Richis was on hand directly after the tornado from a couple of years ago. They helped remove the loads and loads of branches from our lawns. We just had the guys out last week to trim the branches of our very large blue spruce, which was damaged in the tornado. They arrived on time and were a joy to work with. We had a good experience with Richis Tree Service. A large double-trunk tree blew down and was partially lying on the fence between our yard the neighbor's. They gave us a quote on the job a couple days after calling. The amount was about average compared to two other quotes we got. Since they had a lot of work at the time, it took about a week for them to come out but they removed the tree as expected. They did the job pretty quickly (2-1/2 hours) and professionally. We had a really good experience with Richis Tree Service. Our large ash was badly damaged in an early June snowstorm. We also had a smaller dead pine tree that needed to come down. We got (or tried to get) several bids on the work, and everyone was booked up or wouldn't show up or gave us huge quotes. Richis came in $100 more than another tree service, but when we tried to book the other tree service, they said they would put us "on their to-do list" and "should be able to get to us in July." That didn't inspire confidence that they would actually show up, so we reached out to Richis to see if they would match the other company's estimate. They did, and we booked them, putting down a small deposit. Richis was scheduled out pretty far, but at least I knew we were *actually on* the schedule (unlike the other company). On the day of, Nick and Eric arrived and talked with me about what to expect for cutting the damaged branches out of the ash, cutting out some dead growth and pruning it so it would be in good shape going forward. I appreciated that because I didn't want to be surprised about too much of the tree being gone when they were done. They cut down the smaller dead pine and also took out a small broken peach tree branch that I had forgotten about. Nick even asked if he could take down a very small, very dead sapling (we just moved in this spring and the previous owner planted a lot of stuff that didn't make it) because it was making his ash tree look bad. Lol. They also cleaned up well and didn't leave a bunch of sticks and leaves around. You can pay via check, or they email you an invoice to pay with a card or PayPal. This is in addition to a review I did back on July of this year. DO NOT USE THIS TREE SERVICE! I just had another tree service come out and was told that all the work Richi's did was not done professional and half-assed! I now have to go back and spend another $2500 to get all my trees back into a healthy status so they will grow. Rich was supposed to call me back in September (as he did not like my original review) and never did. I have trees that need to come out and those that he did trim they didn't do a good job. The people he has working for him are not Arborists - just guys he picks up and tells them what branch they need to cut. I was told that if I wanted to sue Rich, I have a good case. I called for an appointment to get two trees on the property looked at. They answered straight away and scheduled us for the next day. I thought things were looking good. The next day, although it cleared up by mid afternoon, they called and asked if they could reschedule due to the weather. I thought that was weird, it wasn't lightning or hailing, it wasn't a major weather event like a hurricane or a tornado, it was just raining, and wet. They work outside *newsflash*. At any rate, they said they would stop by the following day after 1 PM. The day came and went, nobody showed up, no phone call. I left message that evening, plus I called the front desk. No answer or response with either. That was at 6:30 PM, their hours say they are open until 7 PM. Fast forward to this morning, I get a message from Jason saying sorry, I had a problem with the crew yesterday but we're definitely going to come by today. No time given, no permission asked if they could even stop by today? This company is presumptuous and flaky. I told the guy, 'don't bother coming by, I'm not interested in working with your company.' I live in the Highlands Ranch/ area and after getting quotes from others arborists I was disappointed when so many of the estimators would not show up at the agreed time, I even gave a few second chances. They all gave me estimates but many would show up the day before without even ringing the doorbell to let me know they were outside. I wouldn't find out until I called to Sl where they were. I even called earlier in the week to confirm the date and time. All of the estimates were close and the reason I chose Richs was because I kept seeing them doing work in my area. The estimator showed up on time. But, understandably the work was postponed due to high winds. They promptly rescheduled me and just like the first time, they called me when they were in their way. Everything from the work to the courteous service was appreciated. I'll gladly use them again and I know my neighbors will be looking for estimates as well. read more

Beware. A pruning was scheduled in October for the day before Thanksgiving. I paid a 10 percent deposit and never heard from Richis again, until 1:30 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving when three men showed up at my door. I said, "No, thanks." The owner has refused to refund the deposit and argued on behalf of a policy that does not provide appointment reminders on the day of the appointment, the day before the appointment, or ever. He said my deposit was sufficient. I don't know (or work with) anyone who does in-home or exterior work that does not remind the occupant in advance. "Failure to communicate." I heard that in a movie once. read more

Showed up for the quote when he said and again for my scheduled service. I have 4 huge fir trees and the crew spent about 3 hours trimming all the dead branches out of them. They cleaned up all the branches and even al lot of the pine needles that had been sitting there for years. They had a chipper to make quick work of them. My experience is that this is a professional, knowledgeable company. The trees look amazing. Price was average and worth it. After doing my research and getting 3 different estimates, I choose Richis Tree service because they are a licensed Tree Contractor. Rich, the owner of this tree service, was great to work with. We had a huge tree close to our house in the back yard. The tree was dying and we were concerned for our house and our neighbors. The tree had large limbs hanging over our house and we had an expensive tile roof that we needed to protect. We needed a large crane 125. Not cheap. Many permits were required. It took months to get all the permits to close our street. Rich worked diligently to prepare for this job. He keep us well informed and then did what did he promised. I haven't used Richis Tree Service for any of my trees; however, I was signed up for a service that connects arborists with people who want free mulch. This way the arborists don't have to pay and drive far to get rid of their mulch and the recipient gets free mulch. I got a delivery from them today and they placed the load exactly where I described and in a manner not to harm any surroundings.
