This is my 2nd review. I did a review two weeks when my wife and I first went out to dinner at the Cattlemen's Roadhouse. It was great! Tonight, my wife and I went to the Cattlemen's Roadhouse again! Another fantastic meal. Tony waited on us and the service was top notch. The food was cooked perfect! My wife is picky and doesn't pass out compliments that often but she gave cudos to Tony. Family had dinner there on Sunday for my Mom's birthday. Restaurant was freezing for my mother. Environment seemed very empty which for a Sunday didnt really give off good vibes. I dont remember our server's name but he was ok. Food was really good but for not being busy took a very long time. The reason I gave low stars was that we had to send the check back several times because the server was charging us extra for things that are included in the meals. If I could only rate the bread served before the meal, this review would be a solid five stars. Unfortunately, my steak was terrible and my server was, let's just say, unenthused. I ordered the filet. It's 8oz and only $30, so I should've been suspicious. I have never in my life been so disappointed. I ordered it medium rare, and it was cooked to the right temperature. That was a plus. But it was a horrible cut of meat. I'm not even sure that it was a filet. Filet mignon is supposed to melt in your mouth. It took me thirty seconds to chew my first bite. It was terrible. Finally, my server was so blah. She wasn't unfriendly, she just had zero personality. (Maybe she was off kilter because there was literally no one else there. I assume there were cooks, but who knows? In fact, I've never been to a restaurant that was that empty during operating hours.) Normally, I'm a generous tipper. But this time she only got the requisite 15%. For the money, it's not worth ordering the filet. My friends got NY strips and had no complaints. Next time, if there's one, I'll order sides. read more

If you're in the area and looking for a satisfying meal, The Cattlemen's Roadhouse is well worth a visit, just keep an eye out for the signage! Located about half a mile from the Sleep Inn, the lack of a prominent sign led to a bit of confusion at first. We initially drove past, mistaking the building (with its "FRIDAYS TO GO" sign) for something else, only to later realize that Cattlemen's had recently taken over the old Fridays location. Temporary signage would help future diners. Once inside, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and quickly shown to our table. Our server, Raiyah, arrived right away, she was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer our questions about the menu. She took our drink, appetizer, and main course orders together, and soon brought out the drinks and a basket of warm rolls with delicious cinnamon butter. The food came out quickly, perhaps a bit too quickly, as the appetizer, salads, and main courses all arrived at once, leaving our small table quite crowded. This did detract somewhat from the dining experience. On the bright side, the food was excellent. The hush puppies were perfectly fried with a crispy exterior and tender center, served alongside that irresistible cinnamon butter. My side salad with blue cheese dressing was creamy and mild, different from the chunkier version I'm used to, but still enjoyable. For my main course, I ordered the Bourbon Barrel Sirloin steak (8 oz), glazed in bourbon sauce and topped with sautéed mushrooms for a small extra charge. It was cooked exactly medium rare, as requested. My wife opted for the Garden Salad with Thousand Island dressing, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, the potato soup that was supposed to accompany her salad was unavailable that night. All in all, The Cattlemen's Roadhouse impressed with its friendly service and well-prepared dishes. While the simultaneous delivery of all courses, running out of sides and the signage confusion were minor drawbacks, the positives outweighed the negatives. Next year on our visit I hope to be able to give it a higher rating. read more

First, the steak was good. The second loaded baked potato that came out was good, not burnt like the first one. The first batch of rolls were burnt. To say we were disappointed for driving an hour out of our way is the least I can say. The menu shows salad bar. The reason I wanted to go. Very disappointing to get there and be told that it's the restaurant in Kentucky, not this one. Our waiter was attentive, but not friendly. The restaurant was decorated nicely and clean. Also, make sure the price being charged matches the price on the menu. I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will we be returning to this specific location. read more

I had a small steak and onion rings. The steak was cooked correctly and it was juicy. Waiter helpful, and pretty quick we didn't have to wait to have drinks filled or anything. He didn't really do a lot of decorations, but it was nice inside and it was clean read more

Only eat here if you want to sit and wait on your food for hours. Not even crowded and an insanely long wait on food.

Slow start as far as service goes. Appeared to be confusion between hostess and staff as to who was up next to serve. Martin finally got the nod and did a good job. Tried the hush puppies w/cinnamon butter. Came out quickly - fresh and hot. House rolls are very good. We each got burgers that were prepared as requested and delivered in a reasonable time. Also ordered wings - bone in not available at this time so ordered boneless. Good size portion - hot and fresh All in all good experience. read more

Have eaten here six times and never had a bad meal. Meals have been as advertised. Service has been good too. The only thing I have been disappointed with is the Outlaw Onion. Sort of a copy of the Bloomin Onion at Outback. read more

My family decided to give them a try with low expectations after hearing other reviews. As soon as we were seated we knew not to expect much. The waitress had the personality of a rock and seemed like she was lost a lot when serving her tables. The bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in days. The prices were a lot higher than we had hoped considering the steak ounce options were severely limited, the only size in sirloin was 8 oz for $20. Our salads were served on hot saucer plates and were actually hotter than our entrees. We ordered 2 meatloafs that were subpar, were colder than the mashed potatoes and 1 was not plated visually pleasing. I would definitely not go again. read more

Food was delicious- fried green tomatoes and shrimp appetizers were fresh and had great sauces. I had the cattlemen's chicken - peppercorn sauce is different than other areas typical sauce for chicken - so yummy. Green beans were perfection! Husband had cod fish and loved it! Waitress was pleasant, prompt with service and not overbearing!! Prices were fair especially since food was so good and service was great. Building was clearly repurposed but looks are deceiving. The restaurant temperature was cold. Our server was very nice and attentive, asking several times if we needed anything. I ordered the beef tips medium rare, but they came out medium and they forgot the sauce, so I sent them back. The second time around the beef tips were a lot better and they had sauce over it. We came in around 5:30 and they were already out of sweet potato so I asked for the baked potato, which was good. However, the green beans were really salty. They have a limited drink menu, but they were able to make a Rum & Coke. read more

So we held off eating here till thing things ironed out . Reading all the negative reviews on Google . This evening the family went out for diner giving cattlemen's a try , with low expectations. They were able to quickly seat us . The server was pleasant and did a wonderful job. Was a slight screw up on the check , by when it's being split on four tickets I kinda expect it. Food was very good . Rip Ribeye was cooked to my liking , a nice blur rare . Side items cole slaw , green beans , mac cheese were all good . I'd return was very pleased . read more

I got the country fried steak, baked potato and side salad. Bread and salad was delicious. Steak was good but the leftover,warmed up baked potato was absolutely terrible. My husband's meatloaf had way too much filler in it. Our waitress was very good and she kept apologizing. The manager took the baked potato off our bill and when I told her I knew the potato was leftover she never denied it. We got there around 11:45 so there was no excuse for the potato to look and taste as bad as it did. read more
