After a long day out and about, three of us came here on a recent rainy evening. We were hungry and Peruvian food sounded good to us! We have missed our favorite Pervuvian place in California! The menu items were not quite the same as the ones we have had so we tried to order things that sounded similar. My daughter and I shared a couple dishes: the Papa Andina a la Huancaina (fingerling potatoes with huancaina cheese sauce topped with hard boiled egg) and one of the "Chef's Specialties," Arroz Con Mariscos a la Huancaina, a rice and seafood dish that came topped with an orchid. My husband got the Half Chicken with two sides and we all shared an order of Sweet Plantains. We were happy with what we had! The dishes were flavorful and comforting. Plus, we had a very attentive server. While it was not like the ones we are familiar with, we would come back again if we are in town.

Wanted to stay local for our anniversary dinner so we came here for the second time. It was even better than the first and they expanded the menu too. The only negative is that I wish they had more vegetarian options. We will definitely come back again.

Food was ok. Their appetizer was a little cold when served. Main dish was very greasy and it tastes kind of like Chinese fried rice. What is the sneakiest thing is that they charge additional 3.5% surcharge if you use a credit card. It was completely unheard of. I asked to refund the credits card charge and use a debit card but they refused because their manager was not on duty. And they asked us to come back the next day but it was impossible, because we live live New York City. My recommendation is don't do business like this or at least be transparent and upfront about these additional charges

So yummy! authentic peruvian restaurant gem and i'm very happy i discovered it on an outing with friends. it is very cozy environment and delicious succulent flavors. when i went there was plenty of seats available. we got steak and eggs with a special rice which was incredible i never had anything like that rice before. i got some shredded chicken in a hollandaise type of sauce with white rice and it was very beautiful. i will go here again if i'm ever in the area. it is definitely something you should try when you're out of nyc! 10/10 thank you for this meal and the generous hospitality!! love peruvian food especially this restaurant!

Called to make sure the place was open on a Saturday afternoon and asked if they were busy; the response, "we just opened, we are not busy". Came here anyway. We heard the sangria was good "most popular drink", "recommended by Westchester magazine"... says so right on their menu. Tried to order a pitcher of it, they said they ran out..?!? We were here on a Saturday at 1:30pm... and no sangria. I stuck to water. Appetizers were good. Entree was fried well and a huge portion that came with a variety of dipping sauces. So if you're looking for a good meal, and not much else, this is a place to check out.

Excellent Peruvian food, I'd definitely make the drive just to eat here again. The seafood is really really fresh, it certainly shows in their Jalea and ceviche dishes. As you can see in the picture, the Jalea is basically a mountain sized portion of fried seafood. Try it with all the sauces, and ask for a side of their green sauce as well. They didn't have the beef heart anticucho, but they had the octopus version available. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor was on point. Usually its hard to cook octopus perfectly, but they succeeded deliciously. They didn't have a drink menu (or maybe they just forgot to bring me one?), but I ordered a chicha morada and passionfruit drink. They were both homemade and really refreshing. They really kept me going as I worked my way through the Jalea. This cozy place is a winner in this nice quiet town. The service was excellent, our waiter (I believe his name was Juan) was really excellent and attentive. Whether you're curious about Peruvian cuisine or are an avid fan, Aji Limo is a great restaurant to satisfy your cravings.

My girlfriend and I decided to share the very generous portion of paella. The rice in the paella was absolutely delicious and there was a good assortment of seafood. My only criticism if any was that it was a little bit oily as we worked our way down to the bottom of the dish. We ate plenty each and had plenty to take home. We then decided to try the desserts. I had the bread pudding or Tres Luce (spelling?) and she had the flan. Both were delicious but unfortunately, towards the bottom of each, we discovered that they had just recently been frozen. They hadn't quite thawed out at the bottom! The service was excellent - warm and inviting. I wish I could've given an extra star, but between the frozen deserts decide and the oily paella I couldn't.

And though the decor and space is really nice, the lack of people doesn't make for a fun and/or lively atmosphere which I find really important for any restaurant experience.

The rotisserie chicken is juicy with crisp skin, paired perfectly with classic sides like rice, beans, and vegetables that don't feel like afterthoughts. The takeout special is an easy win -- generous portions, great value, and ideal for sharing. Add the yuca fries (extra, but worth it) for that crispy-outside, fluffy-inside bite. Service is friendly and efficient, beer is cold, and the space works whether you're sitting down or grabbing food to go. It's an excellent stop after a hike or an easy neighborhood go-to if you're craving something comforting and flavorful. Highly recommend.

My young friend wanted to take me to her new "favorite taco place". I was shocked when we ended up at Mancora, which is (supposedly) Peruvian. But what do I know? We also got a bowl of guac which was surprisingly inexpensive and delicious. The tacos come in two's, so note to self, TWO IS ENOUGH! I ordered 4, and sent the extras home with her. I'm not sure how these would do as take-out, whether they'd get soggy or not. If you can go off-peak, you might be better off dining in. The good- their lomo Saltado and chaufa are spot on and delicious. Their pollo ala brasa is my kids favorite and we regularly order it on Wednesdays when they do their special. Everyone is very friendly but all don't speak English great (luckily my husband is Spanish so we always manage). We have been longtime customers- back to when they were under a different name (flavor point) and across the other side of Meriden. The cons- prices have gone up and portions seem much smaller. My lomo last time barely had any steak. The last time we went for 2 adults and 2 kids (one who only ate a side of rice) it was well over $100 before tip- no apps just meals and 2 drinks. There is no kids menu and nothing they can do to accommodate so you are buying your 2-5 year old a $20 meal they will eat a few bites of . Their pollo ala brasa is not always available- which I get but weekends I feel like it should be and we have gone twice now and had it be unavailable. my son will literally not eat anything else on the menu (as noted no kids options either). He had to sit there and not eat while we ate and get him food from across the way afterwards. One time we got the ceviche and I know the lime juice cooks the fish (believe me I eat ceviche regularly as well as sushi) and this fish was raw. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said it was fine. I couldn't eat it. But still had to pay for the dish which is high priced for the small serving. Cute atmosphere but small so can fill up quickly. Careful in bathroom , had gone a few times and almost fell from slick floor. It was clean but slick- maybe what they're using to clean it.

Something about the sign aesthetic made me think it would be a good place. I Yelp-Searched it, and Lima 32 damn near had a perfect rating based on less than 50 reviews. I'm a Food Blogger. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

It being happy hour, my dad ordered two cocktails listed there. When the bill came we were charged full price for these. The catch on this menu: it is for "bar and lounge only." We were apparently in the restaurant, not the lounge. Why would they put the happy hour menu on the table where it's not available to be served, we asked ? We asked our server, who told us "I don't know anything about that, that's just what the owner does." She was apologetic only when pushed on it and offered for us to talk to the manager, Jennifer. "Hi, I heard you had something to say about the happy hour menu," Jennifer said as she came over. We explained that we thought it was unfair that these menus would sit on every table in the room where it's not allowed. The difference was $8 for the two cocktails. I asked if she would honor the price and she said she couldn't, because "you guys are the first people to ever say anything." Hopefully we are the last. See the picture of the menu. For $8 and an apology for the confusion she could have saved three customers. Food was really good. But we left with an awful taste in our mouths over this because no one would take the initiative to fix this problem.
