I came here to try their vegan burgers and they did not disappoint! Their fries and nachos were also great! The girl who helped he was super friendly. There is a decent amount of inside seating. I would definitely return!

I left a review at Plant Base but this is the other restaurant in the Vegan Junkies Club. The location seemed like it was in a more residential area from the popular/touristy areas of Lisbon (near all the various squares). This place was awesome. It was music-themed so all the drinks came out on a record-shaped menu and all the burgers and drinks were named after songs and artists. The menu itself was on a record sleeve which was pretty cool too. I ordered one of the burgers and my husband ordered their vegan shawarma. When I tell you this food was some of the best food I've had, I am not lying! The service was so wonderful, and the food was perfection. I'm so glad we were able to eat here and I hope i can go back to and have it again!

My daughters and I really enjoyed eating here when we were in Lisbon. The music themed menu and decor was so cool. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Not crowded at all when we went on a Tuesday evening.

After a very long day of exploring Lisbon and visiting the Oceanário de Lisboa, we ended up walking by Vegan Junkies. We already new it was a top rated vegan restaurant in Lisbon so we stopped in for a late night bite. So glad we did. This place is so hipster and so cool. The menu is printed on a vinyl LP jacket, complete with the LP. Upon entering we were greeted by super friendly staff who was more than helpful in making a few menu suggestions. I started with an A.M.O. Porter and the Ring of Fire - onion rings with spicy BBQ sauce, sriracha mayo and chipotle mayo and completed my meal with Notorious B.I.G. It was a Vegan Junkie (VJ) patty, sriracha mayo, lettuce, caramelized onions, tomato, cheddar cheese on a red onion bun. Everything was amazing. The burger is one of the best vegan burger patties, it's like a smash burger, way better than the 'Impossible' brand of meats. The spice level definitely could be amped up for me, but it's probably good for the masses. Not a negative though. Can't wait till I'm back in the neighborhood.

For Lisbon, this restaurant is somewhat expensive. But as someone who is used to New York City prices, a 15 euro burger seems reasonable. Just to keep in mind! But I LOVED this burger. Perhaps it was because I had been starving, but this burger was incredibly tasty. The bbq sauce was an excellent (and unexpected) highlight to the dish.

Stopped here for lunch one day on our recent travels to Lisbon and the food was so good we had to come back the next night. The ambiance is quaint and funky. The waitstaff were all so nice and happy, something that lagged at some other places in the city. The cheese balls are a must!! The nachos were served cold so a bit different than hot nachos we were use to. The Notorious BIG double is one of the best vegan burgers we've ever had. Could actually be the best to be honest. Thanks Vegan Junkies. You were kind.

As I continue to slowly get through the large list of review drafts I wrote when I was in Portugal,…read moreat this point, a bit over 3 months ago, in no particular order... this was one of two places that ended up on my list of places I had to try a famous bifana sandwich when I was in Lisbon, the other being O Trevo the next day. To both of them equally I say, there are very few places I'd be willing to stand in line for an hour for, and few of them involve meat on bread. Luckily, being the off-season, I didn't have *any* wait to order a sandwich. Unluckily, being the off season, that's also because it kept raining off and on, and this is a strictly take-out affair. So I ended up eating the sandwich under a nearby awning. In nicer weather conditions, though, there are plenty of nearby benches to sit on right there. Would i wait in a long line? I would not. But it was a legitimately great sandwich, great fluffy bread, great cheese if you splurge on cheese (as of a couple months ago, they were 3.5 euro without cheese, 5.5 with cheese), and solid, juicy, meaty meat, even if I do *personally* prefer the thin-sliced version like the other place I went, did. For how filling they are, that'd make them pretty darn affordable, if you don't add cheese, which I would probably keep doing anyway if I lived here, I'd just go when it was the off-season and not busy, *and* not raining*. At least as of when I was there, being a takeout place, they didn't have much in the way of drinks, but there was an unrelated business in the next alcove over selling cheap large glasses of beer and large blended fruity pineapple drinks. p.s. Make sure to absolutely douse your sandwich in mustard and chili oil, if you like spicy food like I do. They're self-serve, and great.

Two years running this was our favorite bifana…read more Location was a bit challenging as only the door leading into the restaurant was for locals while the window on the other side served all others. The challenge was the limited sidewalk in front and the lines extend across the street. People don't always realize they're standing in the middle of a street until they get honked at by a car. Menu was posted on the left behind the window. Plain and with cheese bifanas topped the menu but there were other choices as well like carne asada, egg and fish. Cash was the only tender accepted. The pork in the bifanas was constantly simmered and pulled out to make each sandwich individually. The bread was chibatta like and quite soft that enveloped the strips of pork. I added piri piri aauce and yellow mustard (big squirt bottles available on the counters to each side of the window) which gave it more flavor. A simple but great local sandwich. To avoid lines come at odd hours. I also came a little after lunch hour in moderate rain and there was just one person ahead of me.

There were no customers when we walked in so the woman behind the counter served us right away. She explained what was on each pizza before we ordered. The nice thing about the slices is they are cut with scissors and then weighed on a scale. Not like your typical slice spot in the US. My mom ordered white pizza with mushrooms and I ordered tomato pie. Both were tasty but I enjoyed the mushroom one more because it was slightly saltier. I washed everything down with a San Pellegrino sparkling water. For two pizza varieties, a sparkling water and a beer, it was around 13,50€. It was filling enough to last us until dinner time. We received great service and there are plentiful pizza varieties. Would recommend if you're in downtown Lisbon!

The decor is nice and there is a respectable variety of pizzas to choose from. Price for a slice is by weight, so choose your size wisely! After ordering they toss the pizza in the oven to heat before serving. Funghi - a simple take on mushroom pizza. Overall it was flavorful, but nothing spectacular. I couldn't tell exactly how fresh it was- but definitely not the same as a slice from a shop in Italy. They could have let it stay in the oven longer and at a higher temperature to get the crust crispier. Overall not bad, but not great either. Recommended if you're looking to stop for something quick and simple.
