The pizza was okay. The crust is very crunchy and light but the green peppers were raw and the onion was soggy. The cut of the onion was the size of a lemon wedge. The cheese was cooked to perfection but something felt like it was missing in the pizza , a little bit on the bland side. read more

I've ordered delivery from here a few times simply due to the affordability and delivery time in comparison to other restaurants that serve pasta. The food is decent, it's fresh and has good flavors. It's nothing special though. I have enjoyed every meal I've had from there. For a $13 pasta dish you get a good amount, I typically save the rest for the next day. First impression : GREAT!!! Megan the bartender was so welcoming and funny , and that is what you need when you go places . The food : food was very good , we had the mozzarella Buffalo salad and that was just amazing . The salmon was accompanied with vegetables and truffled fries . And the smoked house burger was perfectly cooked . The decor is nice , however the seats by the wall could use a little care . Overall was a good experience , the only thing I didn't like much was the smell from the pizzeria next door . That was a bit to strong , they need a better exhaust/fan system . We wanted to go to the restaurant but I called and they don't have outdoor seating. And the host who answered the phone gave me an attitude about it. Because of the pandemic we don't feel comfortable eating inside. We ended up ordered delivery. The woman who took my delivery order also had an attitude. Delivery came quickly in 40 min. We ordered a personal joes special and penne alla vodka. The pizza was small, def personal. Expensive at 15 dollars. Othe pizza places we tried have bigger personal pizzas from 10-13 dollars. Also the description of this pizza is different depending if you look at the pizza menu or the restaurant menu. On the restaurant menu it also adds fresh basil and olive oil. Also no mention of it being a white pie. The pizza menu had the accurate description I found out. And I didn't see that menu when I ordered. So I was disappointed. I ended up adding fresh herbs myself to it! The penne alla vodka is 14 dollars. 2 people can share but it wasn't as big as I thought for the price. It's literally just pasta and sauce. Nothing special. There are much better italian places around. I suggest trying rustique pizza or krispy pizza instead. read more

They have littered the entire neighborhood with handbills on cars, not only disrespectful of the neighbors, but also causing a lot of litter in the streets and direct a violation of municipal code. Worst pizza place ever, I'd give minus stars if I could. We live in the apartment above this place and walked by it every day, finally decided to try when we got a coupon ($5 off for $35). I was going to order online first but the coupon didn't have any code so I had no choice but to call to place the order. We were put on hold for three minutes then ordered two personal sized pizzas and buffalo chicken tender, and informed her about the coupon (she said she will take off when we pick up the order). My husband went to pick up without any clue, he said the receipt was already printed and paid with cash. But when I looked carefully in the receipt - they still didn't take off credit card fee, nor $5 coupon, and charged 20% tip for pick up order. The only nice thing was that the portions were big, but that doesn't matter because food was so bad we didn't even finish half. Pizzas are flavorless (two pizzas tasted almost identical), chicken tenders were like sponge and fries were soggy (it could fold in half no problem lol) For this price there are so so many options in the neighborhood that this place cannot even compare to. I wish I donated this $45 for something meaningful. I would never ever go back, but if you do, I recommend to double check the bill. read more

I recently came here for happy hour, and i have to say i loved it. Parking sucks, i tried to find the correct garage to park in for free, but failed. However, the bar itself was clean and our server was very friendly and quick to serve us drinks. the drink and food specials are totally worth coming here. $3 shots? $3 beers? sign me up! theres also mixed drinks for $5. where this place fails, is the lack of good beer. there aint nothing special about their beer selections. its bare bones. onto the food....so the happy hour menu for food is a killer too. everything was very affordable. we grabbed the rice balls. which to be honest, i was pleasantly surprised by. they were pretty good! no meat inside of them either, i love that! very cheesy! the fried buffalo cauliflower wasnt that great. it was mostly batter, didnt feel like cauliflower, but as a bar snack? they worked. theyre cheap and tasty, but i wouldnt consider them buffalo cauliflower.the pretzel bites really grew on me. they remind me of going to the movies when i was a kid. again, these arent exactly michelin star pretzel bites, but for the price, i think theyre great for a bar snack. i will gladly come back because the service was good, and the happy hour was awesome! read more

We made a reservation here on a Friday night for 6:30 (party of 4). It was recommended to us by staff from the hotel in which we were staying. We arrived a little before 6:30 and were seated immediately. It appeared that there was only a host, a bartender, and two servers for the whole restaurant. It took about 15 minutes to even get a water. We ordered drinks (took another 5-10 minutes) and food (another 20-30 minutes). I had an old fashioned. It was average. My wife ordered iced tea. I didn't know that sweet tea was a thing on the East coast (at least I certainly did not expect this north of Virginia)... in any case, her tea was the sweetest/icky sweet tea I've had anywhere other than the south. Apparently they don't even have regular tea. You should really warn someone about that hah! The food was pretty good. I had the vegetarian pasta dish and she had the mushroom pizza (with truffle oil) and it was yummy. Our other family members also liked their food. I would give this place more stars if it weren't for the weird tea and the slow service (I think they're also affected by staffing shortages--but just apologize and say so instead of pretending everything is normal). Food = 4.5 stars Drinks = 2 stars Service = 2 stars Atmosphere = 4 stars I would give it another chance in the future, but order out instead. read more

I've been visiting VB3 a lot lately and that is because of their Wild Mushroom Pizza! This review is based off of visiting for Hudson Restaurant Week on 7/29/19. Ambiance: This place has a sportsbar-ish, lounge feel, which it is so they hit the nail on the head. There is a full bar in the middle with a couple of tables surrounding the restaurant. There's TV's in most areas too. Food: Calamari, great. But the wild mushroom pizza, AMAZING. I get the personal pan pizza every single time I visit. It's something that I cannot sit here and describe all day you have to go try it yourself I promise it will not disappoint. If you like truffle cheese, crispy crust and sauteed mushrooms this pizza is for you. The Hudson Restaurant Week special was one appetizer, one entree and one salad for $29. Price: Typical JC prices. Nothing too crazy, reasonable. Parking: They have a free parking lot right on the same street which is a blessing since parking in Jersey City is absolutely crazy at times! Every time I order from here there is a problem - but today took the cake! Uber eats allows you to order toppings they don't actually sell in the store. So they tell my delivery person to message me to so we need to order a personal pie with that topping. And sent them with no pizza and didn't bother to refund the $22 they charged for 2 slices! (One would think that's be enough to put the topping on a personal pie. Then the cheesesteak I ordered comes without cheese....and all of the toppings I said NO to were put on the sandwich and the one I wanted not - so clearly they are not reading comprehensively. Stopped by VB3 for lunch after hearing great things about their pizza. My boyfriend and I were greeted by a friendly staff, who were wearing masks, and were immediately sat at our table. To start off, we ordered an appetizer of Mozzarella Sticks and I went with the Arugula Salad (Baby Arugula Tossed with Tomatoes, Red Onions, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Lemon Dressing). The mozzarella sticks were delicious & crispy and my arugula salad was fresh and packed with flavor. I would definitely recommend it! For my main dish, I went with the White Pizza (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Roasted Garlic, Sea Salt, Olive Oil, Fresh Parsley) and my boyfriend got the Classic Cheese Pizza (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Fresh Oregano). Once cold, the pizza becomes very chewy so I recommend you eat it hot! 1. Large Pizza with tomato purée, jalapeños and black olives - probably my favourite pizza here! The crust is thin and crisp! Purée is good and the toppings are in abundant proportion 2. White pizza - I generally do not prefer a white pizza but to my utter surprise, this pizza is delicious. The ricotta is fresh and creamy. However it doesn't make the pizza too creamy to not want to have another slice. The taste of fresh garlic and parsley balance the creamy texture but do not over power the cheese. Must order here! 3. Large pizza with green pepper and olives - this pizza is nice. A regular thin crust with abundant olive oil, a crisp crust and peppers. 4 garlic knots - probably a miss. Now known as VB3 and sometimes called VB Average. The Margherita pizza is decent, and the pepperoni slice is only average at best. This place doesn't represent Jersey as it's only average at best. I would recommend heading down about 5 minutes to Hoboken for some great pizza! The Sports bar is now a speak easy hidden club, with the entrance being the window counter for ordering pizza. You can't miss this place at night as you will see 1 to 2 extremely large Doormen at the counter checking id's! Everyone is very nice at this place, it's just that the pizza isn'/..t anything special. Yes, its better than Dominos, Papa Johns, and Pizza Hut, but that isn't saying much. read more

Sooo came here a couple of weeks ago to watch the Erroll Spence and mikey Garcia fight after finding this location on YELP of course and it was pretty chill ... it got a little busy as the main event came on and it didnt help that my server had about ten table it looked like. That's good for her but sucky for us , a few of my condiment request got lost in the sauce no pun intended ,but other than that the food was my issue ... we tired the wings , calamari that I really wanted to love because it had fried peppers inside YUM but it was really fried to death times two . The remake that came out was much better just bland , but my highlight was the clam pasta . Finally so satisfied with a pizza place in Jersey City. We ordered from them for a small gathering yesterday and the staff was so nice on the phone!! We have had couple subs from there before and thought were good size and delicious too. We ordered a buffalo chicken, wild mushroom and joes special large pizzas and although all three were delicious, joes special was on point! The ease of this restaurant being right next door to us and the food so far so good, I happy to call this our new go to spot! Can't wait to try more :) read more

When you walk in it is a really cool modern vibe with a Nice size squared bar and seating all around it. It was an intimate place with dim lighting and decorative colored lights in the bar area. It was very inviting visually. There are a lot of tvs all around you. Sat down and the bartender Stephanie was really cool very friendly. She was very helpful with the menu. Me and my friend had drinks there about $10-14 for a drink there depends on what u get. I had to hold back on the drinks. Lol. We ordered the General tso, and also the roasted chicken wings. $10 for about 7 wings little pricey but they were packed with amazing flavor. The General Tso sauce tasted better then the General Tso at a Chinese delivery they also sprinkled sesame seeds and scallions on top of the General Tso wings. The roasted wings were just as good in its own way I ordered the wings with hot sauce on the side I didn't even need that. The roasted wings came with some sautéed onions and blue cheese I'm not a fan of blue cheese but I loved the onions I ate them with the chicken and it was a really good bite. So good would definitely come back for the wings We also ordered the margarita pizza and the mushroom truffle pizza. The pizza is very thin and air crust. Let's start off with the margarita pizza. It was a decent pizza the sauce was on the bitter side I make my own sauce and like it more balanced it's just a preference of mine. The mozzarella was really good. Wasn't my favorite pie but it was good. The mushroom truffle pizza was right up my alley. When it came out you smelt the aroma of white truffle oil. I tell you truffle oil has a special place in my heart. This pie if u are a truffle person will make you so happy. Decent food at this place. The bread is A+ just the way I like. Just the right amount of crust and fluffy inside. The rigatoni bolognese was well done. It was very meaty, not runny, and generously cheesed. What would have made it better for my taste would be less tomato paste flavor and a touch more garlic. In need of a quick lunch our hotel referred us to this place. It has a bit of an odd name but we found it as it was just around the corner from the Doubletree. This review is for the take out and delivery side. We walked in and got a couple of slices of pizza. Mine was the Sicilian which had been a long time since I had one. They reheat in the pizza ovens for you. In the meantime you can get your drinks from the refrigerator unit and pay the cashier. We got a nice table outside I faced towards the cashier so I could see when my pizza was ready. Very quick turn around time. The Sicilian really hit the spot. There is something about Jersey pizza that cannot be duplicated at home in South Florida. One slice with a cold Coca Cola really hit the spot, delicious. Not too heavy or greasy which was great as we had a full afternoon of appointments to get to. Next time my travels take me to Jersey City I will definitely come back here. read more
