My favorite suit, shirt, and tie custom made by Rocky
    Eugene B.

I can't say enough about Rocky!!! This man makes GREAT custom clothes and is one of a kind. I have been going to him for about 16 years now and will never wear a store bought suit or dress shirt ever again. Look him up when he comes to your town because you will not be

    Kristen Z.

My friend Sylvia talked me into getting fitted for custom suits. For context, this is extremely out of character for me. I buy my suits from Banana Republic Factory Outlet and Nordstrom's Rack. They don't fit off the rack because I have a long torso and stubby legs so I usually have to get the pants hemmed at the cleaners. I'd say all in, the most I have spent is a few hundred bucks on a suit. I scoffed at the idea of custom suits because I'm doing just fine off the rack. Yes, the pants are loose in the waist and a smidge tight in the thighs, but I endure this because it's always been my plight. Sylvia convinced me that custom suits would be life-changing. I love and trust my friend Sylvia on most matters -- but this was not one of them. I'm in my fiftieth year and most of my life altering (see what I did there) moments are behind me. Sylvia and I were in LA together speaking at a conference and it just so happens her suit designer is in the LA area. So I acquiesced and went for a fitting at Rocky's Custom Clothes. First of all, I had absolutely no concept of the decisions I would have to make during this fitting. How do you like your collar style? What buttons would you like? How do you prefer the cut of your suit? Jacket length? Jacket style? Pant style? The list goes on but I'm exhausted typing it. After I picked out the foundational basics, we moved on to colors and patterns. Sapna (the designer) brought out books and books of fabrics and I had to choose the suit patterns, liners, and the trim for my shirts. This is not for the faint of heart. I'm pretty decisive but there are thousands of patterns and colors and at one point, I walked away and stress ate 7 toffee candies from the bowl in the shop. Fortunately, Sapna is an expert because she seamlessly (see what I did there) narrowed down my choices to a few so I wasn't overwhelmed. Her picks were perfectly coordinated. I settled on 3 suits, a blazer, and a pair of pants to match the blazer (for a more casual vibe). I flew back to LA to for the final fitting and made sure I told everyone that I was flying to LA for my custom suit fitting because that made me sound like a baller. Or a douchebag. Either way, I literally flew to LA for my custom suit fitting (squeezed in one more for effect.) When I walked into Rocky's, Sapna had one of my suits ready for me. It was like opening a present on Christmas morning because I couldn't recall what patterns we settled on during the original fitting because I was too exhausted from making decisions and eating toffee to take pictures. When I saw my suit, it was instant love. All the fabrics, linings, and trim came together in one glorious garment. I tried it on and it fit like slippery butter. All the years I fit into my suits were replaced by the suits fitting me. There is a big difference in that sentence. It's like fitting in versus belonging. Fitting in requires you to adapt while belonging is being perfectly you. I opened the jacket to see my very own name embroidered in the lining and I almost cried. The only downside to this is that I will probably stop strangers and open my suit coat to show them my name stitched in the lining. If you are on the receiving end of this, please don't press charges. Sylvia was right. Getting custom suits was life-changing -- but not because they fit great or because they are cool. They do and they are. Rather, it's about worthiness. I feel genuinely worthy of wearing a suit that makes me feel like I own the stage of my life. Thank you Sapna and Rocky's.

Front view of my new Rocky's suit.

If you are in need of any type of suit, for work, a wedding, or just to have one, go to Rocky's. The staff is extremely well informed on proper fit, color, and fabrics. Think of a custom suit as an investment. You'll have a Rocky's suit for several years and it is going to look fantastic. I cannot emphasize the fit enough- if you are someone (especially ladies!) who has run out of a department store in a cloud of frustration because nothing fit or was not cut right for you, just GO get a custom garment. It takes a little longer and the cost is not too much more than would spend in a store. You will look and feel amazing.

Rocky always takes care of me. I been with Rocky since 2005. I can tell Rocky surprise me and he always comes up with something that everyone talks about. He made me a dinner jacket, with such detail, for my trip to Cabo, that was pure FIRE . THANKS ROCKY

We stopped by after work so the rush hour was a bit crazy but made it in time before they closed! We had to loop around since they don't have a designated parking lot and all the street parking was basically full. Managed to find a spot about a block away and not bad of a walk at all. We were mainly here for the Baldur's Gate 3 blind bags for the beautiful oversized d20's but checked out all the other cool stuff they have here! I believe the owner is Mandie and she was super sweet and had great energy when my bf and I dropped by! We managed to pull a Rare (Mizora) and a Rare (Halsin) which was really cool from just buying two packs. They have other cool merch like pokemon, final fantasy, dnd, and even some anime stuff. Highly recommend checking this shop out and supporting local businesses! Great place to buy a gift for anyone. Prices are a bit more than retail but nothing too crazy. Looks like they also have events like card games and art showcases. I know they recently had a Baldur's gate 3 signing which is amazing! Looking forward to dropping by again! IG: @ammysalamii

I'm proud to report that GeekyGlamorous has something for every geek and gamer in your life! The beautiful blue corner store stood out on this specific stretch of shops on Burbank Blvd. I was there for one of their Christmas deals: a mug, pair of socks, and candy gift set all wrapped up with a gift tag for $25! Such a great value, I bought way more than one. Inside you are greeted by toys, clothes, trinkets, tchotchkes, knicknacks, baubles, stickers, and doodads themed from your favorite anime, comics, and video games. Even GeekyGlamorous-branded pins, stickers, necklaces, and bracelets. There's also blind box figures, posters, calendars... Some items are pre-owned, most are new from reputable vendors like BioWorld who specialize in licensed merch. Although this is not the biggest space, but the layout is really well-thought out and makes the store feel large. Mrs. GeekyGlamorous, the store owner, was there when I visited. She is a saint to entertain all of my annoying questions and is super friendly and personable. At no point did I feel pressured or like I was being sold something. I dug her aesthetic choices like the table comprised of Super Famicon game cartridges. Fun Fact: Super Famicon cartridges are cheaper than SNES cartridges... or the table where the POS system is has loads of memorabilia and ephemera under the glass. There will be rotating pop-up shops monthly-- right now for instance in December '24 there's a setup from Dispel Dice. There will also be community events like game nights held at the shop, too. I'm stoked for this new store, it's like an indie Expo or Comic Con!

I have done several reviews for this mall and few of its stores in the past. Also, the entire review of the mall. Hands down one of the best malls near my area. Always easy to navigate, great customer service by everyone that I have encountered with past or/and present. Needed couple of sandals for Spring/Summer time. Walked in yesterday around 3pm in to Women's department on the 1st floor and was browsing all the selections that captured my attention. The minute I grabbed this one sandal, an employee approached me and wanted to know if that was the right size. I told him no, and he brought me the right size for these beautiful, comfortable sandals. He brought up that if I got 2 pairs I would save almost $9.00. Each one was $39.99 plus tax. Big savings. Tried size 6 on and it just hugged my foot and felt right. Bought both pairs (black & white) and moved on to my next journey to find a small, compact blender, that you can carry with you. Walked into the appliance department and the blender found me. $40. (Blendjet) Grabbed it along with couple of snacks and on my way back to the 1st floor, I remembered that I needed Dual Finish powder by Lancome. I was glad that I found the right one that compliments my skin tone and was on sale for $19.99. Sales associate gave me the product and I also got a cookie jar from this cute store in the mall. It was hard to pass by and not buy that. Mall was clean, prices for my purchases were very reasonably priced, they had a lot of items of every kind on SALE and walked out feeling very HAPPY!! As we all know most malls are shared with many different businesses, lots of parking, and has a food court and clean restrooms. It's a 3 story mall. I tried, but can't help being extra DETAILED & PRECISE with my reviews. :-)
