The food was gourmet but not entirely to my taste. The fish cake my father had was really good as well as the chocolate brownie/cake dessert my mum had was exquisite. I had pea and ham soup with bread and blue cheese which was excellent. Similar to my mother's own recipe and given piquancy with the blue cheese. This was followed by buck breast with a star anise jus and home made chips and a portobello mushroom. The service was also excellent, if I'm honest we kept the staff waiting far too long after dinner and yet there was no hint that they wanted us to move on. All in all an outstanding experience. Not cheap but not expensive, well presented with courteous and friendly staff. I'd highly recommend it.

I had the falafel and bean salad, which was very tasty. The staff here is really super friendly and overall it's just a very efficient place. (The word efficient came to mind and I mean that in a very positive way...everything worked here.)
