here is the picture of parts claimed to be "metal to metal" - a typical scare tactic.. Quote was unusual high at over $800. I ended up doing the repair myself. I do have a lift and was outraged at the quote. As you can see there was nothing metal to metal about the parts. So I ended up doing the job myself as an inconvenience. Varsity charged me $200 lift fee and diagnostic fee for basically NOTHING. read more

You make an appointment, usually a week out, only to be told the appointment was just to see an advisor and you would need another appointment to have any work done. Plus they charge almost $300/hour for brake work. Rear brakes and pads cost over $1200 with the 3% fee for credit! read more

Went for an oil change was told we needed a new battery. So spent $400 for the battery and oil change. Well after driving 5 miles at a stop sign the engine complete stopped. After checking the engine Found out that the negative wire was loose. fortunately I was at an area where there wasn't much traffic. Had I been at a light it could have very dangerous. Picture this... female going to a car dealership, out of state, to look at a CPO vehicle. What could go wrong? IF you go to VARSITY LINCOLN in Novi, MI the answer is absolutely NOTHING will go wrong!!! The entire experience was wonderful. From talking with Lisa on the phone to ensure the vehicle I was interested in was still available, to meeting with Sam J. the following day as well as the Sales Manager Jere. While a friend made the trip with me, I was the potential purchaser. The car I was interested in was pulled up when I got there... was met at the door and welcomed within about 15 seconds, and every interaction was genuine. Even spending time with Mike, the finance guy was pleasant. The entire team's approach is NOT a high-pressure tactic approach, but definitely one where they wanted to ensure I was making a well informed and best decision for me and my needs. Each person focused on 'me' as the buyer and talked to 'me' and not at the male friend that accompanied me. This, in itself, is rare... and pert near any female that has gone to buy a car has felt at one time or another. My trade in was evaluated and a very honest and fair value was assessed. How the breakdown of the total cost was reviewed on screen (none of that sliding a piece of paper across the table with numbers scribbled down) and Sam even helped me evaluate several different options (downpayment and terms). Jere checked in on us several times during our visit and ensured I knew that he was there for me. While I do live about 120 miles away... and likely will not get routine service done at Varsity... Jere made sure I knew that if I ever have an issue at any Lincoln dealership during service, I am to call him directly and he will be there to help me. During my time there, I never felt rushed, or even pushed to go look at more expensive 'new' cars. I am absolutely furious about the horrendous communication and treatment I received at your service center! I came in this morning to find out my service advisor's name, and the advisor who assisted me was incredibly rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Not only that, but I later discovered that my vehicle was ready for pickup and the keys were with the cashier. The RO states that my vehicle was washed and the front floor was vacuumed it wasn't(see pictures) the car was towed in as a no start? How could you have performed an oil change and tire rotation on a vehicle that was a no start? (see pictures )And the responses I received when I inquired about this were completely unacceptable. This level of incompetence and disrespect is completely unacceptable! And to top it all off my Wheel lock key was just thrown in the cup holder? (see pictures) read more

The only thing this place has going for them is Tony. If Tony is not an advisor, he should be promoted. He's the most attentive and customer friendly focused employee at Varsity. He assisted me upon arrival and departure. Tracey the cashier is rude and only portrays a customer service attitude when you address her rudeness. Vlad has been my sales guy here for over a decade and Nicole helps out my hubby with his MKZ since over 2 years ago. She makes it super easy to do the paperwork and fills much of it out, he just has to verify some details and sign when he picks up his lease. Vlad is a nice guy, energetic and chatty. He's easy to work with. I have leased Lincolns from here for decades. Nicole is really great to work with as well. Their service is always great and they have one of the better lounge rooms when you get service on your rentals, better than some German competitors even. Do not use the dealership or service department as they are unable to provide a level of service you would expect from anyone afflicted with Ford Motor Company. From the buying experience where you have to take delivery behind some shady warehouse that they drive you to off property to the now "Important safety recall service" where you are not permitted to stay at the dealership when you bring your vehicle in. One would think that having a customer lounge in the building attached to service, that you'd be able to use it. I guess that's another thing they fail on. It is truly a disappointment that the experience with Varsity Lincoln/Ford is so bad you have to begin to think twice about the vehicles sold both new or used based on shady business practices. read more
