We took our hard earned money to the Thai place down the street where the service, food, and appreciation for the customer was top notch. We spent £120 on a fantastic dinner with them instead. Your loss, grump lady!

The restaurant is vibrantly decorated, take a moment to look at all the photos in the frames on the wall as there are some lovely pictures. The menu is only a page long, but the saying 'it's quality, not quantity, that counts' certainly rings true for this place. Lolita kept reiterating that the food was home made (unlike many of the other local places nearby apparently) and she carefully guided us through the menu making suggestions as she went. We ordered 5 tapas dishes and each one was delicious, especially the MASSIVE langousites in lemon and oil (which were only £6 for 5!). AND, the house red wine was the best house red I've ever had. The couple who run it were charming and friendly, with just the right amount of attention you want during dinner. At the time of visiting, they were only accepting cash, but they said they were looking into possibly taking cards sometime soon. There's a cash machine nearby if you get caught short. This place has only been open for 8 months, but if our experience was anything to go by it's a very promising beginning and I wish them the best of luck, I know I'd go back if I'm ever in Bournemouth again!

What I found from their Cargo location in Bristol's Wapping Wharf was a slightly pricey, though not overpriced, but delicious meal with incredible mains and sides. If you want to skip the long form review, its good and you should definitely go. First, our mains. I chose the *KFC Chicken Katsu Curry and my wife picked the Ground Pork Tantanmen ramen. Part of the reason we had chosen the Cargo location was my wife wanting a good soup and the Tantanmen fit the bill. We barely got it in the picture it was so good. The stock was a bit creamy and had that good spice/heat that sits in the back of the throat. The noodles and pork were delicious and cooked perfectly. The *KFC (for Korean Fried Chicken) Katsu Curry was great, the curry sauce being separate was ideal, and the chicken was juicy and tender without being greasy. Both dishes were really well portioned for a mains price. The sides were plentiful and also well priced with umami ribs, toasted edamame, grilled pak choy, charshu pork belly, and a seasoned egg. The umami ribs were the priciest but were delicious and fall off the bone good. Would have liked a little more meat on them but great either way. The charshu pork belly was incredible, tender and a savory sweet. The toasted edamame really surprised as did the grilled pak choy, though I preferred the edamame. My wife enjoyed the egg but admitted it would have been better added to the ramen. Delicious food that will definitely bring us back for more.

The weather was fiiiiine, and the food finer. The crispy duck rice noodle salad was stunning - vibrant orange zinged through rich, decadently fatty meat. There was a nice hint of spice and the veg was fresh and crunchy. The baos - £4.25 each - were like miniature fluffy pillows. The pick of the two I had was ox cheek, daikon and bulgogi. The Korean fried chicken Bao, was delish and had a serious kick from the fiery kimchi! Love the community feel of CARGO and this is a great addition to the burgeoning Brizzle foodie scene...
