It's located across from Mamaroneck High School in a structure from the 1920s that mimics a Chinese pagoda, evocative of early roadside America. Walter's does a booming business and has a long line around lunch time (when I went) but the line does move ultimately. Trust me it's worth the wait! I ordered the Big Walt and a six-count potato puffs. OMG! This dog is something else! First, it's made with pork, beef and veal for a unique flavor, split down the middle, and their signature mustard has a slight, delicious tang to it. The potato puffs are like little buttery puffs of mashed potato with a nice crust. And while waiting for the order to be filled, you can read a sampling of postcards sent to Walter's during various decades. Lots of history in both ambiance and taste that you will love. There's also a parking lot hidden behind the pagoda if you can't find parking along Palmer Ave. So what are you waiting for? Get your buns to Walter's and have a great split dog all snug in a bun!

We've been to at least 30 weddings collectively and the food at ours was top two. We did a salad course, pasta, 5 varieties of pies, two wood fired veggie variations and the cast iron cookies. MPT also handled cocktail hour--arrancini, chicken tenders and chicken meat balls, plus charcuterie and crudite. Everything was so delicious and impressive, our guests still talk about it. We had an upscale backyard wedding, and the guys accommodated our request to do family style service. The execution was completely seamless and the presentation was even more intentional than we expected. The food was hot, delicious, perfectly timed and well portioned. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say. We have been thinking of other events we can host just so we can use Mobile Pie Truck again. Frank was very easy to work with, communicative and professional. They accommodated requests for additional items like pastas and salads we were interested in that weren't on the menu. They helped curate our courses and offered suggestions on what would and wouldn't work for menu options at scale. They were friendly and clean and they had a really impressive setup. We found their pricing to be the most reasonable of all the vendors we looked into, and the execution was truly seamless. Wedding food even at the more dialed in venues can be so boring, forgettable and most of all expensive. Mobile Pie Truck was the antidote to all the typical wedding catering pitfalls and then some. There is also a very nice bar. The menu offers a good choice of Peruvian delicacies at reasonable prices. The meals are beautifully and tastefully prepared, and the service is friendly and excellent. There is street parking on Midland Avenue. My friends and I really enjoyed our first visit here and we shall definitely be back again soon. Highly recommended.
