Since my last review, I gave this business another shot and I am happy to report I've been thrilled with their services. Starting with customer service, I'm always greeted with a smile by someone who is eager to help. At other salons in the area, the staff can seem overwhelmed and exasperated by me even walking in the door. Not here, they are always happy to welcome me in. And even if there is a wait, they have always been up front about that and provided a time estimate. I usually ask for simpler services, like a traditional pedicure or a polish change with buff and shine. I've been really happy with the results. My favorite service here is the milk & honey pedicure. It's a fantastic way to really treat myself, and I enjoy the quality of the products used in that service. Recently I asked for my technician to replicate some nail art I had found with standard nail polish. Again, couldn't have been happier with the results and the polish lasted me 3 weeks (!) before there was visible chipping. A few months ago there was a small fire and they were closed while they used this as an opportunity to renovate. It was wonderful before but now, it's really luxe with lots of modern, thoughtful design choices. I know how important cleanliness is in a nail salon, so I just want to add that every tool I've seen technicians use on me have come out of a sanitized packet. Pedicure jet tubs always have a liner. The tables, chairs, and floors are always clean and free from dust and debris. Overall, I believe they maintain a high standard here. I would 100% recommend Venice Nails to any friend. I don't think I've ever wrote a review in my life, a good on or a bad one, but the nail tech guy was really rude. I think his name was Tommy. He was grunting, scowling, and chuckling at me the whole time. Im not sure why. He also knicked my finger pretty bad. I'm new to getting my nails done and i work around 65-70 hrs per week and was kind of hoping for a relaxing experience with my mom but he was yanking my hands around and it made me really uneasy and uncomfortable. Made me feel like I was doing something wrong the whole time and was not pleasant to go through I asked for French tips. You can see in the pic that the shape and execution is just overall ugly for what French tips are supposed to be. When I initially said why I wanted I kinda felt rushed over. From the stress of the day, and the end result, I almost cried. I just wanted a relaxing experience and did not get that. I ended up going to BeYou Nail Salon in Dallas by where I live and I had to pay them $40 to fix it. I would've rather paid $40 than go back in there. I told him what happened, it was minutes before closing & he still took me in. He felt really bad for me and when I thanked him he said "It's all I can hope for for you." And I thought that was the sweetest thing. I guess overall, trust your gut and find someone that doesn't hate their job. read more

I've come back to extend my review. Based on the reviews and responses alone I know I would never ever come back to this establishment. The owner clearly can't take criticism and he has a terrible attitude and smart ass mouth. Sir before you try to smart talk to someone make sure it makes sense, and like said he is full of GREED...a basic color French set is not extra work it's a basic set. This place is over priced and the workers aren't friendly at all. I would never recommend this place ever!! I stare at my nails and still can't believe I was ripped off like that and then had the nerve to ask For a tip lol you took your tip when you over charged me $25 dollars. Got nails done Wednesday evening, by Friday they were already lifting at the cuticle. My hair was getting caught in them. By Sunday 2 just popped off... I got tips with dip. Definitely not worth the money. I did call and they asked that I come back in, I'd rather just not waste my time. The staff was kind and the salon seemed clean. My colleague and I came in on a weekday after work, and they had availability right away for a mani pedi. I got up sold for a deluxe pedicure, which was $5? Dollars more, and I think it was worth it. They bring out a tray with three little dishes and two bags. The presentation was very nice. The dishes included a scrub and lotion. The bags that you put your feet into had this warm lotion that turned into a foam. Relaxing overall. My manicure was also done at the same time. A few things that I noted: - there are no prices posted anywhere. They had you a menu of services - my colleague was offered a water and i wasn't - my colleague that got the same pedicure only started a little before me and finished after me. I'm not sure if my techs just rushed it - my colleague's lady came back with some quick drying spray that I wasn't offered All in all, that's to say the service will be dependent on who you get. The reason why this is still a 4 star is because I chipped a nail a day after I got them done. I went back the day after that (2 days later), and they fixed it for me and even added a top coat on all nails (per a request). I simply gave the gentleman a tip. read more

I've been coming here for over three years now and they never disappoint. I had a go to person up until 3 months ago at this salon and when she left I felt a bit bereft. I tried another salon closer to my work that offered a discount and after one time I knew EXACTLY why I come here and will continue to come here. The salon owner is extremely talented and is able to do fancy designs like you see all over Instagram: if that's your vibe I'd go to him. The rest of his team is just as talented but I'd like to shout out Peter in particular. I'm a long time wearer of square short French tip but recently I have been intro neutrals and plain. Thanks to Peter, who got me to try out a longer nail with my basic now I'm trying this stiletto look that I'm really into. He's meticulous, perfectionist that double checks his work and is mild mannered that truly made this introvert feel comfortable. Lady who had pedi done on chair nearest to water fountain statue on 4/27 @ 4:30pm and asked to sit at drying station instead of waiting forever to air dry at the pedicure chair: the girl doing my full set said you should go to "Top 5 nail" instead (I'm assuming because of your request to move to the drying station). You must of gotten it fixed or something because she said something about nail fix there instead too. She repeatedly said it among the staff working there & you had NO CLUE. Super uncomfortable environment. So rude. Shi**y nail job, bad vibes. This place was the worst experience. Didn't even bother to clean under my nails and left them stuck to my skin. Also cut my thumb deeply after she got acrylic stuck to it and as she peeled it off it tore skin so she snipped this chunk out of my thumb and Her excuse was I had dry skin....yeah no. Pics attached. Venice is awesome! I have been coming here for 3 years now and its truly amazing. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. They can help you with a variety of different options including different colors, types of nails, and services. When they shut down for repairs I was devastated, but now they are back!!! Nicki and Peter are both phenomenal and I love going to see them! 10/10 recommend. This place has been horrible the 4 out of 5 times I've gone. Every time I've gone in I have to wait AT LEAST 15 minutes to be seen, and they don't inform you of a wait time. This last time was the last straw for me: I called hours before to make an appointment for 2 pedicures, and 2 nexgen's (not manicures, just the powder). We arrived and had to sit in the back for 20 minutes before we began to be helped. The water my feet had been soaking in were cold by the time someone actually came over. My pedicure ended up turning out ok (after I had to have the tech come back because there was a lump under the polish that she wasn't planning on fixing), but my nails were a hot mess. At that point I had been there for an hour and a half so I didn't want to spend anymore time there. Kim did a terrible job on my nails, cut my cuticles in multiple places and didn't even completely dip my nails. I asked what I needed to do to actually get seen on time there, and mentioned how poor the quality was when Tan came in and was an absolute dick. He started by saying, "you need to listen, and let me tell you how it is here." At that point I had seen and heard enough to know that they 1) don't care about the quality of their work 2) don't take criticism well, and 3) could care less about an unhappy, PAYING customer They can tell someone else "how it is", I'll take my service elsewhere. read more

As a loyal customer, I had developed a level of trust in the salon and Tan, who personally did my nails on this occasion. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I noticed that my acrylic was already cracking the next day. 3 of my nails fell off within the next day. I ask the technician to cut my toe nails as short as possible and they left them SO long. They didn't really work on my calluses and they really didn't know how to do a proper pedicure. When they brought the paraffin to put my feet inside the lady expected me to put it right in there without cooling it first. The other technician had to tell her to cool it first agains my legs before asking me to put the feet in the hot paraffin. Very very bad services. So I have actually been to Venice Nails 3 times now. Since moving to the North Dallas area, this has become my new go to nail salon! Everyone is always very polite and I never have to wait long, if at all. I get a kick out of watching Kitchen Nightmares and the music is always on point. I feel like I cannot do these nails justice with photos but Leydi MADE my day! I am a habitual nail biter, and came in with not a whole lot for her to work with. Typically I would leave a good Google or yelp review, but right now I am not pleased. The customer service was great... But on Sunday I got an acrylic set with designs. By Monday night my pinky nail fell off then today which is Wednesday my index finger nail popped off. I'm not rough on my hands and typically when I get my nails done they last me for two weeks at the top. I haven't had this issue and I am just upset with the quality of work. Love the way they do nails but sometimes they can be very rude and pushy. I hate being rushed. As soon as you come in, they expect you to pick a color immediately and then when you don't, they seem upset with you because your "taking to long" When I come to the nail shop, I expect to be pampered and not rushed. Today I came here to get a pedicure I have been coming here for a couple years now but today was by far the worst service ever when I arrived I informed the owner that I needed 2 pedicures they told us to pick out our colors and we did they then took us to sit and place our feet in water they only had one person for service but they did not tell me that they start on my daughter and I'm waiting at that point my feet had been in water for 10 min and still no one to do my service I asked when some one would start and then the owner comes and tells me I'm being impatient that when I walked in I should of mentioned I needed a rapid service when at no time did I say I was in a hurry I just told home they need to be more considerate of peoples time and then comes to argue with me that I'm over reacting that I have only been in the shop for 5 mins when that's a LIE all I have to say Never will I bring my service here again customer service is important but here they do NOT care about that and when you have a concern the Owner will laugh at you that shows how much they care about the customer. read more

I needed​ a new nail place close to home. The first​ time I visited I got my nails done by a lady then was finished off by Tan, the owner. They were very pretty but SUPER overpriced. I was not aware of the price point until​ I was checking out. Very inconsiderate of them not explaining​ that information to​ the newcomers​. Very quick service but hated the ridiculous price. Words cannot describe how ugly my nails were the second go round. Received​ service from "Sexy Kevin". He was very nice but EXTREMELY slow. Kevin took over two hours on my nails for a hot mess​ overpriced​ set. Understand he might be a perfectionist but good lord, no props for his work ​that bad. I showed him a picture, received​ a complete​ disaster. He was really​ proud of his disaster​ too. Returned an hour or so later, comforted the owner and Kevin to take that mess off. Tan could care less. Kevin took it off. No apologies. No refund. I will​ not be returning. Two stars because they constantly play The Office on Netflix. read more
