Had a great winter experience renting skis for family. Staff were kind and went so far as to discount days that I didn't use the rentals while still having them on me. read more

This place was a disaster. They gave us absolutely no instructions on where to go, which means we got lost while going back into the town which had no bike path. Finally, we had to take a bus home which could only fit two out of the 4 bikes, go figure. If you want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere I recommend this company! read more

Had an AMAZING experience at the Venture store in Vail Village, Tyler took the time to find the find the cause of a squeak (or 2) that had been driving me crazy all day, plus helped me adjust my bike fit a bit more and explained a couple of things I didn't even know about my bike. I interacted with 3 guys in the shop and all were so kind and generous with their knowledge. read more

Stopped by the day before to hold 2 bikes. I'd recommend doing that, so you get a rental, they have multiple locations and will make it happen with a heads up. Bikes were well maintained, which as a cyclist is very much appreciated. John Johnson set our seats and gave us the run down on E-bikes. We went about 40 miles up to Vail top of the ski slope and back down. Bikes performed perfect, good tread on tires, good breaks, everything well aligned. Thank you Venture Sports for a great day! read more

Really frustrating experience. We were in Beaver Creek for the weekend, and my husband realized he had left his beanie at home. We walked in at 5:20 and two people welcomed us in, and the person at the counter promptly told us the store was closed. All posted hours and hours online read that the store was open until 1800. Another person was allowed to come in and check out. We were turned away. My husband had planned to buy two beanies as soon as we walked in. It didn't feel great, and almost felt targeted. read more

We rented E-bikes today from Venture in Avon. The service provided by Sabrina and Greg was outstanding. They provided perfect equipment and explanation of the bike. Suggestions for tour were perfect for us too. They never rushed us and were completely professional. read more

We rented e-bikes on a cold day and could not have been treated better. The bikes were in great shape and we received clear instructions on how to operate the bikes. When we returned after about an hour the host treated us very generoulsy. I highly recommend this business because of the quality of service and the equipment. read more

Superior business!!! Their motto is: "Friends don't let friends ride junk!" We rented bikes for the day to ride up to Vail Pass and were given superior bikes that were incredibly comfortable. I rented an e-bike and my partner rented a Pinarello road bike (best bike he's ever ridden!!!). Both bikes were well maintained. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!!! read more

I am 56 years old and have never written a yelp review before. The staff was rude even nasty and at best misleading. Their attitude reflects poorly on the crisis we are all experiencing in our own way. I will never enter Venture Sports again and recommend that those who were reading this as a reference do the same. Another first for me today was to file my first complaint with the better business bureau. Sincerely read more

Been renting from Venture on and off when I'm in Beaver Creek all this season. They have great skis and the staff are amazing. Tyler, Wesley, Cooper and the team all go out of their way to accommodate you. I've rented from a number of places in the area and these guys are hands down my favorties! read more

My Local Go To Place. Cooper and the entire staff go out of their way to help out. I've used them for years. Best ski tune ups in the Vail/BC Valley. Great rental ski options. Loads of bike tech as well. Always like to support smaller and local businesses, this is the one for ski/bike. Thanks to everyone at Venture!! read more

Here is an extra star * since I can't give them 6 stars here. If you are in Vail do yourself a favor and go directly to them. The entire staff is courteous. I worked with Tex whom put together my electrical bike. He is, knowledgeable and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure my bike is safe to drive. Thank you. read more

Excellent service with reasonable price. They do overnight ski tuning professionally. Very impressive and definitely deserve my 5 star rating. read more

Zach and Cooper were great! Whole process was smooth. Bikes worked great and we had a fabulous time read more

Venture Sports - Bikes Near Me - Avon, Colorado

Very efficient. Great location. We rented a bike for a last minute ride with my kids and were looking for a trailer, which we couldn't find in other shops. Everyone was really helpful and nice. It took us less than 20min at the store to get and pay for the bike, trailer and helmets. We came back and dropped them off before closing. Everything was a breeze! Total cost: $65 for a full day. read more

The Vail Village crew is amazing. We stopped in to look for a new bike for my wife. After a few questions, they knew exactly what to put her on. She loves it and is having so much fun riding now! They also got my bike dialed and riding like new. The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly and fun to work with. read more

Great bike shop, great local cycling knowledge. I rented a Pinarello - gorgeous bike, primo condition. Owner Mike took the time to recommend routes and draw Strava maps. Unless you object to the feeling of inadequacy one gets in comparing climb times with Mike's times, then take his advice! read more

All the staff at Venture sports are great! Just visited again after living in the valley fir me any years and still received the top notch service I always did "back in the day". Kudos to you and your staff Mike! read more

Called vail location.great customer service. Super helpful. Definitely the best bike shop in the area. Certainly in that building.

Great service from Tyler, who fitted 3 of us on E-bikes for a ride to Vail and then to Edwards on all day trip. One bike chain broke and they responded promptly (Mr. Jacobs) with another bike. Prices are very affordable for the area. Highly recommend. read more

I have rented both Ski's and bicycle's from Venture for the past 6-8 years and have always been treated with kindness and efficiency. I just rented Ski's from them for my son and I and had a great experience. I like doing business with them as they always take care of any issues that may arise and make me feel like I am their best customer. Thank you Venture Sports! read more

Rented Skis from Avon location took back to hotel and the ski shop laughed and said you got these from Venture Sports. They charge for Demo Skis and give you old low end skis. I went right back and the guy said he would take 30% off the price I said no and returned. The heavy guy was laughing in the back because he knew I caught them. I also talked to Christy's and they said they have been doing this all season. read more

We rented our skis from Venture Sports at the Grand Hyatt in Vail! They offer a great service! The employees are very helpful and kind! Everything was very well organized and they made sure you were comfortable through the rental process. The skis and boots were in great condition! Highly recommended read more

I live in Avon, and thought I would hit up a local shop for a quick ski tune, December 9th, 2014. The gentleman working, with a very straight face, said the tune would be $75, for ONE pair of skis. I asked if I heard him correctly, and he quite shortly replied, "Yes." With places like Alpine Quest and, heck, even Vail Sports, there is NEVER a need to return to Venture Sports. AVOID. read more

I've never experienced quick and easy service when it comes to picking up ski rentals. Granted it was a Thursday morning (not really sure how busy they get during the week) and no other customers were in the shop. The co workers were friendly and helpful. The shop was very clean. The price of our rentals were a lot cheaper then I was expecting...with is always a plus :). They even provided our group with a discount....which is a double plus. If I'm ever back in Beaver Creek, I will definitely go to venture sports for my rentals. read more

Five Stars for value--Top quality demos skis, great service, great price! I have rented demo skis from Venture sports on two trips to Beaver Creek. If you make your reservation online, you can get demo skis and poles for under $40/day including damage insurance. when you consider the hassle of traveling with skis, paying second bag fees, and the opportunity to ride top quality skis suited to the mountain and daily conditions, leaving your skis at home and renting at Venture Sports makes a lot of sense. read more

Wife went in to get daughter's skis adjusted only to be met with a defensive reaction from the staff member present. He seemed concerned about her pressing legal action due to how they originally set up the skis when all my wife wanted was for them to adjust it to better suit our daughter's needs. Things escalated and got ugly at which stage my wife decided just to leave and find a solution elsewhere. Shabby customer service. We won't be going back or recommending to anyone else. read more

I'm writing this review for the Venture at the Grand Hyatt Vail. SIMPLY THE BEST! Exceeds expectations. The staff is super courteous, attentive, interested in your experience and strives to get your boot and ski fit perfect. Highest recommendation. We utilized the shop by the Cascade lift and must say the service was AWESOME. Large staff to fit our group quickly, boots were warm & soft EVERY DAY! Great friendly service bringing your skis & boots out when you walk in and there to take them with a smile when you get back and overnight storage included - the apres beer & wine was NICE too! Not on the inexpensive side but you get what you pay for and the few extra $ was worth it!!! When making an online reservation just make sure you get the right location - the online reservation system was a little off or missing this locale read more

Awesome bike shop. Completely accommodating. Friendly. Informative. Humble. Flexible. Fantastic experience. You guys helped make my BC MTB experience effortless (well except for the climb ). Thanks so much. We will see you again. read more

I went to the shop in Avon to get some work on my mountain bike. They did an awesome job bleeding and fixing my brakes. Highly recommend!

We were in the area for a wedding, and I was desperate to get out on trails. Zach and the team at Venture set me up in a big way: My Yeti for a couple of days was ideal -- perfectly tuned, and set in advance to my height and weight. Zach also asked me what kind of riding I was up for, and then sent me out on just the right trails. I know Venture has other stores in the area; I can tell you that the one in Avon is a great place to rent a bike! read more

We had a great experience renting bikes from their Base Camp location in Vail. They had wonderful bikes and equipment and were very friendly and helpful. They drove us to the gore creek trail at vail pass and we had a beautiful ride back. Amazing experience! read more

If I could give it a 6th star for their service I would. Top of the line ski equipment, followed by top line people. I booked a ski trip and rented ski gear through Venture, JD stayed in touch with me the whole time and even documented when I told him I had been rehabbing from a torn Achilles. I called him early Saturday morning and said I am done and swollen can you pick my gear up and credit me the other day, without question he said you bet and all over it. My son still has his gear though tomorrow. If you need a first class experience and a great place to rent gear Venture Sports is the spot. Frist class and thank you for a wonderful experience. read more

I rented a road racing bike from Base Camp in Vail Village. The bike was a top of the line Pinarello Dogma and so was the price ( $150 for one day rent). After I left the store and started to climb toward Vail pass I realized the electronic shifter for the front derailer did not work ( they had forgotten to recharge it). It is no fun when you have a steep climb and then the same descend. When one rents a bike so expensive it expects the basic to work. But what annoyed me is they did not offer even a minimum refund! read more

Definitely a 5 star business worthy of more than 5 stars. We had our mountain bikes shipped to the Avon location to be assembled for a week of riding. We could not have been happier with Zach and his staff. Their customer service and attention to detail is excellent. We will definitely use their services for years to come. read more

Rented three bikes for different people over two weeks. The bikes were nice, the staff were a bit standoffish, and the overall rental experience was just okay. I don't think all the bikes provided were well sized for each person. read more
