Well just when you things couldn't get better....It DID! Last week I need a few parts for my 2006 Toyota 4 runner (bumper, front headlight and a back wiper blade. Just happened to look up while I was driving and saw the big sign out front that read Astro Auto Salvage. Jammed on the brakes and just pulled in. Upon getting there the owner Dana told me to pull my truch forward headlights facing the front door. Out pops Dana with these 2 solutions and proceeds to take that film that covers your headlight. Two squirts and a wipe. After that he invited me in, I picked up my parts and out the door I went.. Definitely amazing customer service and it's only 3 miles from my house. I was in need of salvaging an old vehicle, got the best offered out there after many, many, many calls all over the place. Besides the great offer, Dana (the owner? a worker? not sure) was kind enough to accommodate a meeting place half way to their location to complete the transaction and paperwork. I live in Fort Lauderdale and Boynton Beach would have been a bit out the way for me, so it was most helpful! I wasn't in need of part, but if they are constantly getting vehicles like the one I salvaged (busted catalytic converter but great shape on everything else) then the part they sell there must be great. They warranty parts for a year.... NOT! I bought parts that lasted less than 30 days. I called their office to informed them and get their warranty to find out a scripted answer with out even checking the car. Their answers are of how something else in the vehicle cause the damage on their parts without checking the vehicle. I explained that that was not possible, since I have paper work showing that indeed were the parts that purchased that were bad from a reputable mechanic. I understand that these parts are used but do not misrepresent a warranty on a contract. STAY away if you are sold by their warranty. read more

My wife's car was towed to Astro Auto Salvage after her car caught on fire on 95. I had the unfortunate pleasure of talking to Dana about the car. He showed me no level of customer service in resolving why my wife's car was towed to his salvage yard. He was very rude, unprofessional, yelling at me over the phone, and refusing to give me any information. My insurance agent and the tow truck owner also experienced the same hospitality that I had. STAY WAY... My name is Vic Palmer Sr, I am a 71 year old disabled veteran. My 2007 Hummer H2 was stolen and the complete interior gutted. I found a add on Craigslist from Astro Auto Wrecking that they had all the parts for my H2, so I had my son call them. They told my son that they had almost everything I needed and that it was a direct fit and match to my vehicle, so I had my son drive down to their place from Fresno, CA to pick everything up, I spent $2968.00 that day. When my son left that day one of the employees forgot to give him all of the parts like the driver side mirror that I was charge $300.00 for. My son realized that it was miss half way back to Fresno and call right away, but was only able to leave a message. The following Monday no one returned our call so my son called them again and talked to George the owners son who sold us the parts and was told it would be shipped right away. A week went by and nothing showed so we called again and pretty much got the run around and was told it will be in the mail ASAP. My son called again but this time was told that George was not in and that he was the only one that could help us, no calls were returned and again we called to be told the same, that George wasn't in and only he could help us, as we're watching him put post up on craigslist to call him for parts. Today 2/23/2016 I still have not got my $300.00 mirror and all of these parts were bought in October of 2015. On top of this most of the parts they sold us out of there 2005 H2 were not the same as our 2007 H2 all of the wiring harness to the seats were different and since they ripped us off my son had to make do and wire them in to make them work. I know it has taken me to write this but like I said, Im a 71 year old disabled veteran that doesn't get around or work as good as I use to. Our mechanic ordered a part for our son's Mitsubishi and received the wrong part. How that happened is what is not clear. Obviously, someone made a mistake. Dana (the omnipotent owner) believes he is incapable of making a mistake. According to him, our mechanic doesn't know what he is doing and ordered the wrong part. After spending some time with me and providing some helpful information (which is the best thing I could say about him), he said he was done and hung up on me. He didn't like that I tried calling him back to get some information and decided to call the police because he felt I was harrassing him. Aside from not being able to resolve the problem, he was just plain rude. There really was no need for that. I'm not one to dwell on negative experiences and am always looking to find solutions instead of making things worse. After reading other reviews elsewhere of people having a similar experience, the most I can say is if you decide to order a part from this company, please make sure you have some written confirmation from them that what you are ordering is in fact what you will get. read more
