, but I now see it's them. If you're not going to start food until we get there then say you don't take phone orders. Do not waste a whole hour of people's time!! Freakin disgusted with you guys!!! Well I gotta say your place the food is ii which means " eh okay " however my complaint is about how high is the food price and the delivery' person who doesn't pay attention to what they are delivering. I never get the well delivery service. Usually they take their sweet ass time , no sauces are added. Pros: Most of the food is cheap, the place is clean, the staff offers good service and they are open 24/7. Their pollo a la brasa is by far the best one I've had in White plains. Cons: They tend to be really busy all day, so be prepared and order ahead of time. Their delivery guy also takes forever to deliver food. Most of their traditional dishes are prepared just right. I noticed that they use ingredients exported from Peru, so you really get to taste authentic Peruvian food. -Just don't come here if you are really hungry and you want your food to be done in 10-15 min. read more

My father in law had a medical procedure in the area to be done and received an hour break to eat a meal. (He had not eaten for over 16 hours). We placed our order and patiently waited over 25 mins. Given that we were pressed for time I went up to the counter and asked politely ( I work in the service industry as well) how long the food had left to go because of the medical procedure we were pressed for time could the gentleman please check. He rudely told me the food takes 15 mins I don't care sit and wait. I was shocked. I manage a business locally and will let everyone know not to eat there. It is a shame given that the food is good but service is always most important. We walked out and even though I live in the area I will never return there again and will make everyone I know aware of the poor service. The world has changed competition climate is huge just in the area there are 4 more Peruvian restaurants. I hope you guys learn that poor service will ruin your business ! This place is an undiscovered treasure disguised as a barely open taker-out restaurant next to a gas station. They only do take-out and barely speak English, but their food speaks its own language. We were sitting waiting for our food, when an intoxicated male behind me kept rocking the seat,knocking onto me. Not only that, but he was yelling in a conversation through the phone. Disrupting the peace. When my boyfriend sat next to me, the individual behind us, threaten my boyfriend if further movements were made, that he would "force" him to stop. All staff members and manager witness the scene, entirely, did nothing to accommodate us. Instead, we were told by the manager that the intoxicated person "was not bothering anyone" and was told "so what if he is drunk?" As a result the manager did not care about what was happening and to us and told us to "get out" instead, when we kindly asked if we could cancel our order. I used to love this place cause their Chaufa de pollo is heavenly and amazing but kinda salty. The thing that turns me off was how they treat customer. Rude and nasty. Can't even understand a simple order on phone in plain simple English and Spanish. Okay we get it, you're related to the owner what does that have to do with my order I placed over the phone. I really wanted to give this place a great review. We walked in and the place was packed with locals - a great sign. I got soup to go, and an order of steak. I was overcharged for the steak (it was corrected when I pointed it out); I ordered the chicken soup ($5) - but the hostess insisted the $8 soup was the same as the $5 soup - that the $5 item was listed incorrectly? Didn't make sense - but I wasn't too concerned if I got the $8 soup. However - the soup was such a disappointment. It tasted like canned soup, the chicken seemed artificial (odd texture) and it was filled with pasta and some potatoes. So if you come to this restaurant - I would avoid the chicken soup. read more

Based on other yelp reviews, I went with the fried rice with mariscos, which was quite a dish - loaded with egg, nice shrimp and tender squid, and studded with bits of octopus, mussel, and what I think was scungilli. Too much food for one person - better to share this one. Needed a bit of hot sauce. Washed it down with an Inca cola. My colleague also had a mixed seafood, in a savory yellow sauce over french fries. I ordered a side salad which never arrived. Some people got rolls, we didn't. While a reasonable value, given the funky decor and lack of accoutrements, I wouldn't say my dish, at $13.00, was cheap. There was an $8 lunch special available, a lot of food for the money, but the main course was tilapia, which is not my cup of tea, Will go back for Peruvian chicken. read more
