I wanted something different than the usual food that's served at Vietnamese parties/gatherings. This was the answer (but you still gotta have some Vietnamese food)! On site catering. Viet, from the start, was professional and helpful making it easier for me to make my decisions. He has a lot of options to chose from but we were able to pick the right combo of food to pair with the other Vietnamese food. He and his staff are friendly and cordial making the guests feel at home. They provide everything so you don't have to. I had the brisket, pulled pork and grilled chicken. The chicken is grilled on site while the others were prepared beforehand. If you know brisket, it takes 8-10 hours to smoke, if done right. So moist and flavorful. My guests were happy and enjoyed the food selection. I would recommend Viet and his catering service. What an amazing spread by Veez! I have been pretty good about sticking to my diet and portion control recently but all that went out the window when I saw how juicy and tender the brisket looked as he sliced through the perfectly formed bark and exposed the delicate pink ring just beneath the surface. I indulged in a heaping portion of mac n cheese, baked beans with burnt ends mixed in, pulled pork, ribs, and the amazing brisket. To both my pleasure and dismay, he kept bringing out brisket after brisket before the tray was emptied and so though i was full, i had to keep refilling my plate - each was as good as the first. FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY!! Veez on the Beach catered the Grand Opening for my laundromat in Huntington Beach. First the food: I cannot say enough, the food is delicious and once you have it, you'll crave it til you have it again. Viet applies a Vietnamese twist on American classics. So what you end up with is familiar food with a renewed flavor. And that wouldn't be as impressive, if it weren't for the quality of the ingredients that Viet obsesses about. But Second, the Man: my Grand Opening was Veez on the Beach very first event. So before Viet could even wow me with his food, he blew me away with his effort. This man, quit his day job so he could start this business and feed us something new and special. Next, he learned (very quickly) just what it means to start a business in California, let alone a food service business. He worked tirelessly to get all of his permits, equipment, permissions, certifications, then the food, in time for my grand opening. (He jumped out of the plane, THEN he figured out how to make a parachute.) I made sure to let him promote himself at my event, and own the store front while I owned the overall event. He deserved that. And everyone loved him and he's been riding the wave of word-of-mouth ever since, and he should!! I'd highly recommend Veez on the Beach for any event. I can't emphasize on how yummy it was: super tender and juicy! It has a house made bbq sauce you can dip to your preference and the sauce itself is pretty freakin bomb. I didn't even get to the other sides and food such as the baby back ribs that had a tinge of Asian seasonings and the Mac and cheese; both which were really good as well.
