This tiny cafe is located crossing the main downtown fort Langley area towards the park . Old building structure and nothing so fancy but all classic. Antique seating inside make you comfortable and the lady at the counter will take your order. Their menu is all stacked with variety of vegetarian dishes from mac and cheese to enchiladas and bowls. Portions are big and the taste is home cooked. (Easy on stomach) We had tomato soup which can be combined with salad or a toast. I personally think that the toast could have been better with butter or some flavour rather than just whole wheat bread. As a disclaimer, I should say that family and I came here at a bad time. Two young people were doing the lunch service and were obviously in over their heads. The meals (veggie sausage buns, chili dogs, soup and mac&cheese) were all microwaved and came to the table tepid and soggy. It might well be better on a different day, but the dire state of the restroom suggests maybe not. Vegan restaurants are always worthy of support, but don't expect too much from this one. read more

Love! Love! Love this place! I've come here quite a few times and love all the items on the menu. The vegan sausage is amazing! I was skeptical because "fake meat" is hard to get right. But he let me try a little taster to ensure I liked it. Which was so good at first bite. So I ordered the Mac and cheese and was not disappointed. I've had the nachos, Mac and Cheese and Burrito! Visited Veggie Bob's on the weekend in Fort Langley. The only vegan restaurant in the area, I went on a recommendation and was really excited to check them out. My husband and I each ordered one of their sausage dogs and a chocolate shake to share. It was a fairly long wait for the food to arrive although the server did apologize and explain that they had a major rush prior to our arrival. The sausages were very good, although the toppings were overloaded and we had to eat them with a knife and fork rather than being able to hold them like you normally would with sausage dogs. The chocolate shake was delicious, although the vegan ice cream they used wasn't thoroughly blended in and was very chunky. I was slightly underwhelmed but it was still good and filling. Passed by Veggie Bob's on many occasions and finally decided to stop in. It was a weekday and we were the only patrons. The proprietor Bob?, ignored us in favour of his phone for several minutes. We finally placed and paid for our order and then seated ourselves. The food came right away: freezer/fridge to microwave. The quesadea was soggy, as was the veggie dog. I was in Langley for a horse show and I found there weren't many vegan options and Veggie Bob's was the only solely vegan restaurant in the area. I came twice during my weeklong visit to Langley and thoroughly enjoyed my meals both times. The decor is fun and kitschy. I definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a great vegan meal. Got the Mac n cheese burrito. You get your moneys worth that's for sure. I can't say I was the biggest fan of the flavour Of the mac n cheese, but that's not to say it was bad. I have had horrible vegan Mac n cheese and this is waaay better. I did like it overall and the service was good. It was served hot too, so that was nice. read more

I called in this order because I was in the middle of my work day and only had a very tiny window to grab a meal. So I pick up my sausage wrap. Sausage with peppers and onions, one would assume would be heated. Isn't that a typical thing? Wraps aren't always heated, but when it has shredded cheese in it, and sausage with peppers and onions, wouldn't one think the cheese would be melted? Instead I get this horrid cold thing for $15.90. The additional $1.50 for two tablespoons of old, brown guacamole wasn't helpful. I called to tell them what happened and they were regretful and wanted me to come back so they could fix things. (+1 star for that) I couldn't however due to my work. I'm sorry to have to write this but getting things right the first time is important. Especially with take out orders. read more

Great food and lots of options! Lots of wraps, burritos, and homemade vegan sausage creations on the menu. We tried the quesadilla (beans, veg sausage, cheese, grilled onions with salads and guacamole) and Rosa wrap (salad wrap with avocado, veggies and creamy dressing). Great to have a vegetarian/plant based place in Langley. We got to meet Bob today and watched some hot classic rock sets on the big TV. This is a great relaxing place to sit and eat, either on the spacious patio or in there comfortable living room style dining area. The food is good, not great, but good. Most items need just a little bit more in the flavour department to make them great. Small changes to the current menu items would have many customers coming back for more. I would also suggest changing you menu that you have outside. I watched a few people walk up and leave after looking at it. I don't think it's the items I think there are either too many items for that style of placement on the page or the font and colouring is off. read more

If you are looking for great customer service, do not come here. If you are looking for quick and efficient service, do not come here. If you are expecting a clean restaurant, do not come here. Also, maybe bring a fly swatter. And a portable fan. BUT if you're just really hungry and need a greasy, microwaved bowl of vegan mac and cheese, then this is your place. Sometimes I just try to ignore how dirty and sketchy the place is, and the fact that the owner usually falls asleep at the till, and just enjoy the darn mac and cheese. I also just try to ignore my fears that the dishes may not be thoroughly cleaned and how old the food is. I keep bringing new people here every visit because I feel like I've discovered a wonderful secret and want to share it. I've become such a huge fan of Veggie Bob's so let me break down on what you need to know: - The inside is an eclectic hippy den of decoration and comfort. Very cozy and warm space to hang out and enjoy someone's company with and great food. - Bob specializes in comfort food. It's vegetarian/vegan food meant to warm your tummy and packed with flavour. This isn't necessarily light fare because I am always so stuffed afterwards. - I believe Bob makes the vegetarian sausage in house and it is highly recommended (it comes with a lot of the dishes.) I'm going to be real with you, it is the best fake meat I've ever eaten. I usually don't bother with fake meat at all as a vegetarian (if you've tried any you'll know why) but I deliberately come back and order something with it in it when I am here because I crave it after I leave. Delicious. - It seems like it's usually just Bob or one other person working there a lot of the time so wait times can be a little long and, as others have mentioned, Bob isn't exactly the friendliest or most gregarious guy. I don't hold that against him as he's never been rude and makes great food. Because the space is like half living room/eatery and half kitchen, it can get a little muggy in there sometimes too. - I highly recommend the zapatista quesadilla! It's delicious, probably the best take on a vegan quesadilla I've ever tried but I'd suggest sharing it! It's so filling it's crazy. read more

There was only one man working there so service was a little slow, however considering the location (small town without many crowds), it isn't justifiable for many staff members to be employed at a given time. The place is classic hippy including the dirt, self serve and day old food and reminded me of my days in the 60s bumming around kits. Worst experience I've ever had at a veggie restaurant. The service was terrible. The staff sighed every time I asked a question. She used impatient body language. The older man who looked like the owner told me there was just a little coffee left so it would be very strong, and he would give it to me for free- instead of brewing a fresh pot!! Food was sloppily thrown together with no care and tasted average at best.my wife had a hair in hers, probably from the "chef " I seen in the back cooking with no shirt on. Hairy chest and all.
