A friend of mine recommended Redline Bimmer Performance because he had heard that they are reliable & good service center. I had called them twice before some months prior, to try get a quote on an oil change but I never heard back from them. I figured they are probably busy and told myself that I would swing by there when I had a chance. Well I dropped in and Spoke to Rennie, who was very friendly and helped to get my car taken care of despite not having an appointment. I waited less than an hour for them to change the oil on my 328D as my son was very comfortable sleeping on their couch. Thank you for taking responsibility but your mention of telling me "immediately" is just not true I came there on October 15th and didn't receive a call till the 28th. I had to call myself 3 times to see what the problem was. You never had any open communication whatsoever and maybe called me once in the 2 months that my car was there. 2 months. I had to repeatedly call on my own because days, and week would go further by with no update at all. You did cover the cost of the repair (because you destroyed the whole upper end of my engine changing belts). My car was never a priority and fixing it never was bc u drove by plenty of times and it was in the same spot for the entirety of the 2 months. Then when I came to pick it up the cars dashboard was a Christmas tree with constant oil pressure lights. I took it to another tech and he said whatever work had been done the hoses and valves were all left loose and everything was leaking. read more

You think you're getting a great deal with the low labor rates, oh but look at the parts mark up. 400% on the exact same tire pressure monitors. They recommend tires then quote you a different tire AND staggered set up (not even a mention of interest in this). Don't bother calling to get clarification on why or if (4) equal size are available, left 2 voicemails and waited 48 hours for a return call, NOTHING!!! I really wanted to like this shop and gave them several chances but in the end it's an absolute shit show!!! read more

After Lauderdale Mini dealer pointed out some costly repairs, I decided to hook up with Redline. James at Redline was very accommodating. I dropped of the Mini after hours, left the key in the drop box, paid with credit card over the phone, picked up the Mini that evening and off I went. First I'd like to state my experience isn't recent, but I haven't forgotten so I'd thought I'd share. I had an e46 m3 that needed brakes, I called a couple shops recommended in the forums. The best quote was redline. I had spoken to the owner and was given one price over the phone, it was really only about $100 less than my local indy shop. I decided to take the trip from coral gables to the shop (about 45 min drive). I wasn't for the savings, I actually wanted to check the place out because I was getting close to changing out my smg pump and wanted a reputable shop. I got to the place, everyone was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. I was escorted to the back with the mechanic and I watched him do some of he work. He kept saying he was hungry and right after my job he would go eat. I waited in the front and when my car was ready my bill was a couple hundred more than quoted. I asked the guy in front of the owner why this was, and he said they don't give quotes over the phone...only ballpark. I paid and left, I wasn't entirely upset but I didn't like he game I felt they had between the poor old man who apparently forgets or misquotes and the younger guys trying to squeeze profits. The moment I realized I was upset is on the 836 westbound after about 30min driving, my car made a loud noise and I couldn't drive...it would make a loud clunk if I just moved forward a bit. So after about an hour a tow truck gets to me and looks at the front brakes and tells me my whole caliper assembly is lose. I called redline and spoke to the mechanic, he said he was heading to homestead speedway the next day and he could pass by and fix it. When he got to my house he told me he must've not tighten the screws, only hand tighten. So the new bolts he used his tool to tighten, he apologized once again and took off. I have him $20 because he had to buy the bolts from Bmw. An unforgettable experience which I hoped wouldn't have happened. I've only owners e36, e46 and e92's M3's and finding a good shop was imperative to owning these cars. I see all the great reviews and even in the forums, maybe it just wasn't my luck. read more

Because of this merchants excellent reviews I decided to take my mini roadster here yesterday. The yellow ems light was on and also my car just "stopped" in the middle of the road yesterday...The "low gas" alert went on when I started my car in the parking lot but it still had "2 lines" so I thought I was okay. I called roadside service and they put gas in it and it was fine but still though I should have it checked out. Took it to Redline and they checked the "diagnostics" and everything was fine ..Rennie just told me that the fuel tank guage may be off and to keep gas in my car. So reasonable and SO HONEST!! Very unprofessional. They seem to be top level mechanics, and they may be, but clearly I was not important enough for them. Received my '05 e46 (my baby) back in 8 days instead of the 3 promised. After a few phone calls, it was obvious that they didn't even look at the thing until the last minute. When I finally got it back, it had a layer of concrete dust covering it outside and in (in the vents, radio, everything). When I asked Thor Jr. (the mechanic) what happened, he said "oh yeah, it was sitting around for a while"... Grrrrrrr...... I go inside to talk to the boss, and there was no remorse. It was like pulling teeth to get 20 buck for a car wash. So I say, don't believe the hype. 120 for an oil change is definitely not worth it, even if they were better people. Fixed the bumper of my dads little Nissan- did a really nice job for half of what the other guys wanted. We got three estimates and they all wanted thousands to change the trunk and the latch and everything, totaling 4 grand, when my dad bought the car for 2k Redline told us he could use as many of the existing parts that were good, and he took the dent out of the trunk and repainted it- it looks phenomenal! Thanks for your honesty- The only reason we ended up here is because the guy that hit my dad was paying for it and he knew the owner or something... I came to this shop because of the great reviews except for one but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. First of all I am not impressed. When I arrived on Wednesday to see if they can service my car, James asked that I make an appointment which I did for the following day. I dropped off my car early in the morning and left it the whole day. Before I left, I asked how much an oil change would be. He gave me an estimate of $150 for a '12 BMW 135i which is higher price than a dealer. James response to that was, "Well the dealer loses money on oil changes to get you in". As steep as I thought it was I still went ahead. My car was having other issues (gas mileage and revving) which I brought up to James before I left. The following day, I had to call since I didn't hear from them after I dropped off the car. James explained they are still working on the revving issue. He never gave me an estimate on how much the job would be. Later in the afternoon, he called that they finally resolved the revving issue and to pick up the car. I told him I would come before closing. When I arrived, I was given a price of over $300 in charges. Soon after, James arrived and said he had to correct the charges which ended up to be $432. It was a complete price shock. I would of rather gone to the dealer if I was going to be paying this much. They reprogrammed the computer for the revving and an oil change. When I asked about the gas mileage, he explained that its a high mileage car and that i should start with replacing spark plugs. Driving the car it continued to rev but not as much. But what was infuriating was that they didnt display when the next oil change would be nor did they reset the oil service indicator in the car as simple as it is. I guess I was that person that you can easily do less and pay more. I would not recommend this place at all especially for these high prices. read more

These guys do great work on BMW's. Reasonable prices. In one case they fixed a persistent shifting problem. When I finally bought a z4 they dropped in another 150 hp, again at a reasonable price. I would give negative stars if I could. After 6 months they don't tell me to come get my car because it's ready: they tell me I owe them 13k. I laughed in their faces and haggled it down to 1500 too much. They didn't allow me to see the car before paying their nonsensical storage fees and then I get to my pristine example of a collector vehicle and I see my entire drivers door and side skirt wrecked. On top of having the hardest color to paint match bmw has made, redline didn't assume any responsibility calling it an "act of god." Any adjuster would call not true on that based on the fact that my mirror cap was fully in tact inside the car. So you charge storage to leave my car in a lake for 6 months, don't put it on a tender and kill my battery, don't install my bumper correctly AND wreck the car? It's laughable you'd ask me to review. Now my car is at a third shop who I know will do it properly as the first thing they had done was detail the car and store it inside on a tender. read more

Took my 2007 Mini Cooper S in for a tune-up and some small issues. They did excellent work. The care runs and drives like brand new. Rennie was super helpful and walked me through their initial quote for the work to be done, and the prices were probably 1/2 of what it would have cost to have it done at a dealer or elsewhere.
