When are you all gonna check 28's car and realize that he's cheating? So many people have made posts during his last 5 races trying to get you all to wake up and yet you still refuse to step up and see his modified rear suspension. Cheaters shouldn't be allowed to race! It's like lance Armstrong let's strip his last 5 wins

I came here to see Caifanes a Mexican band so of course the majority of attendance is hispanics and…read morelatinos. I'm getting my tickets ready and get checked by security and my tickets were fake, which I do not blame the venue for I blame stubhub. The attendant (over weight white man with beard) was very incredibly rude. He was loudly talking about the type of people in line with his coworker, and just had a rude and off putting demeanor. I was already in tears at this point because I was looking forward to this concert and he was making me feel bad for purchasing fake tickets which wasn't my fault. After driving almost 2 hours for this concert being treated like that was insane, I asked him nicely if there was anything I could do and he didn't even look at me just said No, and looked at his phone so I broke down in tears I don't care I was frustrated very rude.

The Ventura Theatre for me is like 3.5 stars but I'll bump them up because music venues in the 805…read moreare extremely limited and I am happy that we have this venue as sometimes pretty decent bands do roll through to play. This venue brings back a lot of good memories and the theater interior is definitely cool and vintage, giving a really solid vibe and old time feel. The positives are that the security working the front always seems to be nice. They do their mandatory searches and I appreciate the effort to enforce safety. I've never minded being pat down or having bags checked, in this day and age it seems reasonable. Staff here overall are nice from the security, to the wristband guy, to the bartenders. The venue is intimate and easy to navigate once inside. I appreciate the size and that they do have seating options if you need upstairs. I'd never go up there but glad there is some separation by having two floors. They do a pretty good job of updating their website and social media accounts that I can gauge their shows way in advance which is nice and appreciated. Ticket prices are average, usually more than $30 but not too expensive. The cons are similar to what others wrote. The sound could be better for sure. Also the floors are always sticky and gross up by the bar, even if only shortly after opening. It's definitely way too hot in here. I get it's a small venue and concert goers will always feel a bit hot or stuffy but here it's always extreme to me. I really wish they would update their air systems. I always leave here unnecessarily drenched. I guess now I just chalk it up to being apart of the experience. Last room for improvement is get rid of the $20 bar minimum for debit/credit cards. I really would love to just buy one beer. Paying with a card now I always have to buy two to hold or at least buy one for a friend and then they get the next round. Not terrible but inconvenient. Most venues have gone away from taking cash post Covid and that honestly moves the crowd along faster at concerts so I do think they are a little behind the times to still be taking cash or basically punishing you that if you want to use your card you have to pay more? It's not the end of the world but every time I come here I forget and get a little annoyed that I have to dish out extra money when really I just want one beer at a time. Maybe that will change with time but if it hasn't by now post Covid, I doubt it will. Definitely this place has its pros and cons, like most music venues do. I do appreciate this place for what it is and have seen many great concerts here - so I look forward to coming back and I can overlook these little issues, but it would be nice if overtime they made some changes and took the customers feedback into consideration seeing as a lot of reviewers had similar critiques.

This is one of the few times I've gone to a smaller venue especially with such a wide dance floor. For the price, it's totally worth it to go if you can make the trip as you can end up real close to the stage if you want or move around depending on the people present. Otherwise, there's a section of seated tables you can pay more to sit at and enjoy the event in comfort. It was definitely a venue for local artists to perform at, not like the theatre venues in LA. One of the fans actually managed to get the artist to sign their merch after the concert was over!! While, I didn't partake in the alcohol/food vendors there. The staff there were relatively professional about it and prices are generally what you'd expect. There is parking in the back of the venue, but since I had arrived past sundown it was pretty hard to see the entrance on the first go around. Otherwise, I would recommend you park in the residential blocks as it wasn't a tough time walking to the venue. While unclear at the time, the venue security said no outside bottles/drinks before you enter the venue.

First Annual Hamburger and Hops Music Festival - there better be another one next year!…read more The selection of beers were adequate - I felt as if a "Hamburger & Hops" festival should have had more vendors and a few more "burgers" than they did, but it ended up being a great day at the collection. I loved the music and the amount of people that turned out, as it felt as if the community really did end up coming together. Very fun - although it was my own fault i got sunburned haha. Can't wait for the 2nd Annual H&HMF!

Tickets: Located in Oxnard at the Collection. $10 for general admission or $30 for admission, 3 sliders, 1 beer, and a collectible beer glass to take home. Before the event, check to see if there is a groupon. You can pay before or pay when you arrive. Parking: There is parking because it is located near a bunch of restaurants and shops. We took Amtrak and took a cab (about $15 each way). They had people who would call cabs or shuttles for you after the festival. Security: Lots of security around. It was a safe environment. Everyone there wanted to just eat, drink, and have a good time. No one got out of hand. It had a friendly vibe. Layout: It's located on a grassy area. Lots of nice fountains, grass, seating, even outside couches to sit on. There is a play area for kids and we saw a lot of people who brought their children. The music stage was in the middle. They had beer stands all over and some food in the front and lots more in the back. ATMs located within the festival. There is a B of A right outside, you can just take out money there before you walk in. Music: DJs and bands were great. They played a wide variety of music that seemed to fit the mood perfectly. Beer Selection: You have to pay cash for beer. You have to buy beer tickets at a booth and then you use those tickets to get the beer. 4 tickets for $20. Firestone, Surf's, Burt's Honey, Island, BJ's, Anacapa. Surf's was probably the most popular and best tasting beer in my opinion. So good that they ran out of beer. Even if you have the souvenir pint glass, ask for your beer in a plastic cup (you'll get a little more beer and you don' t have to worry about dropping your cup). Sliders and Food: You can use your tickets or pay cash. Some places took credit cards. It's in the Sauce BBQ - very good, super fast service, the ladies serving the burgers were great! Haute Burger - Sliders were delicious (Ahi Wasabi was the best), but negative points for the wait time (we were of the first 10 people in line and waited 50 minutes for 2 sliders), they also changed their prices as we were standing in line. Blue Light Food Truck - solid Mexican food, but they ran out of asada fries :(. Busy Bees - delicious Tri-Tip. Overall, great selection. Hula Hut's Hawaiian Sliders - great selection of Filipino food. Overall, it was a fun festival. Great food, great beer. What more can you ask for?
