From start to finish, everything was handled with such care, professionalism, and attention to detail--it made our day feel effortless and unforgettable. A huge thank you to Will for his clear, thoughtful communication from the very beginning. He took the time to walk us through every detail, answer all of our questions, and make us feel completely confident in the process. Petr was also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process--so kind, enthusiastic, and genuinely a joy to work with. We especially loved getting to meet both him and Will in person at their incredible food tasting, which made us even more excited (and confident!) about our choices. The food was truly out of this world and deserves a special shoutout. During cocktail hour, guests raved about the hummus and pita, bacon-wrapped dates, arancini balls, and mini beef Wellingtons--each bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For dinner, we chose a dual entrée of salmon and pork served with seasonal vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes, and it exceeded every expectation. Multiple guests told us it was some of the best salmon they've ever had. The vegetarian curry cauliflower steak was also absolutely delicious and such a standout dish. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding food our guests had ever experienced--and as the bride and groom, we completely agree! All of their partnered vendors were excellent and we feel so lucky to have been connected with all of them through Abbey. Mishele's floral arrangements were nothing short of stunning--every piece was beautifully designed and elevated the entire atmosphere of our event. We received so many compliments on the flowers! Renato and everyone at SugarBear Sweet Provisions absolutely blew us away with the cake and cupcakes--they were not only gorgeous but also incredibly delicious. Our guests are still talking about them! Tareq was a joy to work with, and he even brought out his drone to use to capture footage of our special day! We cannot wait to see his wedding video, he is so talented. DJ Brain was incredible!!! His communication was excellent, and he brought so much positive energy to our event, set up our mic stands seamlessly, and got everyone onto the dance floor! My mom said she looked around at one point, and didn't see a single person of the 114 guests sitting down at the tables during the reception. Chuck was truly a standout throughout the entire day. His coordination was flawless, ensuring everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. We had so many small décor items, and he set up every single detail perfectly--it honestly exceeded anything we could have imagined. At one point, he even found double-sided sticky tape to make sure our candles stood up straight on every table. He went above and beyond in every way--bringing us plates of appetizers during cocktail hour and even surprising us with passionfruit mojitos throughout the night without us having to ask. That level of attentiveness meant so much to us. And finally, the Abbey service staff were exceptional--professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. They made sure our guests were well taken care of and contributed so much to the overall experience. We are beyond grateful to this entire team for making our event so special. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and we felt completely taken care of the entire time. If you are getting married or planning an event in San Diego, do yourself a favor and book this team--you will not find a more talented, organized, and genuinely caring group of people. From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d'oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d'oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I'm so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. The whole team, Will, Chuck, David, and the caterers were 10 out of 10 Thank you so much and to the Abbey vendors for making our day even more special!

    I am not a creative or crafty person, so when I became engaged, I was excited to be able to have a…read morewedding, but I wasn't excited about planning it or making decisions regarding it. I have zero interest in center pieces, decorations, timelines, flowers. I just wanted it to "look pretty" and for people to have a nice time. Thank goodness for Monica, the owner of Confetti and Glitter Events! I originally found Monica on Thumbtack, and liked how prompt she was in responding to my inquiry. She is also very affordable and reasonable in the pricing of her services. I initially hired her as my venue decorator, but then asked her to also be my Day of Coordinator. (these are 2 different things, so don't hire someone asking them to decorate, but then expecting them to handle your entire day and your entire ceremony and reception). She was flexible with her schedule when it came to meeting, and was prompt in her replies to emails and texts. Monica was very good about writing down the things I liked and didn't like, and was great about expanding on those things to find something that worked for me. She made all of my venue signs, set up and decorated the dessert table and guest table, all centerpieces and my sweetheart table. I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire day and night of my wedding, because I new Monica had everything covered. I was able to have a great time and focus on my guests, and she would guide me along if I needed to do something. I would recommend Monica for any party or event that you need planned. My husband and I were both very happy with her services, and will hire her again if we have anything that needs planning. She is very easy to talk to, and a sweet and professional woman. My photographer hasn't sent me my wedding photos yet, but when he does, I will post the work that she did :)

    We hired Monica to coordinate our wedding, and honestly we are pretty disappointed with how she did…read moreday of. She was responsive before the wedding and we were looking forward to everything thinking it'd all work out great. But on the actual day, SO much fell through the cracks. First, we had given her two large crystals to do a crystal blessing ceremony - but when the officiant announced the passing of the crystals, they were nowhere to be found. So there was just awkward silence and everyone looking around in the middle of our ceremony, and then we just had to skip that whole part. That was a meaningful part of the ceremony to us and we are so sad it didn't happen. To make things worse, she decided to pass them around during the reception but then never collected them at the end so we don't even have the crystals at all. Also, we bought a bunch of ribbon wands to do a grand exit and gave her the box to put them on the tables, but she never did. I don't even know where those ended up but they weren't on the table. And then she never announced the grand exit and it didn't happen. So we all just trickled out at the end with no announcement and no grand exit. We were really looking forward to this as well. Next, she never gave us our gifts. I honestly can't believe this happened. My mother and grandmother asked her several times if they should gather the gifts and cards and she said no that she would handle everything at the end of the night. But then she never did. My wife and I honestly thought nobody left us gifts and were kind of bummed, but then the next time we saw my mom two months later she mentioned all the bags and cards that were on the gift table and asked us if Monica ever gave them to us. We texted Monica and she had all these contradictory excuses then had the audacity to turn it on us like "why are you asking now two months later?" We are asking now because we trusted you to do your job and collect everything like you promised and didn't realize you dropped the ball on that too. So now, so long after the fact, its far too late to track everything down from the venue. Lastly, she drank a lot all day. Several people noticed and commented that she constantly had a mai tai in her hand. Maybe thats why so many huge things fell through the cracks? I had an amazing wedding day regardless and harbor no resentments, but I wanted to leave a review so that other people don't end up spending so much money to end up so disappointed in their coordinator like we were. Please keep looking and book somebody who will be more responsible.

They were an absolute joy…read moreto work with and helped us bring our dream wedding to life at Reinstein Ranch this past September. Before the big day, we had two meetings with Kirin. The first was to go over the incredibly helpful planning materials TLC provided, where we shared our ideas for food and décor. Kirin not only listened but gave us excellent vendor recommendations. Every time I reached out after that, she was quick to respond with thoughtful advice, which I deeply appreciated. The second meeting was for final details, and Kirin went above and beyond, staying an extra 30 minutes to make sure everything was just right. She even handled an unexpected fire drill with ease, truly going to bat for her brides. Little did we know, that wouldn't be the last "fire" she'd put out for us! As a DIY bride, some of my décor didn't quite go as planned due to the wind. Kirin and her team were quick to jump in and fix everything, making it look beautiful. The biggest mishap of the day was our 8-foot floral arch snapping in half. Instead of apologizing and moving on, the TLC team cut the floral noodles off and attached them to a wooden arch provided by the venue, all while I continued to live my stress free life of getting pampered. She kept me updated which I also appreciated so that there were no surprises. On top of that, Kirin's team ensured everything ran smoothly--from paying vendors and sticking to the timeline to keeping us fed, hydrated, and stress-free. They even made sure no one got too rowdy and cleaned everything up so we could simply enjoy our day. All we had to do was return the next morning to pick up our décor. My only regret is that I only get one wedding! But for any event--whether it's a wedding, corporate gathering, or anniversary--I highly recommend TLC. They are the best of the best!

    Came here for a wedding celebration on a Sunday afternoon to evening! The only rough part about it…read morewas a Padres game happening around the same time so parking was rough and expensive and you would need to park a bit far to get something cheaper but expect to pay a decent amount for parking. I personally have never heard of this location until attending my high school friend's wedding here and wow, I don't know how much the venue cost was but the space itself spoke for itself and was so nice! My friend had both her ceremony and reception in here and the way everything transitioned and was set up, I truly enjoyed was amazing by the views and space itself as they even had stairs to back areas where the bride and groom can put their things. A bar was located on the opposite side of the venue and restrooms behind as well as a nice sitting area near it. Loved the yummy hors d'oeuvres that was served too! The bacon wrapped scallops were the best!! Not sure how the packages for weddings work here but given the space inside for all things possible and being across the street from Petco Park, I'd say this is a nice spot to have weddings at!! I'd come back if I could!
