We had our internet go down and called Velociter. I always get a quick response from the team and they locate the problem. They set our appointment up on a Thursday, then texted and let me know they would be able to come out early Wednesday. This last problem was related to the box in our garage area. I would prefer to give zero stars. It has actually been a while, but I previously had Velociter and the service was horrible as well as the lady at the front desk... She was so freaking rude! This place charged me to cancel even though my service didn't work! I paid off my contract to be done with Velociter and now have working super-high-speed-net at a great price from elsewhere. We have used them for several years. Recently, with working from home, we chose a higher-priced plan and increased access on our property. From then on, our reliability went out the window. I am rarely able to be connected for longer than 10 minutes. We have called them, but they still have not fixed it to any degree. Moreover, they do not even follow-up with us, as a business should with long-term customers. We are now looking elsewhere. So I am quite surprised when I read reviews that indicate how helpful they are. I certainly have not found that to be so. read more

My dish was blown over in the recent wind storm. Technician was out the next morning and had it repaired in a few minutes. Excellent service from the tech and service restored. Previous internet provider was AT&T where service was slow and repairs needed often. Now much faster service and no repair required until this high wind storm. I definitely recommend them if you are in a rural area. read more

"Owner" contacted me unannounced. Refused to communicate in writing. Said he would only speak on the phone to discuss "options". I indicated i don't have internet, which is why i wanted said "options" to be communicated. Coordinated the replacement company Hughes while this transpired and i was asked by the "owner" if the internet truly didn't work so he could turn off the signal as their equipment at my home was adversely affecting THEIR network. (now i'm the problem) I indicated it's his company and he confirmed I don't have internet so what did he think ? I told him to turn it off and coordinate his company to remove their equipment when the replacement company is coming. I was met with further unprofessionalism and projected impotence. I always feel like I am being punished for living so far out in the country away from the hustle and bustle of the actual city of Modesto because of this internet provider. They're not open on weekends, you can't pay your bill online UNLESS your within a certain distance from the router, so when I'm out of town or out of state, I can't pay my bill. In the event you forget to pay your bill and it's Friday, your fucked! I work from home and own a small logistics business from my home since the Pandemic and twice a week we are without service from three to eight hours. Today was 8 hours , so I missed money all morning because I'm a dispatcher and broker! All of these services require internet. Then when you call the techs say the same thing every time. Sometimes I call hoping one of them knows anything, but it's clearly scripted, "Uh yes we're doing some maintenance ". FOH we'll do we get a discount??? AT&T would at least credit my bill every time they made me miss money. NOT Velocitor! Service and connection are deplorable The only thing reliable about Velocitor's service: goes down at 5 PM to speeds below 1 mbps, always down on weekends and the same old line "will check on it and get back to you. I hate giving poor reviews, but as a paying customer I feel obligated to inform others as to our experience w/ Velociter before going forward. Service is just plain horrible. Upload speeds are never consistent AND are never at promised strength. I once asked what the average download rating was and he told me that 10 Mbps was excellent. For the past week I've been as high as 6 but average BELOW 1! Want to use the Internet after 5? Forget about it. We just got back from a friend's house who's download speed was 27.52 Mbps. And they pay less for their service than we do. It's truly frustrating because we want to support the local companies (in this case the ONLY company), but if someone else comes along and offers better service, we'll be going with them. read more

I have been with this company for almost 6 years. I have been having major issues lately with the connection and have left countless voicemails. They still have not returned my phone calls. I also pay for the highest plan. You would think me being a loyal customer for so long would make a difference. I have never missed a payment. I have also noticed neighbors getting new satellite dishes and yet mine is the same. If they can come replace the neighbors dish they can surely call me back and figure out my issues. This company has horrible service. We are new to the county and esaclon. And they said they service the area. And the man who live in the house before had this service. I was told the service was great. Well when they came out to do the site Survey. They said they can't fine a single and the trees where in the way. That is such bull crap. I don't know why velocitor wireless won't give us service. We are a paying new customer. WE have been with Velociterr for a long time. It's the same as the other reviews below. On the weekends it runs disgustingly slow, and weather, (hot, cold, wind or rain) is sure to make it stop. In the past there has been communication to try to get it fixed. We upgraded from 2Mbps to 10Mbps, but have as yet to see 10. For the past 12 days we have been running somewhere from 1.4 to 2.9. No one answers the phone, no returned calls, E-mail is like pushing on a string. WE are dumping Velociter ASAP. read more

Some parts of the day the service is adequate. At other times it is terrible. When all of their customers are home, like in the evening, the speed drops from 10mps to 2 mps. Trying to watch a movie tonight but keeps stopping. Did a speed test and only slightly above 2mps when they promise 10mps. Have had this provider over a year constant "towers down for maintenance excuses" coverage is spotty around 8:00pm-10:00pm like clockwork due to high volumes of use on there servers Recently called in to make payment the secretary "accidentally" runs the card 4 times so rather than wait to be refunded I requested a credit toward the account every bill cycle since the service has been suspended for no payment and I have to argue to get it back on Recently this last bill period it was shut off as usual come to learn the secretary that took my payment never noted it electronically to my account and rather took a conscious "note" of it and was let go from the company Was out of internet from a Thursday - Monday only to fight my way through management to prove my innocence it's now Friday and the internet is off until Tuesday (holiday weekend) again called customer service and they say I owe $153 ! If you have other choices, check them out first. I am in a rural area, and they are the only company that could get connection with their tower. The connection is slow. The internet goes out several times a day, but that is usually short. But any time the wind blows (like today), or it rains, we can count on the service going down for a good spell, sometimes hours. After trying this service for almost 2 years, I have given up and gone to Hughes Net. The people who work at Velociter are very nice. But that doesn't make their service any better. I have tried 3 different routers. Velociter came out and adjusted the Dish to no avail. This service is unreliable at best and forget about streaming your favorite shows. I sometimes can't get to my EMail or Banking. I think Velociter has oversold and has overloaded their system, which uses satellite dish to read a tower on the ground. Several of my friends who live around Stanislaus County have the same problem. It is not just my area with the trouble. Save yourself tons of aggravation. read more

Velociter gets 2 stars because I do have internet. Is it reliable? No. Frequent outages? Yes. I have an expensive 2 channel router that works really well so that is not the problem. When the installers came out and installed the satellite and set things up, I was getting 25mbps. I was told dont get used to it because It will be limited to 10mbps per my plan. I'm pretty sure I dont even get 5mbps because I can't even stream a movie or watch on demand tv shows because it says my internet connection in not sufficient. Supposedly you only need 5mbps to stream a movie. We have my son on one channel by himself so he can play X-box. He is constantly complaining about outages and slow internet. When I stream a move we have to turn everything else off and we still cannot watch a movie without buffering issues. The tower that my satellite is pointing to is directly behind my house, clear view with no obstacles. I wish I had a better internet option! The only reason I have Velociter, is because it's my only option. read more

Living in rural Oakdale, with no regular internet service, we were happy to try Velociter. They came out and did a test to see if we would get reception. They indicated we would and worked with us to place the small satellite disk and router. The monthly price was ver reasonable, especially compared with much larger companies. There was NO time that I did Not get reception on my phone, IPad, or desktop. If I have a question, it is very easy to contact someone in the Escalon office, personally. Plus, they give a discount if you pay for 6 pr 12 months at a time. They're a winning company. I urge you to consider doing business with them. read more

If there was anyway to give these poor excuses for a business a negative number it would have to be a -10. We've been down now for six days with no Internet. We run an emergency medical repair service And our phone lines and of course computer all connected to the Internet which of late keeps intermittently dropping out. When you call them all they will tell you is to power down the hardware and blame it on the router. They're adamant about not sending anyone out and trying to blame the router. We bought last time the top-of-the-line Netgear. Since we've had these people every year they blame the router and tell you have to replace it. But when they finally do come out Because it still won't work they finally admit they have to realign and readjust their receiver. So if there's anyway possible save yourself the grief. Not sure what the negative reviews are about but so far I'm very impressed with Velociter. I read online reviews and their entire agreement prior to signing my life away. I was not impressed with reviews but every real person I know in the local area that uses this company is very happy with their service and network. From my initial call to inquire about service and ask questions, to signing up for service, scheduling the surveying, scheduling install and the elaborate build of the tower at install has been more than pleasant. Andrew was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the surveying and explained how the install would go...which is just how it went. Everyone involved in the process was courteous and was on time! They called when they said they would and they arrived when they said they would! Very appreciated in this day and age! Brian and Lee came out to do the install and built a beautiful tower. They were fast, efficient, helpful, CAREFUL, and very professional. I definitely feel taken care of and I know if I do encounter a problem with my service, I know I am in good hands. Very nice to work with a small town company that knows what real customer service is from the very beginning of the process: the initial call to inquire about service. Hate, hate, hate this company! We had them years ago when they were the only service available out in the country in Escalon. We had problem after problem with them caught them in numerous lies and on one occasion they spliced the wires under our house and then lied and said they didn't when they were the only ones who had been down there! We canceled as soon as there was another option which was Fire to Wire, loved them!! No problems for over 6 years! Then, when Fire to Wire couldn't help us because of the tall tree issues we were pretty much forced to go back to Velociter. We really did not want to. We started with the $49.95 service which was lousy so when they offered to waive the service fee to upgrade to the $79 service two months later we accepted. When I went in to pay the bill they had tacked on the service fee. I told her (jennifer) that it had been waived and she said they wouldn't have done that, I said well they did. They told me and my husband both the same thing, we're not making it up! I paid the bill minus the service fee and then 2 weeks later get a past due email notice. I called today and got a very condescending jerk on the phone who was extremely rude and said that they never waive fees. I seriously think it is their policy to lie! I really do, they did it years ago and they are still doing it! We will be quitting again as soon as we can! read more

So our internet connection hasn't been reliable, we live in a very remote area in the country. I'm giving them 5 stars because their office is filled with incredibly nice staff who bend over backwards to get their connection stable for you. The reliability of our internet has to do with the location of our house and the hills and trees that surround us-not their fault, yet they continue to spend time and resources to get us decent speeds. They are our only choice for internet and they know that. Most companies would use that to their advantage. Not Velociter. Every single staff member I've come into contact with has been well rounded, down to earth, and extremely friendly. I'm a network technician by trade so I know first hand that it's rare to find computer experts with good personalities. Some how Velociter does it. Every time I contact any member of their staff I hang up feeling like they genuinely care about me as a person more so then the monthly fee I am paying as a customer. They seem like a great company to work for and seem to have great leadership. It shows in all of their employees. There is no amount of money that is worth paying for this ISP. You will be better off going through dish or direct TV for the ungodly price rather than suffering through this companies sad excuse for service. The first few months were terrible, we had fast speeds for about a month and then after that, if one computer was on a web page, no other device could access anything on the internet what-so-ever. We contacted them several times until finally something was changed, and we had 5 star plus speeds again for about....Another month. Another excuse another band aid by the company designed to keep us paying them for as long as possible. This went on and on, time and time again until finally they did some payment and service "Upgrades" What a joke. Now we pay a premium price for what they claim to be "1M/bs" Speeds. Which is true, at only 3:00 am every day. Any other time there might be traffic on their towers you can expect to barely be able to achieve anything other than surfing the web in a timely fashion. AND DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT GAMING ON THIS GARBAGE. For the last year it's been the same song and dance. Forced to wake up early and cram out anything you want done on the internet and then go about your day, because anything after 5:00 pm and you will have slower internet than AOL. And guess what? This is their most expensive plan, and it's expensive at 69.99$ a month when you only really pay for half a days worth of decent net speeds each day. Think of it this way, each month you go out and buy the most expensive toilet paper you can, and the store you bought it from takes half the rolls and wipes their asses with them before letting you have them back. Upgrade after upgrade has shown no improvements, and contacting them is like trying to open a new checking account over the phone except the DMV is running the bank. When you show up in person to complain about your troubles... well your met with warm smiles that try to lull into a false sense of accomplishment. "Oh yeah looks like this is a problem with your connection, let me fix that." Great thanks. Internet runs smoothly as it should for a day at most after that, then right back to the garbage can with your speeds and consistent connection status. Did I mention you'll lose service randomly about twice a week or more? No? Oh well that happens a lot to. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN HELP IT. No matter how much you try to improve it they will never EVER fix your speeds, connection permanently. "Well what if the problem is on your end?" That was their first suggestion. We replaced the router, our modems within the computers for higher grade way more expensive modems. Paid them 100$ for a new radio that they should replace on their own but when asked about that they will tell you "Nope you gotta pay for it, we get them form a different company." So make sure to always have 100+ bucks to shell out on a little plastic GameBoy charger if that ever goes out, because the net will not work without it. Hell we even had them format our router in person so the ports were free and their was no strict nat type to worry about. So no, it's not on our end. You pay for a cluster f***ked traffic congested net service at a premium price with these guys, plain and simple. Oh, and don't ever expect the technicians responsible for installing your gear to show up on time....they won't. read more

Awful service, even worse internet being supplied, They claim to supply 20 Mbps download in their plan, I seldom get above 10-12 Mbps at any given time, I can be the only one home with no devices except the one running a speed test and ill get no more than 10 Mbps, I've contacted them MULTIPLE times regarding this, and (as if they are reading off a script) they always blame MY hardware, we have a very expensive router that is more than capable of supporting our use, but yet... they find a way to blame us for the issues. Just this afternoon, i had 1.3 Mbps upload, 2 Mbps download and over 300 ms ping... absurd that a company can get away with the lies they tell. I've posted before regarding this, but my post has disappeared, lets see if this one magically *POOFS* away as well... Last time i posted they asked me to call and they would help me, but what do you know, IT WAS MY ROUTER AGAIN? I recomend avoiding this company. If you have any other options take them. read more

I have traveled all over and experienced multiple Internet providers available. This has to be the worst I have ever had. The internet goes out every couple minutes. We constantly call and they say they have fixed the problem, but 5 minutes later it goes off. On multiple occasions, technical support people have come to the house and do an "analysis". They come up with some excuses to why they cannot install the new hardware and why they cannot fix it. The cop out seems to be "get a new router". Well, I have switched routers quite a few times because I like having the newer, better routers available on the market. Sorry Velociter Wireless, but that excuse does not work. I am hearing there will be a new Internet provider coming into the rural area. If this is the case, then Velociter Wireless may not survive much longer unless they start learning the value of a customer. I forgot to mention how expensive this Internet is as well. I recently took the plunge and decided to give Velociter a try, anything had to be better then the DSL I was tolerating. Older phone lines = slower connections without resolution. I was surprised at how well the connection was, even in bad weather. Installation team was professiona, installation was clean, price is decent and the bottom line is the service works very well.
