We scheduled removal of a (2) large Colorado spruce & aspen trees on June 2, 2026, based on an ad we saw in our local news magazine, the "Brighton Buzz". The tree removals were completed to our satisfaction on that day. I had considered having the stumps removed & when Mike inquired about whether or not we wanted to have them taken out, I told him to go ahead (for an additional charge of $200). A stump removal machine was brought in & the stumps were removed. We were advised that there might be some minor damage done because of the stump removals. We paid the invoice in full & Mike & his team quickly left. It wasn't until we later inspected the property more thoroughly that afternoon that we noticed massive damage had been done to our front & side yard, as well as having a water supply line to our landscaping cut. Long story short, there was approximately $2000+ worth of damage done to our property, requiring replacement of 14 landscape pathway lights & walk/flood lights (with necessary rewiring materials), repair to the water line, as well as labor to repair the damage to the lights & surrounding landscaping. We contacted Mike that same day to let him know what we had found. We have attempted to contact Mike on numerous occasions to try to rectify this situation, including sending a letter via registered mail with photos (19) documenting the previously described damage. Our last contact with him was by phone in late July, at which time he promised to remove some dead branches from the trees in our front yard at no charge in order to remedy the damage that was done to our property. The scheduled appointment day came & Mike was a no show. We have not heard from him since. Although we had used Vega's Tree Service in the past & were happy with their service, I can't recommend them based on their failure to make this situation right with the damage they caused. I would suggest delaying payment if you do decide to use them (no down payment before service is rendered) & don't pay until you have thoroughly inspected their work once the job is done!!!!! read more

I had a great experience with Mike and his crew. We had four large pine trees (40 feet high or more) and an apple tree removed, along with the stumps removed. They were efficient and respectful of our property. They are licensed and insured. I highly recommend them! read more

Caution!! Would not recommend this tree service. Mike and his team met with my elderly parents in May 2026 to discuss tree removal, including stump and debris removal. They said it would be done in a timely manner. They removed my parents fence to begin take down of the tree. They also posted to Facebook telling people to go get the free wood; which my parents were not aware of. Once my parents began to notice strangers on their private property, they found out about the Facebook post. They requested this to be removed, but it did not prevent people from going on the private property which resulted in several altercations. My parents had to put the fence back up themselves and place private property signage. Once the tree was removed, they stopped communicating with my parents. As of August 2026, Mike and his team have not returned to remove the stump. Mike does not answer phone calls or text messages from my parent's phone numbers. They do answer neighbor phone numbers. The most recent update (from a neighbors phone) is that his team does not have a way to grind the stump and they are several jobs behind. He said he will provide an update soon. Will update if this is ever resolved. Update: the stump was dealt with. read more

Absolute worst! Unprofessional, rude, LATE! Didn't clean up after "service"! Had to call another company! DO NOT HIRE THIS "Tree service"!

Left HUGE branches and stumps in my next door neighbors yard and my own yard. These would cost hundreds of dollars to remove. They have said they would pick them up 5x now and I have no faith they will be returning. I'll update this review if you guys ever come. read more

Mike was initially very responsive. He and his team did an excellent job trimming my bushes and trees. They also laid mulch. This was all well done. I had an additional task to put together three cedar planters and never completed it. Had to get another handyman. Most of the work was well done! read more

Wonderful experience with Mike and his crew. He was thorough and had very fair & transparent pricing. I will most certainly be using him again in the future! read more

One again, Mike and his crew came out to trim my tree and make things safer for me and my family after a big snow storm here in Denver. The guys at Vega's are so good. They even found another potential branch that could have caused harm and took care of it. Thank you Mike and your team for your great work today. I appreciate you! Julie read more

Mike was super responsive to my request for a quote . I sent pictures as my time away from work was difficult for a in person quote . Not only were they quick to respond with a remote quote but were able to get me in within 7-10days to get our job done! James his team crew leader was professional and personable when they arrived. I couldn't believe the efficiency of the crew to trim, clean and dispose of our branches! Would highly recommend to anyone in need of a very reasonable quote and less than our other 2 quotes! Nice job to Vega's! read more

I've been using Vega's Tree service for years. Mike and his crew are friendly and do a fantastic job and always clean up behind them. I highly recommend. 10/10 read more

I highly recommend Vega's Tree Service. They arrived on time (even early) and asked me to walk through how I wanted the trees trimmed. I had several large trees that were touching the house, roof, and chimney. Once they began the work, they checked in with me to ensure they had cut the limbs I wanted. They made sure to get all the dead limbs and branches. I asked to keep some of the pine limbs for the chimney and they offered to cut them into logs that would fit in the fireplace. They completed all the work and clean up in just a few hours. Super professional, friendly, attentive, and competitively priced. I will be calling them again in the future. You should too! read more

Gathered several quotes and opinions for trimming my Ash trees -- including assessing removal of one. Mike did a great job of communicating his perspective and educating me on my options, while not being pushy one way or another, and gave me a very competitive quote. They were super patient while I weighed my options for a couple months and then responsive and relatively quick to get the work scheduled when I was ready. Upon starting the work, they were communicative, on time and did a great job -- all while being fairly quick (less than 1/2 a day) and clean (left my yard cleaner than when they came!) I'll definitely be using Vega's Tree Service for future tree needs. read more

Mike showed up on time with his hard working and friendly crew. Excellent tree trimming, removing tree tops, wood chipping for mulch and wonderful clean up. Careful and thoughtful work. Fair pricing, great value. read more

I had 2 trees that needed to be removed and 1 that needed a trim. The removal was a 35-40' Box Elder and the trim was a 45-50' Box Elder in a residential setting. I had 4 quotes for the trees and Mike did something that shocked me; he provided a reasonable quote without having to be haggled down. I've often thought that if someone would just give realistic quotes they would do well in the trades in general; I usually find prices are roughly double what a fair quote is and Mike's quote proved that was true since the other three averaged twice Mike's price. They arrived and did a solid job, worked quickly, and cleaned up reasonably. They are definitely not a touchy-feely crew; came in, took care of business, and left. Mike checked in afterward to find out if any follow-up was necessary. Overall a good experience. read more

If I could give a 0, I would. I hired Vega to do stump removal. Set the attached photo of the end result. It's a complete mess & they've refused to finish the job. My lawn company & landscape company were in complete shock. Said a company should never leave a yard & a half of shavings. The stump was not cut close enough to the ground & overall the work was very unprofessional. They were shocked Vega left it in the current state. Do not use this company! read more

There was a tornado that hit the area recently so a ginormous Aspen tree fell in my backyard. It took a while to hear back from Vega's tree bc of the flood of tree emergencies that happened after the tornado but they did eventually get back to me once they freed up. Their quote was very competitive and they did a great job removing the tree without damaging the deck underneath it, and a good job cleaning up. I will definitely use them again! read more

They were great. I thought the quote was very competitive after shopping around. They were able to get in quickly and did a great job, even with my trees being surrounded by power lines and buildings. Would absolutely use again, should I have trees in the future. read more

Mike was great! The price was very affordable and they were super quick and clean. We will be using them in the future, and recommend them to anyone looking to remove trees. read more

Mike and his crew responded same-day to my calls for an estimate on two dead kg honey locust. I got the estimate within an hour of him leaving and it was scheduled within a day. When his crew was running a bit behind schedule, I got regular updates via text message and had honest and positive experience over all with their service. So far clean up, and expectations have all been great. I am not who posts or leaves many reviews but I would absolutely use Mike and Vegas tree service again! read more

Mike and his team were exceptional and we would happily work with them again. amazing response and service! things are busy now after the snow and wind storms recently, however Vega's tree service was able to get us in in a reasonable window and the quality of work was superb! They were reasonably priced as well, which is a bonus! I cannot think of enough nice things to say about Mike and his crew! read more

Mike and his team did outstanding work on ash, locust, and aspen trees. Good communication, competitive price, friendly, and solid clean up-haul away. They made sure we were happy with all the work prior to finishing. Great experience - we will use Vega's when we next need our large trees pruned and shaped. read more

Mike and the guys at Vega's Tree Service are outstanding. - responded to my Yelp quote request immediately and came out to provide an estimate the next day - great price quote compared to 10 others for the same project - my project was scheduled for 1 week after I accepted their bid - showed up on time and were expertly professional - pruned and shaped my 50+ year old cottonwood tree beyond my expectations, removing vulnerable limbs over house, street, and sidewalk - worksite cleanup was extraordinary... my driveway and front yard are cleaner now than before the project - Vega's Tree Service went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction with their work read more

Vega's Tree Service does not deserve the one star. Out of all the years I have owned a home, this was the worst experience I have ever been through with a contractor. I believe I stopped counting at 5 or 6 no shows or calls during the project, which was to remove one tree and grind an extra stump. During the process, the truck damaged our asphalt. I notified of the damage, and yet again multiple scheduled times for the repair and multiple no shows or calls. I would recommend going with another company as Vega's has no what customer service is. In response: I was NEVER notified via text or email about the 5 to 6 no shows. I had to call and each time there was another excuse as to why the workers didn't show. I have sent a check to the provided address 3 times and the post office has returned all 3 times due to a non current address. At no time did a representative from Vega say they were giving me a discount due to the damages to our asphalt. read more

We had some 28+ year old Aspens that needed to come down. We hired Vega's Tree Service because we had them do some work for us in 2016. Michael and his crew were prompt, professional, fast, super tidy and very reasonable. I can't recommend them highly enough! Having to remove trees is always heartbreaking, but if you need to do it, please give Vega's a call today! read more

Very friendly. Gave me a discount due to them having to reschedule a couple of times. Very easy to work with. Tree looks great after trim. Even helped me pull a stump and took some extras branches off my hands. Highly recommend. read more

Michael and his crew were absolutely fantastic!! Not only did they give us the best bid, they were totally professional in providing their insurance docs and taking care of getting Xcel Energy to bring down their lines, which were tangled in our tree. The tree was a huge, 100 year old cottonwood, so we were sad to have to bring it down, but it posed a hazard for our building and the power lines. It took 3/4 of a day to do the whole job, and the clean-up, and it was worth the payment!! This job was on our commercial property, but I will also be hiring Michael to come trim up the trees in our home! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!! read more

Just had Mike and his team trim 4 very large trees and remove another tree on my property. Mike was very prompt, gave a very reasonable bid and was excellent in communicating scheduling. Trees look great and I highly recommend Mike and Vega's Tree Service! read more

It looks like my story with Vega's Tree Service, is similar to a few others here. On 19 AUG, we scheduled an tree-trimming appointment for 31 AUG. Since I hadn't heard anything after arranging the appointment, I reached out to confirm the day before (30 AUG) by email. I was told they would arrive in the morning and likely be done by noon. Nobody arrived on the day the work was scheduled. By 1:30pm, I sent email, called and texted to find out what's going on and possibly reschedule the job. Before 2pm, I got the text that the morning job was taking longer than expected and that I'd receive a call back in a few hours. (Admittedly, I remain confused about how my job was scheduled for the morning and yet we got held up by another morning job.) Over a week later, I have received no adequate response through my multiple attempts to contact Vega's through text and calls. This includes any real engagement on missing the scheduled date and the poor communications. While I understand stuff happens and things change, it's important that a company stands up and works to make it right. read more

No Call - No Show after taking nearly a week playing phone tag to schedule our appointment. "We forgot to call you yesterday to reschedule" via text is not acceptable when there are so many other tree services in this market. And then you even left me hanging to reschedule after that. Please work on your communication with customers. read more

Great communication, customer service, and work. Vega did significant tree pruning and tree removals at our home. They were cautious to not damage existing trees, mindful of neighbor's property and trees, and completed the work on time. read more

UNRELIABLE!!! Mike never showed up and didn't call after I took time off work. Second appointment the same thing happened. Apparently the tree trimming business must be busy because this company has no care in the world about just blowing customers off. read more

Super fast initial response to schedule quote. On time for quote appointment and provided quote immediately. (Others had to return to their offices and email me their quote.) Selected them based upon both demonstrated knowledge of the work needed as well as their super competitive price. Tree guys arrived on time to do the work, and cleaned up after themselves. Stump grinder also on time, did great work, and cleaned up after himself. Lastly, Mike (one of the owners) was involved the entire time. He came to my home to inspect the work and confirmed that I was pleased with the work. Only after confirming my complete satisfaction did he request payment. Will use them again! read more

I'm posting this because, well, it's laughable and sad on so many levels. On May 22, 2018, I called three different tree services to get estimates for work that needed to be done. The first came that same evening. The second was to come that Friday at 4:30 pm, and the third, who called back on May 24th, scheduled to come that Saturday " after 9 am". The second and third companies stood us up - no phone call, no nothing - so we went with the first company. First company showed up on May 30, as scheduled, and did part of what we wanted ( we are doing it in stages for budget reasons). We are happy with the results. Imagine my surprise when I found this estimate in my mailbox this morning from our Saturday no show. What is even more laughable, and frankly, a bit obscene, is that this estimate is given for a tree that no longer exists. Now, to be fair, there is another maple in the backyard, but do you go off of what you assume is back there? I know you didn't come into my backyard. How is this considered good business? You no showed our appointment, did not bother to call us, ( don't say you lost my phone number because you wrote it on your estimate) and then you have the gall to just give us an estimate on what you think is going on, you couldn't bother to knock on my door and talk to me? Why on earth do you think I would want to do business with you? We are quite happy with the company we chose but hope you learn from this guffaw. read more

Love Vega's tree service. I had tried contacting other companies and not only did these companies charge a fee just to come and look at my tree they were outrageous in price. Vega's got back to me right away. Were very profession. Got the job done and cleaned up very well. They also were careful in taking care of the baby squirrels that I had in my tree. Thanks guys !! You have a client for life. read more

Easy to schedule, great prices, professional and courteous workers. The removed a huge cottonwood and didn't leave any mess. My landlord wanted the stump taken out too so they sub-contracted Stump Removal and Daughter. They left all of the debris from the ground up stump and I now have wood chips spread out over a 15' circle in my yard. I was very happy with the tree removal, hence the good review. Just not happy with the stump part. read more
