I've always been intrigued by Carvana commercials I would see on TV and joked a few times about purchasing from them while looking for my own car. Shopping around online and at car lots for a used vehicle had yielded no solid results over the years that my dad and I had been searching. The car search finally became stagnant enough that when the Credit Karma app suggested using Carvana, I went ahead and actually looked into it. I was skeptical what with some of the bad/mixed reviews I've seen online, but I also had a friend who'd had a great experience getting a car from them so I went ahead. The process was as simple as they advertise. Just like shopping for anything else you would online. There were constantly representatives calling and leaving voice messages to keep me up to date on the goings on of my purchase and making sure I had everything I needed filled out. They were very friendly and helpful! Because of reviews I had already braced myself for a delivery delay, which there was, but luckily the next scheduled delivery date was only three days later and still worked for me. The delivery driver was supposed to be here at 9AM and arrived at exactly 9AM. My 2018 Honda Accord arrived beautiful, detailed, and with a full tank of gas. There are supposed to be body imperfections (scratches) but you can't really see them; the vehicle looks brand new. Everything checked out. After getting it scanned there was only one small concern mechanics-wise with the brakes but they physically feel fine. Other than that the antifreeze was low and the battery will probably need to be replaced maybe sometime within the year or next. But those two can easily be refilled/replaced. My license plate and all came about four days after the 7-day return period. I've had my car for 21 days now and I love it! read more

Husband and I sold a vehicle to Carvana ( title in both names) everything was pretty easy and quick once we figured out how to send the pics and info to them, they came very quickly and everything was completed on same day. Lots of texts telling us everything, when pick up was, etc..everyone was nice and let us take pics of badge #s, and vehicle they drove up in. The only off thing was the 1st guy that came took both sets of fobs and said he was going back to Novi and give them to the flat bed truck driver that was coming to get the vehicle as it was going to go to Novi, Michigan. When a different guy came with the flatbed he asked us where the fobs were because the truck was going to Carvana in Flint, Michigan. We told him what the other guy told us so he basically had to just pull the vehicle up onto the flatbed without it being in neutral, he did put little shi things in front of the back tires so it would slide a little, but we thought that couldn't be to good on the transmission and wondered how they were going to back it off. Tried to call the original guy that took the fobs but never got an answer, tried to get ahold of someone at Novi, got recordings, tried to chat on the website got pre asked questions, but oh well they got the vehicle and we got the cash and all in all was a good experience. I've bought two vehicles from Carvana in the last two years. There service is zero pressure and I had no issues with the service they provided me. However the vehicles I've bought from them have both had flaws that were not mentioned in either add. I reached out to Carvana about my recent purchase of my 17 Prius in regards to tire tread depth. It was stated in the 150 point inspection that the tires met standards (4/32) However the tread is almost at the wear bars. The advocate assured me that they were fine. Its definitely not an expense i was expecting in the next few months but you get what you pay for these days I suppose. I'm just thankful to have a car in this crazy market. My 16 explorer (my first purchase thru Carvana) had a bad rear end. The first week of purchase I got stuck three times due to the awd not kicking in. The Ford dealership replaced it for the deductible on the warranty. I also found out the vehicle had 5 recalls on it that were never addressed. I'm not sure who's fault this is but the vehicle is now in the shop due to other issues. Bottom line is do your homework before buying cars and if you want a fun and no pressure car buying experience then please feel free to go to Carvana. read more

My experience was great buying/trading in with Carvana. I am a week into owning my vehicle and I love it! I have seen complaints here about gathering documents and the time registration is taking...are you kidding!? Have you never purchased a vehicle before? This is a completely online process, so of course a bit more work will be required of you...you're not ordering a teapot off of Amazon! Concerning registration delays: My Rep., Tesla (yes, that's her real name), at the Indianapolis location was very thorough and pleasant- even after I was 30+ minutes late for my appt. Tesla explained that the registration process might experience delays due to multiple state agencies involvement, compounded with COVID...and this I totally understood because I had to reorder a license plate and it took MI SOS over a month to mail it out....so yeah, not Carvanas' fault at all. Tesla advised to keep the purchase paperwork handy for proof... which was totally logical. I can't believe the low rating here, because this has been the car buying experience I've had thus far. I wasn't sure at first how buying a car without really checking it out at a conventional dealership was going to go. But, the whole experience was both convenient and pleasurable throughout the whole process. I was able to get the car financed with no hassle, everytime I had a question or needed assistance thier customer service reps were polite, knowledgeable and walked me through things with no problems. The coolest thing was the delivery. They were on time, and it was the best experience I ever had getting a vehicle. If you are the least bit worried about acquiring your next car through Carvana I would encourage you to call them and talk to them. You will be amazed at the level of courtesy they provide. I'm 65 years old, have bought dozens of cars in my life, and this was probably the easiest, most satisfying car buying experience for me. They didn't misrepresent the car in any way, were quick to address my concerns, and with the 7 day return policy I wasn't nervous. Oh, and my new car is a Chrysler Town and Country and I love it!!!! Carvana was a great option for me because my bankruptcy just discharged 1 month ago. I knew going in my interest rate was going to be atrocious, but with that being said, i want get back to getting my credit score back up. I seached Carvana for a used car with great fuel mileage at a payment i could afford. I chose a 2017 Volkswagen Golf TSI . The pics showed only issues were 3 small cips on the hood and that's all there was. The car was Immaculate inside and out. The car came few days later exactly on time when Carvana said it would. The delivery guy called ahead to confirm. A side note to some of the negative reviews, i inspected the car as soon as it arrived and test drove it (the delivery guy also suggested i inspect and test drive as well) if anything was wrong or not as stated, I would not have accepted the car, you do not have to. So due your due diligence. Things happen and not every employee always does 100% all the time. This is a large purchase take responsibility. I purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee from Carvana and picked up on location in Novi. There were a couple hiccups in the application/ process and it was annoying, but once I got on the phone and spoke with a person, it went smoothly. The guy I dealt with when I picked up my car was very nice and knowledgeable. I like that they are not salespeople, just customer service so no one was trying to push anything extra on me. During my seven day "trial period" I had the car looked at by my mechanic and they said it was in great shape but the car needed new brakes (which I could tell too). I took it to one of the preferred vendors and they replaced all the brake pads and rotors at no cost to me. That process was actually easier than getting something taken care of when buying from a traditional dealer. I did research on the vehicle and comp shopped and I'd already driven a friends car like mine so I knew what I wanted and made sure I was getting a good price. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and love my new car! read more

Sold my Ford Fusion to Carvana, and it could not have been a more enjoyable and amazing experience! Everything was done online, and they gave me a great price for my car that was far more than any dealer was offering via trade. While I could have sold it for $1-$2K more to a private seller, the ease and hassle-free process of selling it to Carvna made it all worth it! After getting the quote from Carvana, I submitted my paperwork on Thursday afternoon. I received the link to schedule an appointment the following day, and scheduled it for drop-off Saturday morning. After arriving at the office, I only had to wait about 10mins for the attendant to finish with another customer and run the code scanner. By Monday morning, the check was deposited into my bank account! I've never had a more enjoyable process selling a car, which in-turn made buying a new one that much easier. Tyler threatened us! After buying a car from this dealership that turned out to be a lemon with hidden damage, we stayed calm and attempted to address the situation, but "Tyler"screamed in our faces, berated us, and said she "doesn't make commission" and "couldn't care less" if we took the car. She even told us we didn't "get to speak to the manager," which was outrageous after spending $50,000. When I got the manager myself, Summer came out and looked at me like "what do you want from me" while Tyler continued to harass me and my son. No apology, just threats and total disrespect. It was so bad that Carvana corporate had to step in, refund us for everything including the shipping fee, and apologize. They also picked up the link from our home to avoid us being threatened any further by their dealership. Avoid this dealership unless you want to be treated like dirt by unprofessional staff who clearly don't care about customers at all. read more

I LOVED the Carvana experience. It's so nice to be able to shop for a car from home and take care of everything online. After you purchase, there's a dashboard to upload all of your documents and you get to schedule either a time for pickup or delivery. The delivery took about 10-15 minutes, so simple! This really did beat going to a dealership. The only hiccup I ran into was a document which wouldn't upload properly but I was able to contact online support and get it taken care of pretty quickly. Pros: convenient, doesn't take a lot of time, car delivered to your door, lots of online support, 100 day warranty, 7-day return policy Cons: may need a computer to upload documents, everything is online so if you prefer a face to face experience, you may not prefer this method, no test drive (although you could probably contact a dealership to request a test drive of a similar vehicle if you wanted to go this route) read more

I have to say this was the best experience I've ever had buying a vehicle and at the age of 57 I've bought a few. I completely bought this car from the couch of my living room. Sound risky it isn't because after you choose and get your car delivered to your front door you have 3 whole days to decide if its the car for you or have another one delivered, I love the car I got. The thought of buying a car on line was very scary but after reviewing the short videos on line and speaking with a very knowledgeable Customer Service rep on the phone, I was put completely at ease. I have been in customer service for 20+ years and found Carvana's customer service to be outstanding! Other companies should take note on how to provide quality customer service for their products from agents that speak clearly with a smile on their face. Once my vehicle arrived and I tested out my new ride, the Carvana driver climbed in the vehicle and answered all my questions about the "bells and whistles". He did not seem to be rushed at all and really took the time to answer my numerous questions. My new vehicle was in pristine condition and they even gave me a full take of gas. I recently explored Carvana to both sell my 2018 G-Wagon and potentially buy a new vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Despite their slick website and the convenience they advertise, I found their pricing to be a major drawback. When I looked at their car listings, the prices seemed significantly higher compared to other dealerships and online platforms. I was hoping the trade-in offer might offset some of this, but I was sorely disappointed. Carvana offered me only $40,000 for my well-maintained 2018 G-Wagon, which is far below its market value. This lowball offer made it clear that Carvana might not be the best choice for those looking to get a fair deal on their vehicles. This was the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had. From the moment we saw the car on the website to when Steve from Grand Rapids delivered it. Finding a car was very open and had many options of what kind of car you wanted which was really nice. We had a little technical difficulties when trying to upload the documents, but it got resolved quickly and we had people from the staff of Carvana that helped us the entire time and were right on it! The car arrived earlier than expected and was in spectacular condition and there was even a little gift baggy on the seat which was a very thoughtful touch. I recently traded in my vehicle and purchased a new one. Both transactions were completed at the same appointment and both went very smooth. The trade-in vehicle was inspected by the agent and took about 10 minutes to complete, including an ODBII diagnostic reading and photos. After that, the agent had me sign a couple of forms, handed me a coin and I watched my new car come down the elevator and turn around a few times in front of me. The agent then drove the car out of the building and handed me the keys. A very smooth and enjoyable experience that lasted about 30 minutes in total. This was my second purchase with Carvana. My first was a couple of years ago, that was delivered with no trade-in. I still own that first purchase. read more

I found the process extremely convenient. I chose to pick my vehicle up. My first appointment had to be canceled because an ice storm took out the power but I thought Carvana did a very good job of reaching out to communicate that and also to reschedule. On the day of the appointment, Matt was the one that helped me and he was very kind and informative. My one sticking point was that they discontinued the referral program the literal day that I tried to use it. I went to the website and found the referral info, contacted them and was told it was discontinued, went back to look for the info again and it was gone. I just felt like they should have put some sort of notification on there before terminating the program. read more

Overall my experience selling my car to Carvana was efficient and painless. The only exception was in the delayed acceptance of my loan payoff letter by Carvana. The initial letter was rejected because "more information is needed," but it was very difficult for me to determine exactly which information was missing. After several emails, phone calls and chats, the problem was resolved. The date I requested the payoff letter was what was missing, however this is not included on the official list of required elements, which was sent to me more than once. One of the humans I chatted with was the only person to identify this omission. Everything else went smoothly. Everyone I interacted with was professional. read more
