My wife and I decided to stop in for a rare daytime date without the kids. The waitress was great. She was nice and personable. My wife ordered the Club sandwich. It was served in Texas toast. Plenty of meat, and very good. I ordered the Christo. The flavor was good. If I had to make one complaint on the sandwiches, it would be the bread. Texas toast was just way too thick. Otherwise, everything was delicious. For the desert, we opted for the blondie brownie. The brownie was ok, but the crème almost had an off flavor. I have tried the Venetian at least five times. I just don't think I can give it another go. The service is absolutely awful to non-existent. This includes just being seated. i went there for lunch today with some of my coworkers , at 1:10 min had not received my food .So i had the server to box the food up . when I got back to work and opened my food Ithey had put like 4-5 fries in the box . Fun atmosphere on a Saturday night. Great service from Lauren! Tried a featured drink: like an old fashioned but had a lot of lemonade. Fun twist. My burger was excellent! Cooked to perfection. Fries came out crispy & hot. The appetizer crab cakes looked great & Mac & cheese. The homemade "featured" St. Patrick's Day chocolate cake was a winner! The chef even came to our table. What a gem of a fun place. Who knew? In Milton, WV! It was "Almost Heaven". When the weather is warm the outside patio & fire pit area looks fun too. Highly recommend. read more

Why can't I rate it a zero star??? I recently has a family member use this venue for their wedding. It was HORRIBLE! The "wedding coordinator", Bridget (heads up I hear she is also the VP of the venue so good luck reporting her for issues) was extremely rude, made the bride cry and was VERY disorganized. I witnessed her get in the brides face over something the bride had zero control over!! The bride was crying so hard that the photographer had to stop taking pictures to allow the brides' makeup to be redone. This resulted in a loss of time for all the pictures the bride wanted done (daylight restriction). The ceremony was nice. However, not enough chairs were placed out for guests which resulted in several standing for the ceremony. Thankfully the service was short. The reception was the best part of the day only because the DJ was so great! He went above and beyond to maker sure to fulfill all music requests. The wedding coordinator failed to reserve tables for the wedding party which resulted in seating issues due to their late arrival to the reception. She did use those brain cells to at least set a table for the bride and groom so there is that I guess. The cake...HORRIBLE! It was not the cake the bride requested. How can she prove this you ask??? It had nuts in it and the BRIDE IS ALLERGIC TO NUTS!!!!! Thankfully she realized it before she ate more than what the groom fed her. Also, she didn't request it to have any resemblance to the Leaning Tower of Pisa however the pictures show otherwise (see my google review for picture). Overall the night was saved by the DJ! The bride and groom at least had fun dancing the night away. All in all.....hire the DJ but do NOT use the venue, coordinator or the baker!!! read more

Thanks so much for the anniversary dinner suggestions we landed on The Venetian Restaurant in Milton WV. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us. We had the Buffalo chicken fries and the Bavarian dip with pretzels for appetizers. I had the fried chicken with baked potato and Mac n cheese. He had the same and added crab cakes and green beans. Those were the biggest baked potatoes I have ever seen! The blackberry lemonade and blackberry sweet tea were amazing! Strawberry shortcake and Bourbon butter cake to end a perfect meal. Our server was super sweet and kept things flowing perfectly even though they were busy. Definitely recommend giving it a try. The blackberry lemonade was to die for and they had the "good" ice which really set it off. No complaints it was good all around read more

We went Saturday, February 4 for my birthday dinner. Our waitress kept disappearing. We ordered the signature old fashioned and it was watered down. We had to ask for rolls when other table received theirs immediately. The rolls were burnt and the butter was frozen. We decided to order a soup and then share a meal. We ordered the NY strip medium with side order of wild rice, the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese and steamed broccoli. The steak was rare and fatty. It was just laying on top of the rice which seemed odd because the rice was a side. The macaroni and cheese was in a small cup and dry. All the sauce was in the bottom of the cup. It looked like it was yesterdays Mac and cheese and then just heated in the microwave. We had to ask for an additional plate. The waitress never checked on us or asked how our food was. She never refilled our water. We couldn't wait to get the check and get out of there. We don't like to complain but I feel the public needs to be aware of their service and servers before spending the money. I won't be returning to this restaurant. As for the appearance it was pretty plain in decor but it was clean. read more

Service is almost guaranteed to be slow every single time. I enjoy the food but end up waiting so long it ruins the whole experience. Good luck ordering food from the Venetian pub, often times they don't even check the incoming orders, so when you come in to pick up you'll sit for another 20 minutes while they scramble to make the food that was scheduled to be done at a certain time. Living three minutes from this place I wanted to love it so much but I found myself disappointed. The venue is beautiful. Comfortable seating. Was a little confused on exactly which building to go to but was quickly greeted by a staff member. Our service was top notch. The live music was nice and something different for us. We really enjoyed it. Ok the food..... we ordered the pretzel appetizer, smothered chicken, crème brûlée and it was delicious. My disappointment came with the sirloin, it was tough, wasn't seasoned or cooked to my liking. Even then it wasn't as bad as the salmon. The salmon was over cooked, it was so dry and rubbery, and at 31 dollars market cost, I expected it to at least be eatable. Honestly it was probably the worst salmon we've ever had. I hate to be so harsh but if you're charging that much for a dish, you should at least know how to prepare the main course. If it's based solely on service and venue I would recommend but if you're hungry, I'd steer clear of this place. read more

First time here. 2 bartenders, a hostess, and 3 servers walking past our table and waited 10-15 minutes. Not greeted. No drinks. Finally stopped a server who said he would find our server but then proceeded to go to another table who had just been sat and tale their order. Won't be back. Would not recommend. read more

I've been a regular at the Venetian Pub since their post C-19 reopening. A little apprehensive at first because I hadn't heard anything about the place. My first experience was a dinner with my wife. We were pleasantly surprised at the menu selection which was much larger than expected for a pub. Of course they have the lighter fare expected of a bar/pub, sandwiches, wings and such. However their menu also included everything from seafood to pasta to steak. I had a very well prepared chicken dish that evening while my wife had the pasta. Both meals were very tasty and well proportioned. The young women and men of the wait staff are great. They're friendly and helpful. If you want it your way, they'll see that you get it your way. The pub has both outdoor and in door seating options. My wife really enjoys the outdoor patio. It's large brick oven fire place, shade, and stone finish give it a unique and comfortable feel unlike anything I've experience in the area. Recently, I started frequenting the pub for its pub ness. The have modest but good selection of local microbrews on tap and the standard selection of bottled beers. Their wine selection is more than sufficient for a pub and I am told may grow deeper with the impending opening of their accompanying fine dining restaurant. Favorites at the pub: Banging shrimp, sirloin, and bourbon whiskey flights(!) If you're in the area, you need to stop in. Thursday nights are usually very busy but I've never really had to wait. read more

I was looking forward to eating at the Venetian and ordered a Reuben at the bar. I was very disappointed. Ingredients were good but the execution was horrible. A soggy chewy sandwich. Surprised it left the kitchen. It is obvious that they don't care and don't love their jobs. For a place that aspires to be Greenbriar quality they don't have a clue and are out of their lead. Enjoyed an evening on the patio with friends to help celebrate a birthday. Our waiter Josh was amazing, he was so personable and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. He continuously had cold beers coming to our table and asking if we needed anything. The atmosphere was so quaint and quiet. The porch was lit with soft, yellow strung lights around what use to be a stable turned pub. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the 6 oz filet paired with a baked sweet potato and grilled asparagus. My husband had a ribeye with a salad and baked potato. read more

My daughter in law and son made reservations for the Mother's Day Dinner - Delayed that was today, June 12. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food delicious. It was an all you could eat with French Toast, Egg snd Spinach Quiche, Ham, Green Beans, Broccoli Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Salad (that was absolutely delicious), buttery rolls, and several desserts. You could chose one or all and it was one of the best meals I've eaten. The ham was moist, mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly and so creamy. Love this local pub. Whenever we have guests, we bring them to The Venetian. Cozy, casual atmosphere. Friendly staff. Variety of drinks to choose from (bourbon, wine, beer, cocktails) and good food. Highly recommend the pizzas or salad. In Spring and Fall, when temperatures are more mild, we love sitting on the patio. It is without a doubt our favorite restaurant in Milton! read more

I recently tried to book an event at the Venetian Estate despite having heard negative feedback from others. The director of sales seemed accommodating at first and sent information. However, I could never get her on the telephone. She had texted me and emailed but never phoned. I left text messages which were left on read, emails and voice mail messages. After waiting for 3 days for her response on an event that needed to be booked ASAP I sent her a text that was also ignored letting her know we would be looking for another venue. Lucky for me to find this out now with this event before I begin looking for a wedding venue for my daughter! read more

This was my first time and most likely my last time visiting. Had a birthday dinner for my mom only had a party of 9 we were the only table in the entire place. The service was terrible and one of the waitresses was very obviously on something and clearly should not have been working and if we asked for refills or to check on our food she completely ignored us and walked passed us as if we weren't there. Then when she attempted to clear plates off the table she dropped food down my husbands back and had no clue what she had done. It took over an hour to get our food and by the time it was on the table it was cold, one person in my party didn't get her food until after the rest of us were already finished eating. I could completely understand things taking long if they were busy but we were the only people in the place so the slow service was unacceptable. We voiced not being happy with our food and the service and not one manager of any type came to speak with us. The garden setting is whimsical and charming. The appetizers were good the mains were average. Biggest issue for us was the waiter. We repeatedly went without drinks, almost an hour delay for all food, items served incorrectly per our special requests. Due to this one of our party received her meal long after the rest of us had finished ours. He was unaware of specials and items they were out of and became argumentative with us when we asked questions. The shining light was the female bartender working that evening (6/27). At one point I had to go to the bar and get drinks for our table due to the waiter disappearing. While making our cocktails she asked if there was an issue and I explained we had not seen our waiter for some time. She kindly said she would add our drinks to the tables bill, then she came out several times to check on us and clear our plates as they had been sitting on our table for a very long time. We paid our tabs and were about to leave when the bartender brought a manager out to speak with us. She was very kind and explained to us that this particular waiter was the one the owners always requested which was unimaginable to us. Perhaps he had a bad day but his lack of service and poor attitude has made us question whether or not we will return for a second visit. The end result was that the bartender received a tip three times what we left the waiter. Poor first impression. read more
