We bid our project out to two companies for installation of an HVAC system. We went with Air…read moreSystems Solutions and so glad we did. The owner, Brian, provided great communication and follow up before, during and after the installation. An old gas heater was removed from our attic and a new very quiet and efficient Mitsubishi electric HVAC was installed outside. The two installers were friendly, knowledgable and professional and got the job done in two days. We now have a great system that meets all of our expectations. I would highly recommend this company.

After reporting a furnace issue (ignitor continually activating after burner was ignited and blower…read morerunning) to my home warranty company, they sent a contractor technician. He diagnosed that the blower needed to be replaced. (I am a certified aero engineer, so am familiar with ignition and burner systems) When questioned about the continuously activating ignitor, he indicated that the continuously running ignitor was "normal." When I sowed him online that the continuously activating ignitor was not normal and could be dangerous, he didn't 52 minutes researching Google on his cell phone and did not change his diagnosis or estimate fir cleaning the fan and replacing the blower that was working fir an additional $240 over the warranty's initial service fee. I called highly recommended Air Systems Solutions in Ventura, CA who arranged for a technician visit the next day. He was very courteous and did a very thorough job and replaced the ignition panel. Aside from the part itself, the service fee was less than half of the original contractor's estimate. Highly recommend work from Air Systems Solutions in Ventura CA.

After calling a few places Rocky I felt like went out of his way to take care of this situation. $700.00 AN HOUR Yep, a friendly serviceman came, did a basic…read moreair conditioning repair and he did a good job. But, I timed the visit, and it was a few minutes under an hour, and that included everything; the estimate and repair labor. The bill was $ 758.00 for that hour. I talked to the repairman about the cost of parts versus labor and he said they were not separated out. I talked to the business owner later on. He said that of the $758, the parts were about $80....although I found Amazon is cheaper. He did go through his costs with me, stating they were part of the job, but most had nothing to do with the repair but rather, costs of running a large corporation ......costs such as .....employee benefits ......travel time to and from the job ......office management ......payments on his fleet of trucks, my guess ......profit for the owner that the worker never receives. On the other hand, the costs of a self-employed serviceman would be parts and labor only, in his bill, usually $50-$100 an hour plus parts. So, bottom line, it was a simple job with cheap parts which I accepted ....trusting that it would require more time and cost than it actually did. My bad, I should have gotten another estimate, which means a second cost for a second estimate, but in this case I should have paid it. SINCE I KNEW THE REPAIR THAT WAS NEEDED, I SHOULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO BARGAIN A BIT LOWER WITH SUBSEQUENT CONTRACTORS... SOMETHING I WILL REMEMBER IN MY FUTURE CONTRACTED JOBS. My view, everything was legal, but the service of a large air conditioning company should be noticeably cheaper or else it offers no benefit to offset the cost. I saw no such benefit. Finally, I would encourage you to talk to the owner, he's pleasant and well spoken. He will have a lot to say.

I feared it was the compressor and that it would a long time to receive parts having to go through a warranty claim and with current supply chain issues. I called Matt at 805 Elite and he came that same day, inspected the system and found out it was just the capacitor! He also gave me the option of choosing the quality of replacement parts, most folks will toss in a cheap overseas made product, but Matt carries quality made in america parts which I gladly went with. You can immediately see the difference in the quality of the capacitors just from visually seeing the parts. My service experience was great, Matt explained my options and also provided advice on things to adjust and add to the system in the future, that I'll certainly be looking into. I'm an engineer by profession, and always appreciate people that truly knowledgeable on their craft. He'll be my go to for any HVAC related issues or concerns moving forward. Call with confidence.

DO NOT HIRE - SCAM ARTIST…read more My father had an absolutely terrible experience. This so-called "air conditioner service man" is nothing but a scammer. He was paid in full-- over $30,000--for seven AC units, and not a single one of them works. On top of that, he stole over $8,000 worth of equipment that was paid for and never delivered. He never even connected the units to the power panel, making them completely useless. To make things worse, he left a massive hole in the wall, creating a safety hazard that we now have to pay someone else to fix. This man took the money and ran. Absolutely unprofessional, unethical, and should not be in business. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be ripped off.

This is the third time we have used Austin Air and I can't say enough good about our experiences…read morewith them, not only in their diagnoses of the problems, but their quality of work, and their reasonable costs. The first time we used them over a year ago it appeared to be a fairly easy fix and Nick, the owner, was the one that actually came out. He cleared a line that kept the ac from turning on and filled the unit with several pounds of refrigerant, but only charged us for a small portion of it. This year our ac was working Intermittently and for some reason I ended up calling three different ac repair companies and everyone had different diagnoses of what was wrong, and their estimates ranged from $4,000 to $10,000. One even suggested we replace the whole system with a new different manufacture. The issues we were told could be the fan, compressor, or coil or line leaks. Because the unit is a Lennox we had been advised to use an authorized Lennox dealer and I unfortunately I did not contact Austin. The company that was a top rated Lennox dealer, who we considered for the repair, flatly told me they could not get Lennox parts. All pushed a yearly service package. I luckily found Nick's sticker on the ac unit and called him and he personally came out the next day. Nick advised me the fan was bad and that it would be covered under the Lennox ten year warranty, and I'd have to pay $725 for it until the refund. He suggested just replacing the fan and waiting until next season to see if anything else was an issue. Nick picked up the fan within two days and basically filled out the warranty refund form for me to get a refund. Nick and a helper came out a few days later and install the fan and the ac has been working great since. Today we had Austin Air run an extra duct to our kitchen, which gets cold in winter and hot in summer. Three workers came out and completed the Job within a few hours. Nick's estimate was very reasonable and the job was well done, with the workmen being courteous, careful to cover everything with plastic traps, and cleaned up well before leaving. I hope we do not have any ac issues next summer, but if we do, we will definitely use Austin Air Heating & Air Conditioning. Nick had given me an estimate for replacing the coil and it was very reasonable and well below what I had been quoted by the other companies. I wouldn't use Austin Air just because I think their quotes are reasonable, but because I think they are an honest business. I highly recommend them for honest and good work. Thank you Nick and Austin Air Heating & Air Conditioning.

He was able to come out the same day and service our system. He added Freon, installed a new nest thermostat for us, and added dampers to our ductwork to balance the airflow in the home. He was more than respectful to my elderly mother and followed all COVID safety procedures. Friendly and efficient, the work was done quickly - including running to the store for parts. I've had a lot of bad experiences in the past with HVAC contractors, I have to say, I will never go anywhere else again for service. Thanks so much Tom. The cold air feels wonderful and is perfectly balanced in the home now. His prices were VERY AFFORDABLE. I can't recommend Tom at Espa Air highly enough to you!

With a major heat wave on the way, I needed AC back up and running, and fast! Tom responded to my request for quote very promptly and was available to come out same day. I'm the kind that hovers over a technician's shoulder because I just love to know how everything works and Tom patiently explained lots of stuff about how AC units work...and why mine wasn't. He was able to procure the correct parts and fix my unit quickly and got me back up and running. I held off writing this review until my AC unit had weathered a couple heat waves to make sure that the work Tom had done held up. Everything is still running smoothly and I've stayed cool all summer. Thanks, Tom!
