VASA is a beautiful, clean and well-managed venue. We had our son's Bar Mitzvah and all was perfect. Martha, Ivan and all staff were a pleasure to work with. Security, our bartender and all staff were excellent and very attentive . Everything was clean, well groomed and on-point. If you are on the fence about choosing a venue, no need to think about it as VASA is the experience you want. This venue has it all for any event and that was convenient and helpful for us from catering, DJ, Security, Bartender, waiters etc. We had a photo booth, Caricature artist and Robot join us for our party and VASA made it possible. If I could give VASA 20 stars I would . Martha and Valerie are amazing. Their customer service, impeccable. We were supposed to have my nieces quinceañera May of 2020, unfortunately due to Covid we had to change the event to last weekend. Martha and Valerie made sure everything was perfect for the special day. I can honestly say that everything they did exceeded our expectations. The venue looked amazing. It looked very elegant and beautiful. They were both present the day of the event and made sure that everything ran smoothly. From the music to the food to the last minute of the waltz. Do not work with this business. We reserved this venue for our wedding reception. They had to postpone due to COVID, so we pushed the date out by 1 year. One year later, they were still unable to host our reception, so we decided to cancel our original plan and have a small wedding at home. They refused to give us any of our deposit back, which totaled $7,000. They refused our calls and completely ghosted us. Their business used to be called Factory of Dreams. But during COVID, they changed their name to Vasa to avoid honoring their contracts. I had the honor of being my best friends maid of honor for her wedding. My friend had a very easy time coordinating the event with the wedding coordinators at the venue. One thing that is nice about the venue is that it includes the DJ, photo booth station, and a outdoor ceremony space. We dropped off all her decorations and guest book the night before. When we came to the venue it was all set up for us. We moved a few things but other than that it was perfect. They also provided most of the larger decorations and all the table settings. It was the exact style my girlfriend wanted, crystal chandeliers all around the ceiling. A very pretty sweet heart table with a tufted white couch. The center pieces had beautiful fake flowers with hanging crystals. The table clothes and chair covers really matched her theme. The dance floor lights up which was a very nice touch. It was very nice have a private dressing room. The staff kept it locked, so we kept all our bags and gifts there until we could take it home. It has seating and a nice vanity for touch ups. If you are planning outfit changes, it's the perfect room for a quick dress change. There are also two separate restrooms for men and women with plenty of stalls. I did like the monitors they had around with pictures of the couples on a slide show. Food they had an option of buffet or plated. They decided on plated meals. We started off with a great pear salad. Then the main dish was chicken and beef with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Food was good, the salad was a hit. Everyone enjoyed the dressing on the salad. A great bar area, they allowed them to bring in their own alcohol. The bride even had enough room to set up a dessert table. The "cake" was beautiful, then I realized it was fake! LOL but it was perfect because they saved so much on a fancy cake that would get destroyed! It was fake cake for display but the actual slices of cake were very tasty it was mango. Not too sweet just enough. They even attached her custom cake toppers. Coordinators were very nice, they kept the bride and groom a strict time line. Which was great because we got all the important things completed on time. Like photos with each table, speeches, cake cutting, bouquet toss and the first dance. We didn't do a rehearsal so we had to learn the order right before we walked out. But the coordinators got us in order quickly. Only complaint, was the ceremony walk out. The DJ didn't have the brides song ready for her to walk down the aisle. She was standing at the doorway for like 5 mins with her dad while they struggled to find the song. I wished they kept her hidden until the song was ready. The microphone wasn't very loud outside either. It's right next to the busy road so it would have been nice for the microphone to be louder. I was in front and had a hard time hearing the grooms vows. Then after the ceremony, I thought we would walk back inside, but we ended up walking to the back stairway and then we didn't know what to do next. It would be nice to have a spot to walk to. After that we took photos with the couple in front of the archway. And guests were then directed inside. Parking is a con too, very limited in the back. We saved it for family only. Guests had to find street parking. They do lock the gate to the parking lot so it is more secure. I did like that we had security guards at the front entrance and in the back parking. Whew that was long! Overall I was very happy with the venue it was everything our bride wanted. There were a few hiccups but those could easily be fixed. I felt the coordinators did a good job. DJ was good but he did miss the grand entrance song. It was the wrong song. And the aisle walk song for the bride was a miss. We had a great time overall dancing for the night away and I want to thank everyone involved with making this a great night for my two wonderful friends! read more

It was an interesting approach as our event was a B2B networking event and not like the normal banquet type of events Factory of Dreams is used to creating. Vasa was one of the first venues my now-husband and I checked out when looking for wedding venues and no other venue we looked at afterward could compare to it. I loved everything about the venue's style, from its romantic, Italian-vineyard-like garden to its gorgeous hand-laid vaulted wooden ceilings, draping greenery, and sparkling chandeliers of the ballroom. It was exactly the vibe I was going for for my wedding; it was like traveling to Italy without leaving San Diego. We also loved the all-inclusiveness of the venue. I can't even begin to guess at the amount of work and stress we avoided by leaving things to Tony, Martha, Valerie, and Paloma. They all took amazing care of us, were beyond accommodating, and were so understanding. We had no idea what we were doing for most of the wedding planning, but it was obvious Martha was a wedding-planning pro and her experience helped us to feel comfortable taking on this huge endeavor (and significantly decreased what we were responsible for; Vasa took care of everything except for the hair and makeup, our wedding outfits, and the photographer). The people at Vasa made sure we had everything we needed for our wedding and then some, working with us to make sure we were happy with every important detail starting months before the wedding and making tweaks up through the day of. When a hair/makeup disaster struck on the wedding day, Martha and her team were extremely flexible and made sure all the guests had plenty of food and drink to keep themselves entertained while they waited. Martha made the necessary adjustments to our wedding program on the fly and the whole event turned out amazing despite the disaster. You almost couldn't tell things didn't go as planned. There were a few minor snags on Vasa's part during the wedding, but there was very little that Martha couldn't overcome with her expert grace and poise. We are so thankful for everything the people at Vasa did to make our wedding day possible. My husband says, "It would be weird to have a second wedding there, but I'd consider it." Overall, we highly recommend you consider Vasa for your wedding or next formal event, and we cannot say enough good things about the people that work there! read more

I helped a family member plan her wedding and I was very disappointed with the service we had. I was at the planning meetings and Martha was very pushy and very passive of the brides requests. The bride was very detailed and planned with the team-the cups she wanted, the flowers she wanted, and she didn't get exactly what she wanted even after they agreed. The ceremony flowers were days old from a photoshoot a few days earlier. Martha then went on to explain the process of getting flowers from a whole sale flower shop and said you can only get what they have in stock, but I myself got married a month ago and ordered my specific flowers and got exactly what I ordered from the whole sale flower shop. Yes the venue is beautiful but for the amount of money you pay - you would think you get exactly what you want and some fresh flowers. The day of the wedding Martha was being very rude and pushy and was not making the bride feel relaxed at all but instead making the experience stressful. The DJ announced the wrong name for the groom even Though they had already been introduced. The bride made the best of it and had fun but was very disappointed. They are not very organized at all. We have reserved this place for our wedding! Our original date was set for July 11 but due to Covid-19 we had to push it back to October 25. Last week, after emailing them so many time, we finally were able to get a hold of them to talk about if the event would take place or not. They have insured us that the chances of our wedding taking place is 0. We talked about getting a refund briefly, but they offered us to do "services" rather than refunding us. I have been trying to get a hold of them for over 3 days now, and finally they have replied to my email. They refuse to give us our deposit money back because on the contract it states that the deposit money is non refundable, while this is a different situation. They are unable to hold my event due to covid19, which makes the contract VOID! If one party is unable to deliver what has been agreed upon on the contract it becomes void. But they still refuse to give us our money back. Saying they have been hit hard with covid and all. Everyone has been hit really hard. I've lost my job myself. But it would be illegal to hold the deposit money since it cannot be held, because they have been hit hard with covid19. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this venue!! I recently had my wedding there and can honestly say I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my special day. Everything at the venue is breathtaking, from the wall decors to the chandeliers on the ceiling, to all the tables and chairs and centerpieces. The venue has so much to offer for a very good price!! I didn't have to worry about having my ceremony at another location because they also have a garden area that is just perfect for the ceremony. I also didn't have to worry about finding the D.J or photo booth as it's also available for me to use there. What I love most is that we were allowed to bring our own alcohol and drinks and the venue provided a full lit bar and bartender! They are so accommodating! Aside from using everything the venue had to offer, I decided to add some personal touches (items) to my wedding and all I had to do was dropped them off and everything was set up for me as how I wanted. I did not have to do anything the day of and only showed up about 20 minutes before the ceremony. Martha and Valerie really took care of everything for me! Both of the Event Coordinators were so organized and on top of things. I was so impressed of how efficient they were at planning, organizing, and setting everything up for me. Everyone attended my wedding were really impressed of how organized my wedding was. Martha did a great job at keeping me and my husband on time with our programs and made sure all eyes were on us up until we opened up the dance floor. Valerie did a phenomenal job at setting up the venue to look so beautiful on my wedding day! Our daughter just had her Quinceañera at this venue a couple of weeks ago and it was AWESOME from start to finish. I only had 3 months to plan it and we were very lucky it was available.
