Most recently, the dealership would not honor an extended warranty for a coolant hose (another gotcha in the fine print, but that's a separate issue) and they wanted $7k+ for 15+ hours for an "extensive" work to remove the turbo chargers, etc to replace the hose. I saved $5600 with Redline Bimmer Performance and that included a new battery I know I needed. After calling 4 shops prior to calling redline; every single one said I bricked my ecu and would be guaranteeing replacement which is quite frightening considering its not the cheapest option. It was refreshing to hear someone answer the phone who was not only optimistic but calm and honest. This is thanks to Louis at redline. Walking into the office area is non intimidating and I was greeted immediately with whom I spoke on the phone. When I brought the car in they said it would be an hour long job; which they had completed in 30 minutes within me arriving. While I was waiting the owner, Rennie, even offered me a magazine he noticed I was reading to take home. Can't say enough good about this place. I took my BMW X5 M to redline... they rectified the problem within less than 10 mins. They really know what they are doing as I went to a previous "BMW Specialist" that was trying to fleece me for the same issue (the previous specialist wanted to keep my car for days to rectify the issue) which Redline did within less than 10 mins and to top it off Redline did not even charge me as it was a minor issue. I wrote this review because it's not often you are able to find an establishment that is fair and competent and for me that deserves praise. Several years ago the center console button that controlled the convertible top on the '96 BMW 328i I was driving at the time stopped working. Vista BMW had my car for, I kid you not, an entire month while they ordered one part after another, but the top still wouldn't work. So I went online, found Redline, and took my car there. HONESTY and EXPERTISE. I have a 2015 BMW X5 and had a malfunctioning sunroof and rear differential leaking oil. The local BMW dealer told me I'd need to replace my differential ($7k-$8k), and for the sunroof - I was ready to shell out for a new motor. Redline BMW let me know my engine is fine and it's a minor leak, and reset my CPU to fix the malfunctioning sunroof.
