This review has been more than two years in the making and is long overdue. I was first referred to Velocity Factor from a friend in 2010 when I moved to Boca Raton to attend graduate school at FAU. I had some unfortunate cosmetic damage to my front bumper, side skirts, and passenger side rear door. I love my car as I consider it an extension of myself, so I made sure my friend knew I would not let just any body shop or mechanic handle the vehicle. He assured me Felipe (owner) was the best in the business and need not worry. Sure enough, he was right. My first experience with Velocity Factor was beyond incredible. Being raised in West Virginia has jaded me in terms of exposure to genuine benevolence and true hospitality. Such qualities can be difficult to find in South Florida, but through detailed conversations with Felipe and the rest of the Velocity Factor staff I believed they truly cared about my car and wanted to restore it to the best of their ability. Perfection is the only word that can describe the appearance of my car after the work was complete. No bubbles in the paint, perfectly blended, all scratches completely removed and untraceable, and no glimpse "fish eyes" when looking at the long angles of the car. At this moment, I knew I had found my new car shop. Many oil changes, detailing, and minor upgrades later, for both mine and my sister's car, I was put in yet another unfortunate situation. I was run off the on-ramp to 95 by a drunk driver at a speed of 50mph. I was able to dodge all guard rails, but it resulted in my car smashing head on into a curb, blowing all the tires, destroying my wheels and wreaking havoc on my suspension. I had my car immediately towed to Velocity Factor and Felipe began doing what he does best. Through the entire process, I received updates about my car as well as full disclosure regarding which parts would be ordered and where the best deals could be found. Velocity Factor did an amazing job working hand in hand with State Farm Insurance to make sure my car would once again deserve the accolade of perfection. I chose to stick with the factory suspension parts, but upgraded my wheels, tires, and rotors. The car came out even better than when I first purchased it new from the dealership. It handled like a dream and I can never thank the Velocity Factor team enough for the complete rebuild of my suspension. To anyone considering or contemplating using Velocity Factor for European, Japanese or Domestic performance needs, please keep reading. I called and spoke to Felipe (Owner) this past Sat morning and was very impressed with his interest and expertise in my car 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 and what I was trying to accomplish. I made over 50 calls this morning to local shops in hopes of the opportunity to have my Autotech fuel pump internals installed and came up empty or frustrated speaking with speed shop mechanics or owners who had no clew what I was looking to get done. Felipe called me back promptly to let me know that they were wrapping up on another car and was able to get me in to install my HPFP Autotech internals so this was a big deal for me as I'm extremely busy with work and family life. My brother and I have a 1600whp Supra that runs 8's @ over 170 in street trim with ac, power steering and full interior, banging gears so my point is stop listening to others who may have their personal underlying agenda to discredit this wonderful shop with it's competent mechanics and staff that will go above and beyond their way to handle a wide range of performance needs for your vehicle. I would have to say the best shop I have dealt with yet! They really know their stuff when it comes to racing, handling, performance, and they all have a good taste in what looks good either on the car or under the hood! They are very passionate about racing and it shows in their work! They are always finding the new awesome products to make more power and keep my car looking good! Couldn't ask for much more! I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and the whole crew continues to stay in touch and keep me updated on new parts. My family still deals with the shop and brings my car to the shop for continuous work and maintenance. They always get me good deals on products and always show real enthusiasm for working on cars. They always send me pictures of my car when they are working on it and always treated my parents with respect when ever they brought the car in for more work. They are like family to me as well. I have an 05 SRT4 and was looking for a good performance shop in South Florida. Not as easy as it sounds. When I came across Velocity Factor's website I was impressed. When I called during the week, I spoke to a rep that was real cool and made me feel comfortable so I decided to stop by the shop that Saturday. That's when I met Felipe for the first time. Real stand up guy. Professional and knowledgable. He was in the middle of something but put that aside to give me his attention. I appreciated that and knew I found the right place. After expressing to him the things I'd like to have done to my ride, we went for a quick test drive. After the test drive and a closer look under the hood, he wanted to do a few additional modifications to not only make my ride faster, but safer. He assured me that when he's done with my ride, it would be done right and I would be very satisfied. I agreed to have the work done and I am glad I did. He was 100% right. My ride has never been better and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work that was preformed. Today was my first visit to Velocity Factor and I can attest that it will not be my last one. They are the only Revo Technik approved installers in Palm Beach County according to the Revo website. I was a bit apprehensive to go when I read those one star reviews. I don't let just anyone touch my S4. These German cars can be a prima donna and you need to trust the hands who will work on them. Two things that struck me at first glance: 1) the owner Felipe was working on a car (himself!)when I got there and 2) everyone in the garage and in the office welcomed me. South Florida is not known for customer service so its quite refreshing to see welcoming employees anywhere. Also, a business owner who gets his hands dirty working on the cars himself earns my respect. This is Boca Raton after all and watching a business owner actually working its a rare sight. Felipe was not rude at all, he's a straight shooter and will give you a price quote on the spot. No games, no BS. He knows his stuff too. I honestly did not see any of what the one star reviews claim. Must be the competition trying to level the field. The way I see it, happy employees means good working conditions. A business owner who's willing to get his hands dirty (literally but he washed them before greeting me) is a leader and not just a boss. Don't beleive me, go see it for yourself. Ok, so I have to admit some of the reviews scared me on this business, however, I decided to go there anyways because it was close to my work and their prices were reasonable. Granted, Felipe is not a phone person and can be abrupt but don't let that throw you off (I've noticed in Florida some people just don't say bye before they hang up). When you meet him in person, it's like he's a totally different guy; very courteous and helpful. When I went to pick up my car, Felipe wasn't going to let me leave until he showed me everything they did and what I needed to know about the car. Even though his phones were ringing off the hook, customers waiting, he still took the time to really tell me about my car, how to adjust it, and anything I wanted to know (basically, he wasn't going to let me leave there unhappy). Further, when I brought in the wrong part (a $1000 mistake), he personally called the manufacturer, shipped my wrong part back and had the right part overnighted to him....incredible service. btw, the company I ordered the part from had a no return policy of items over $500 and a 20% restocking fee for items under $500 so I initially thought I was screwed. The rest of his staff are also very courteous and helpful and seem to know their stuff. Overall, I would recommend Velocity Factor and plan on doing more business with them. read more

I brought my pampered but relatively stock 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo into Velocity Factor, as I was contemplating swapping out the original Gen 2 3SGTE 2.0L turbo motor for an updated and improved Gen 4, as well as repainting the rear bumper. I sat with Felipe and discussed what I wanted in the car as well as my power goals. He put together an extensive and comprehensive list of what had to be done in order to reliably get me to my goal for the MR2. Felipe and his team being MR2 enthusiasts themselves went above and beyond my expectations and treated my car with the utmost care. What started as just a Gen 4 engine swap, turned into somewhat of an MR2 restoration project for them. They thoroughly cleaned the engine bay removing much of the oil that was all over the subframe (which was attributed to a defective cracked oil filter) and polished the entire car, bringing out much of the brilliant white that was still in the original paint. Any additional questions I had after the swap, Felipe was readily available to answer them. Thank you again to Velocity Factor for restoring and bringing new life into one of Japan's legendary sports cars. I recently purchased a Mazdaspeed3 that already clearly had some aftermarket installs on it. Wanting to make sure the vehicle was running properly and efficiently I called down to Velocity Factor. After discussing with Felipe that I AM NOT A RACER, just occasionally enjoy a good "pull" in my car; I shared with him which direction I would like to go with a little added performance and reliability. I had a couple of ideas in mind and Felipe actually encouraged against several of them. Its comforting to hear a business owner allow you to keep coin in your pocket. I took my car in on a Monday and was back on the road by 3:30ish Car runs amazingly! Gained power and MPG's. I certainly recommend this shop and intend to do more business there. I took my 2015 Fiesta ST to their shop to do a full stage 3 upgrade, which includes intercooler, downpipe, exhaust, motor mount, blow-off valve, oil catch can. In other words, many different parts requiring a range or tools and expertise to install. I first went to velocity factor over 10 years ago when he installed a nx express fogger kit greddy exhaust, new greddy header and a aem v2 cold air intake and a nitrous purge system and each springs on my 2Gen eclipse. He did an amazing job then and he did it quickly and at a fair price. Fast forward to today he put Leon Hardritt Superstar reise wheels on my 2017 86. He also installed the new Tein flex Z coilovers and valenti tail lights a log with a pair of fog lights using the JDM switch to give it a super clean look and my 3rd brake light. He did all this in a day and a half which is super quick especially since he squeezed me in last minute because I originally tried to install the rims myself but had a rubbing issue and he totally bailed me out and did an amazing job. I highly recommended them back in the day and I still do now. They haven't missed a beat in almost 2 decades of service. Plus the shop show room is super slick looking with a ton of high end wheels on hand. read more

I brought my 1999 Mercedes Benz into Velocity Factor to have a set of new headlamps installed as well as the rear sub frame bushings replaced which were completely worn out and causing all types of noises. I spoke to Felipe and he reassured me that he would take care of everything and not to worry. My car now drives like a dream! If I can sum up the work he and the crew at Velocity Factor did in one word it would be IMPECCABLE! They are the real deal and the only game in town in Boca Raton. I drove from the Tampa area to have them upgrade my Mazdaspeed 3 to Stage 2, because of the reviews I read and the recommendations made on the Mazdaspeed forums. I am glad I made the trip! These guys had me in at 10 and completely bolted up, test driven and out the door by 3:30. Try that at any other shop...they did a Cobb Turbo back exhaust/down pipe, cp-e TMiC, powder coated valve cover, Cobb RMM, colder plugs, Cobb Accessport and a synthetic oil change. After the test drive, they adjusted my air pressure and top offed all my fluids. While waiting Felipe even bought me lunch! Not sure why guys are being hard on this shop? The team was beyond professional and went out of their way to ensure I was happy and make me feel welcome! They even talked me out of parts I didn't need at this point! These guys are awesome. I have a GMC Yukon, not the type of car they would normally work on mind you, that died in front of their shop. This was at 6:30 and their shop was closed but Felipe and another worker whose name I sadly did not catch were still there having a meeting. I knocked on the door and was let inside where I explained my issue. Felipe went outside to start my car and let me know that I would need a new battery and most likely a new alternator. They didn't have the battery I needed in the shop so Felipe ordered one from an auto parts shop down the road and put it in my truck, free of charge (save the battery obviously) and in the rain within an hour. They didn't do this to scam me, try to get more business or anything like that. They helped me because they are good guys and this establishment is a quality one. I brought my 08 Volkswagen GTI to Velocity Factor to see if they could help me with some reliable modification that would not only make the car a bit quicker but handle the occasional twisties. As I came in, I was greeted by the owner himself Felipe who personally took the time to listen to my needs and guide me in the right direction. Felipe recommended a blow-off valve, intake, down-pipe, boost gauge, stage 2 re-flash and for the suspension a sport tune suspension package. First, let me start by saying that I was recommended to Velocity Factor by a friend who brought his car here and had nothing but a positive experience. Secondly, I started off by having a K&N performance air filter put into my 2011 Saab 9-3 (as I had done a stage 3 tune) everything went smooth. Then I had an oil change( as they do general maintenance) since I had performance upgrades, it was strongly suggested. Next came the installation of the ETS intercooler, H&R sport spring set, Boost gauge and I have to say that I was completely impressed by Peter (head tech), Felipe (owner) and Pascal (asst. mgr/marketing) - entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and fair. My car is running perfectly and I am 100% satisfied and I highly recommend for anyone looking to do performance modifications and/or general maintenance work - they do a great job and are very competitively priced - give them a shot. read more

Let me start off by saying these guys are FREAKING awesome I have been to other shops to get tunes and parts for my car and those others come no where close! Felipe is the man! I went in to get my car tuned as i removed the APR tune from my car, the previous shop i went to screwed me over so they lost my respect.
