I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested. He'll probably respond to this and be dismissive again, but those are my two cents. He has a nice assistant. I won't pretend it's bad quality. Still three stars.

The job she did was incredible. You can't even tell the difference. Levi's "Short" inseams are really "Regular" size inseams. Clearly she had to remove a good three inches of length to each pant leg. Her prices are great, too. I plan on returning with my other denim jeans to ensure she shortens those, too! The owner, Neewin, does beautiful, meticulous work, and is a joy to deal with. He is respectful, gracious, and puts the exact same care into doing alterations on an inexpensive casual summer skirt as a very expensive designer suit. The tidy, charming shop on Ventura Blvd has a lovely old-world tailoring feel to it, but the prices are very reasonable, and the turn around time has been fantastic. While he did a good job, each skirt was $60 to shorten each skirt a few inches, AND it was done by machine. Both he and Heather were very nice, but I thought at the time that was excessive. I didn't do my research and check other alternatives in the area. $60 to shorten each a couple of inches on the machine, maybe 15 minutes maximum....(1 picture of hem from the underside, it's going vertical 4 some reason, the other one what u can see from the outside, going horizontal....) The machine did do a good job, but $120 for 2 skirts on a machine is excessive.... So after I read Neewin's response, I brought in another garment to hem and get taken in. He couldn't have bn more cordial about it, and, surprised me by having it ready the very next day, instead of 5 days later. Good business. I will definitely be bringing my alterations back to him.

Doing research to find a good place, I came across High Society and remembered my father had some great suits made for him there. Made an appointment and went in with my sons. Mr. Lim and Brandon were very welcoming and professional and clearly knew what needed to be done. The store is beautiful as well with a lot of gorgeous pieces on display. Mr. Lim did a bunch of measurements and said they would be ready in a week. We just picked the suits up and they look amazing! So many small details done right completely changes how the suits look. Sadly, most of the items were damaged, including very simple tasks such as shortening T-shirts -- which were also done poorly. What made the experience worse was the lack of accountability: no apology, no professionalism, and an overall rude attitude from both the tailor and the staff. The focus seemed purely financial, with no respect for the client or the garments. The team appears inexperienced, lacking both the technical skills and the understanding that tailoring and design are crafts that require taste, care, and respectful communication -- not just tools and prices. I strongly do not recommend bringing valuable pieces here for alterations, and I would not advise learning or training with them either. Design is an art, and customer service is part of that art -- unfortunately, both are missing here.

It's on the lower floor of a two story strip mall right in the prime Tujunga area odd moorpark. Bonus is you can free park in their lot! The owner doesn't speak the best English. But we got along just fine and you can tell he is a real pro. There is a sign that indicates a 4% charge for credit or debit. I get it. It's a small business being hosed by the credit card companies. So bring cash if you want to save a little $$$. I hope this business grows and excels. It's nice to have a local old tailor that's fast and affordable nearby.
