Lets just say the only reason we have Velociter is because it's the only ISP that semi fast in my area of Linden. It is very spotty and sometimes will go out for hours , meaning no internet. I've been with this company for 3 years , again because it's the ONLY one that reaches my area, I started with some plan that was 79.99 a month, it wasn't until recently that I discovered that they changed that plan from the original price to 69.99. So i've been paying 10 dollars extra for over a year from what the lady told me, but they've never bothered to tell me because it's not in their policy! Don't even try to get your money back because they will not have it, as much as I believe this company is complete THIEVES , internet now a days is as important as a utility so we have no choice but stay with them. I hope that one day another ISP comes along and runs these guys out of business or drives them to a reasonable price. read more

Do not enter into a contract with this company! It's a "wireless" contract, and as such, they are 2-years in duration, and when you figure out that just about every single time you sit down at the computer you will be disappointed in some way, and go to terminate your contract and move on to another provider, you're told you have to "buy-out" of your contract...I personally didn't even KNOW it was a 2-year contract when I signed up. Paying $69 a month for 10mbs and not only are there interruptions in the service (WAY more than I'm happy with, pretty-much a daily occurrence), but I keep getting calls from the wife while I'm at work that Netflix has crashed again...I've spoken to their "techs" numerous times, and my expensive Asus router has been blamed quite a bit, but...I've changed over to an upper-end Netgear router and I'm still getting the same calls from the wife...not just interrupted service but really SLOW download speeds, evidently during peak surfing times the network is so busy I'm lucky to see 4mbs download speeds... NOT getting the service I believe I'm paying for, and not a happy customer. read more

When we moved to our current property south of Oakdale 21 years ago, we didn't even have a "home" computer! Over the years, we have had issues, having chosen to live with a little seclusion. After suffering with a different Internet carrier who outsourced their customer service to who-knows-where, I was delighted one day to see a sign by the side of the road that said "Velociter Wireless now in your neighborhood" or something. I called, they came to put up the dish to my husband's specifications, and said that from their vantage point, we should have good reception from a couple different towers. I can't even remember how long it has been. Usually if our signal is down, I'm able to just re-boot and get it back within 5 minutes. We recently upgraded our router because of some fancy do-dad our kids gave us for Christmas that would help us use Netflix better, and the customer service people talked my husband through that with no troubles. We're on auto-pay, so we rarely even have to think about the internet service ~ it's just there, reliable, and works great. read more

We live out in the country in Escalon. We used to have charter but they sucked and we were told that this place was better than Charter. I don't know where we got that information from but obviously they don't know crap about good Internet speed and reliability. We've had it since August of last year, and the amount of times that the Internet has just completely shut us out is absolutely ridiculous for the amount we pay per month. When it actually is working sometimes it's decent and most times it's spotty. Heaven for bid you try to actually talk to someone over the phone. I tried calling their suppose it 24/7 tech support line and waited for 45 minutes saying that there was people in front of me. When it was finally my turn I was directed to a voicemail. A voicemail people. I don't see how that's going to help me. Especially when they don't bother to call you back during their business hours. Waist of time. I can't wait until the day that some good Internet provider services Escalon. read more

Excellent service and even better customer support. We use them entirely for 3 businesses at 3 different locations we own. As far as Wireless Internet Service Providers go we have used their competitor and switched to Velociter back in 2010 for our farm and were impressed with their level of service. Shortly their after we switched our other locations over to them and rarely have issues and when we have the connections were repaired in a timely fashion. We have seen the company grow and they have always delivered a quality product and have stayed current with technology and continue to improve the service we receive. We have AT&T available at 1 of our locations but will continue to stay with Velociter because of the quality of service and speed of the connection. Our businesses rely on the internet to operate and we can't afford to be down. If you are outside of town and or dsl is your only option I would highly recommend that you give them a call. read more
