They drained my pool and did an acid wash, charged me over $300 for "startup chemicals" and assured me the pool would be clean for my tenants but they knew all along that they were going out of business so they stopped sending the pictures with the weekly status reports and started ghosting me when I inquired about why I haven't been receiving the pictures and of course no reply! Against my better judgment and as a gesture of good faith, I prepaid my pool service from September until February so I didn't have to deal with very unreasonable tenants. To my surprise, Johhny and Trinity did not refund the remainder of my prepayment and lied to the new contractor Desi at Pool Medic who to my surprise tried to get me to pay for Dec & January pool service . They seemed like honorable people, but I can't warn you enough to stay away from these people if they ever get back into the pool business again. They ghosted me and then claimed they didn't sell their business to another vendor and to my surprise I got a bill for services that were already prepaid from Pool Medic. Johhny assured me he would send me receipts of the credits to my credit cards but as of today that never happened. Nevada law says 10% upfront only and every time they did work for me they wanted 100% upfront. What a disappointment and betrayal of trust! Karma will get these two!

The pool smart team gave me practical advice on how to do the repair economically, and was even cool with me shopping for parts online. No upsell or up charge pressure at all! It turned out to be a really complicated replacement, due to a lot of difficult job site conditions that weren't expected at the beginning of the job. The pool smart team completed the repair the same day, and everything is working perfectly. Solid choice. Look no further!

Every contractor that came into our yard was knowledgeable, hardworking, and polite. They were available to answer any questions and made sure they cleaned up before they left. We were told that the pool would be completed in 120 days and it was, even with delays because of weather. Once construction started we dealt with Teri, the scheduling manager, and Jon the supervisor who oversaw the construction of the pool and kept us informed of the process from start to finish. Teri is a gem; she schedules all the workers and lets you know when they will be in your yard. She is there to answer any and all questions. Jon is the person that makes everything work. He comes after each step of the pool construction is done and frequently visits to make sure you are up to speed on the process. His job does not end once the pool is complete he continues to visit and make sure you understand the operation and your responsibility as a pool owner. Jon explains everything in detail. A word of caution, whether you use Vintage or another company, make sure before signing the contract that in the plan design that all inspection codes are met or will need to meet in order to pass final inspection. You will then know if you will have additional financial responsibility. Finally as a pool buyer please understand that all the pool builders in the valley are using the same contractors so delays because of weather etc, are inevitable. Be patient. Gary, Teri, and Jon do their best to make sure everything is done in a timely fashion. If you want a great pool at a reasonable price, quality construction, and people who care about you as a client you can not go wrong with Vintage, a class operation.

In my opinion, there was a lack of organization with scheduling, and the project took much longer than I had been led to expect. I also felt that the contract and what was included in the project were not explained as clearly as they should have been. As the project progressed, I was told that certain items I believed were included were not, which created confusion and frustration. I believe a company should be transparent and clearly explain the scope of work, timeline, and any limitations before asking customers to make substantial payments. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Overall, I was disappointed with the communication, organization, and transparency throughout the process. Based on my experience, I would not choose this company again or recommend it to others.

It is always better to be safe. Leave it to the Professionals. Thank You to the Supervisor, Dion, to oversee things for us. Employee turnover is not something that they deal with; I've seen the same technicians for years. We've always been satisfied with their work. Well, they upsized two single 15amp breakers onto a 20amp tandem and put it into a slot that didn't support tandems. The panel door has a diagram showing where tandems are allowed! They did eventually come out and install a 15amp tandem in the right spot, but it took weeks of pestering my pool builder to get the electricians to even contact me. - I paid for a 50amp panel for future additional use vs. the 30amp standard. They ran 8 gauge copper for the 173' run. Similar installations call for 6 gauge at that length due to voltage drop being outside of NEC standards. After weeks of unanswered questions they showed the wire is rated for 50amps, but have not produced a voltage drop calculation that I've asked several times from two levels of management over 2+ months to prove that I can actually use the future capacity upgrade I paid for. Based on my experience, I will not use Murphy Electric again and would not recommend them to others.

We moved into a house with a dinosaur level of old hot tub, something was found to not work in inspection and the old owners had someone "fix it" through their warranty. They did not fix it, at all. That's a whole other story I'll spare you. It was later mostly fixed. Then everything started falling apart after we got our own warranty, and the company we found who were also great sold it and closed up shop. Recently I went to clean the spa to refill it, and noticed it was literally falling apart. I had to stop cleaning it as I couldn't, so I jumped on here to try and find help, most responses I got said they weren't taking on new clients. Enter DJ and amber. Heaven sent magical beings. DJ gave me a fair estimate to replaster and paint it, came back maybe 6 times in 2 weeks to get it all done, was beyond responsive, hilarious, fun, my doggie loves him, and he's the type of guy I'd 110% be friends with. I was away while he finished fixing it up, and got endless updates in text and picture form and appreciated it more than I could express. I recently got home and found out the company sent by the warranty to fix the heater and the pump did neither of them. So I called DJ and he said he'd be over in 20 minutes to take a look. This guy is my hero, and though the issues are still bad and we're still getting bs runaround responses from companies, I feel safer and better knowing that when it comes down to it he'll make sure everything gets done. After being screwed over and burned by so many contractors over the years, it's so incredible to find someone who goes beyond above and beyond to get the jobs done. I don't ever wanna use another company as long as I have a pool or spa in my yard in Vegas.

The original review is still in place The updated review is from 2 years past. It was updated last week because not only were there more issues, but friend in the valley had a similar experience recently. Todays update is to post 7 new photos of current state of plaster (we're having it re-done by a quality company) There are many, many negative reviews of this company. Reviews supported by two investigators to the first complaint's to the Contractors Board. When the second investigator retired, the man who took over was very clearly buddies with the manager of Nationwide, as the investigation swung 180 degrees from what the previous two contractor investigators found and required. Happy to start posting those letters from the Contractors Board if Nationwide wants to go down that particular path. We got crap work. We were threatened in our backyard, wife and I. Owner specifically claimed over and over "We didn't contract for, and didn't touch your lighting system." Except there are several photos of their employee installing the lights. There is a video of him installing the lights. Photos don't lie. The pool is already dropping chunks of plaster. The two companies who came to bid repair, both commented on the shoddy replastering job (four times re-done in our spa, which now has a .75 gap in the plaster/tile job because it was so shoddy. So for those still reading, look at the photos taken this morning of the pool. Hire these people, and expect your pool to look like this in less than 3 years. Plaster flaking, cracks all over the place, rough surfaces to cut your skin, hard to scrub dirt from the rough, improperly finished plaster. Two state contractor inspectors found the pool to be a mess. I wish I could prove my belief the third inspector after the other two older men retired, was either paid, or somehow compensated by Nationwide. It was clear they were friends with each other. Sh** happens when building anything. During covid, materials were and are still hard to come by. I have read the reviews here and can only say they are typical of what you you would see from LVPS. Both the good and the bad reviews. With that said, the bottom line is, the pool turned out 100% our dream pool. Did the work get done as quick as we wanted? No! Were there issue with material and getting it done within the contract time? Yes ofcourse. Did the pool sit with nothing being done? Yes, I did. Almost 2 month. But, that was supply chain issues and out if their hands and beyond their control. I whined, I called, I bitched and at 1 point got into a verbal and heated argument with Damon over it. Building a pool sucks. You backyard is a complete mess. There's trash everywhere, and it is literally a construction zone. All you want is to see progress so you can enjoy and go back to your normal life with your brand new pool. I hated it and I hated dealing with Damon. I hated calling him and I hated when he didn't answer. He'll, I hated it when he did answer. We had multiple issues, all the way to final inspection. But. Damon came through in the end. He built our dream pool and he did it cheaper than any other company would have done. We know this because we did our homework just like you are doing or did. Not only that, but the quality of everything is top of the line. He did NOT skimp on anything. We have the best system, all state if the art equipment and we, in the end our 100% happy. I refer everyone to LVPS. We've had our pool in for 6 months now,, and I can still text or call Damon for anything with my pool. I've never owned a pool before so I had questions with operating and other issue,, and hes alway answered. Try that with Sylvan Pools.. Here's the deal. If you want your hand held throughout this process if building your dream pool, go to the big guys. You will certainly pay for the hand holding somewhere in the price. That's why they can afford customer service project managers. They will answer their phones for you, talk nice, and tell you everything is gonna be fine. But they will face the same challenges as Damon with material and with their subs. The only difference is they will be there to "baby" you through the process. If you can tough it out and get through this without having to be pampered, I will recommend Damon and LVPS. They did it right! Thank you Damon.

Over the last couple years they repaired my heater when 4 other companies tried to upsell insisting the heater needed replacement they installed 2 pool lights that 2 other companies told me I bought the wrong lights and they couldn't be used And the latest repair, I thought my water pump was toast. Spoke briefly to the repair manager Jim and he advised it's probably just a capacitor that needs to be replaced and not the pump. Sure enough, he WAS RIGHT. I guarantee you most companies would take the easy way out and upsell a new pump for what I'm sure would've meant spending 5-10 times what I wound up paying. These guys are the REAL DEAL I wish they did home repairs too - it's so dang hard to find reasonably priced, responsive and honest repair people these days. It's nice to know I found one for my pool
