I'm so glad I got to dine here. I follow The Art of Plating and one of the plates from Vea was featured. It was an edible lake; a lake put together food. I told myself I must go to Vea. After a few failed attempts from eating too much street foods and gotten sick, I finally paid a visit and that experience was spectacular. Our seats were at the bar, so we got a nice view of the kitchen and the beverage bar. There was a moment when there were 6 people working on a number of the same dishes, their movements were so swift, they looked like the thousand arm Guan Yin from afar. Anyway, the bar was set with various snacks. The tasting menu is pretty much the life of Chef Vicky, he incorporated many of his childhood eats with a French cuisine outtake. Growing up with a lot of the similar dishes/culture, it was a touching meal for me. For those who never really grow up with Cantonese food/ingredients, it is definitely an educational dining experience. The most interesting part is that some of the ingredients used were based on some homely dishes for the commoner, yet it's now presented in fine dining. Aside from the standard menu, they do have cocktail pairing or you can order drinks by the glass. One of the dishes, Taiyouran egg, could be substituted for fish maw or truffle pasta at additional cost. The food here is great for the eyes and for the tongue. Take your love ones, take yourself. Just do yourself a favor and pay a visit.

Pure WOW! VEA is now my favorite restaurant. It is a great combination of East and West element and the outcome is so fabulous! The dishes are so good looking and I could tell the chef put a lot of effort in designing them making them not only taste good but also look good! I would definitely come back in some time when the menu renew. Can't wait!

Visited hong kong early January, and decided to spend my last dinner at this place. It turned out to be disaster. Totally ruined my night. The food is really surprising and tasty, and I really like the idea of all the Hongkong elements in the food. However, when I got my third dish, langoustine, I found a freaking piece of plastic hiding under my food. When I found out I was already half way. I called the manager, he seems freaked out, well, they took my dish away. WITHOUT EXPLAINING WTF THAT IS. And came back after around 20 mins and be like "oh we are so sorry, do you want some wine". I said no because I was so pissed and I want to know what I was eating. And if it's going to do anything to my body. They didn't say anything about it, instead of face the mistake they made and explain to the customer, they was trying to give some wine and get rid of trouble. Definitely can do better, that experience really sucks. BLAHHHHHHHH Respect your customer VEA

I cannot sing enough praises about this place. Let's start with the food - I don't use this word lightly and I've been to 70+ michelin-star restaurants all over the world - the dishes at Vea truly are inventive. The common theme is quintessential Hong Kong ingredients paired with French cooking techniques - some of the most memorable are Taiwanese tomatoes with ikura and firefly squid, threadfin with fermented cabbage, wagyu short rib, and the mango dessert with peanut candies sprinkled on top. Our tastebuds are constantly delighted by the surprising flavors that come from mixing up familiar ingredients in unfamiliar ways; our sights are met with creative use of apparatus, many of which instill a sense of nostalgia especially for those who grew up in HK. Highly recommend trying a few of the cocktails or getting the cocktail pairing. The service is impeccable. We immediately felt great energy from both the front-of-house and kitchen staff upon entering the space. A young gentleman took care of us the entire evening - he was warm, humorous and detail-oriented. Once, we were wondering amongst ourselves what a particular dish we witnessed being made was (counter seats enable you to be in close proximity with the culinary process), he immediately informed the chef to make us each a bite so we got to taste it (it was a replacement dish for those who're allergic to seafood). This is THE restaurant I'd recommend to friends who're visiting HK (restaurants such as Amber are delicious too but def not as inventive and representational of HK as Vea). Personally, I cannot wait to come back again.

VEA just soft opened a few weeks ago. Grand opening to come this week! Their food and drinks are innovative and delicious. The staff are phenomenal. Modi, manage, knows how to manager the staff as well as provide excellent service to customers. Must gets - their two desserts, extremely delicious. Pineapple bun with caramel butter (say what?!?), Caramel ice cream sandwich (yumm), Truffle fries (who doesn't like truffle fries?!?! yes, go get some now). The ambiance is elegant and cozy since the lounge is quite spacious. You also get a view of Sheung Wan and the harbour is you stop to their thin (yes, thin - you'll understand when you go!) terrace.

Chef was originally from Liberty Private Works. My first time to go and visit VEA after he works here. Other than normal wine pairing, they now have cocktail pairing. I must admit cocktails is better than Wine in term of pairing. I think food quality was not as impressed compared to the time when I ate in Liberty private work. But still worth to go for a try with all surprises with cocktails pairing! Tips: advanced reservation is recommended and always try to ask for Bar seating.

My husband and I went with pretty high expectations, and honestly, it didn't quite live up to the hype. Now let me be clear, the views? Absolutely unmatched. The panoramic city and harbor views are what truly make this place special. And aesthetically, it's definitely Instagram-worthy. But outside of the scenery, everything else fell a bit short. The food and drinks were pretty basic, especially for a spot with such a luxe reputation. One thing I did appreciate was the service and hospitality. It was my husband's birthday, and they kindly gave both of us complimentary shots that tasted like wine, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, I'd say come for the views and experience, but maybe lower your expectations when it comes to the food and cocktails.

Attended on NYE 2024 entering 2025 the experience can largely be summed up as a disappointing money-grab with food no better than an AYCE buffet and service that was frankly dreadful. First, the booking process was laborious and error-filled despite staying at The Ritz-Carlton. Second, on arrival we were tucked in the back and largely ignored despite a costly "bottomless" champagne package. Third, servers were overworked and sparse, with the lone entree so protracted that we were told Dessert Buffet was going to close before savories even arrived. Finally, forced to leave mere seconds after finishing, we opted against remaining for fireworks. Ozone's apology was to come back for a free drink sometime...from America. Seemingly a partnership, as the Hotel and Bar refer to one another as separate entities, The Ritz-Carlton did try to make up for all this with a free bottle of Champagne delivered to the room but at $450USD for lousy food and dreadful service Ozone is an embarrassment to the Ritz-Carlton Brand.

We decided to check out The Sky Bar. It is located on the 13th floor, and overlooks other restaurants and shops within the mall. So, don't expect an actual "sky" view. The Sky Bar offers a variety of cocktails and mocktails, but limited beers and wines for their All You Can Drink menu. However, it is still a steal! I ordered all of their cocktails, and my favorite was the Nothing (vodka, coconut liqueur, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, lemon juice). My boyfriend ordered rounds of their beer and wine, which were okay. We also ordered the Crispy Calamari Rings with Wasabi Mayo to go with our beverages. Again, it was just okay. It did the job, but nothing spectacular or memorable. I wouldn't recommend it. Lastly, service was extremely slow, especially for having no other customers in the restaurant. It was a bit frustrating consistently trying to find staff members. By no means is this a go-to place, but if you are already in the area and want a place to sit and chill, The Sky Bar is an option, especially for their All You Can Drink menu.

It's not a good place for pre-drinks before hitting LKF, nor is it good for a late drinking night as I live on Hong Kong Island. However, spending a night with wide varieties of wine and unlimited cheese sounds good to me. Every Wednesday, WOOBAR has an incredibly good deal priced at $278 per person, including free flow of wine and cheese from 8pm to 10:30pm. You can choose from rosé, white, red, sparkling and more. I usually start my night with a glass of sparkling rosé, which is sweet and appetizing. I like having my wine with nibbles from their cheese and charcuterie selections. My favorite section has to be the fondue table, featuring a warm, aromatic pot of cheese and toasted bread cubes on the side. I could drown in the pool of cheese. Fancy a boozy Wednesday?
