My son and I both ordered the bomb. Home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits and 3 eggs. It was a special for $6.99. Jessica was our waitress and fabulous. She was very attentive and quick. I had a hair in my meal, and was offered a new plate. I ordered it to go. It came out fast and looked really good. The plate of bacon we ordered was good as well. read more

Comfort food with a good salad bar the shamrock soup is excellent. My wife and I ordered the salad bar and I added a bowl of chili which was very good. The salad bar doesn't have a ton of options but the ingredients were fresh and tasty. read more

I ordered the burger. The server was courteous, the presentation was horrid, It was served open faced, meaning the patty was on the bottom half of the bun,the lettuce and tomato slice was on the side, the tomato slice was the topmost slice with a hole where it was attached to the stem. I called over the manager and expressed my dissatisfaction for the presentation. She offered me another slice if I'd like, but took no responsibility for the presentation. I suggested that that piece of tomato ends should not. E served due to presentation issues, her response was that every tomato gave 2 ends and she can't throw them away. Bear in mind, this is on a approx. $8 burger and a 20% tip. The burger tasted good, but the way the manager handled my complaint left a bad aftertaste hence I'm here. Have eaten here before, basic food, normally OK quality. My personal opinion (and I am almost 60 myself), typical "cotton-top" food, decent quality, low on flavor/spice (bland), but reasonable price, interesting soups, and the restaurant is close to home. Best item is a basic salad bar so you can make it your way. Wife wanted Liver & Onions, she has had that from here previously and liked it. Last night, got an order of liver and onions to-go for her. Not rocket science, liver (well done), mashed potatoes and gravy, vegi of the day. Got home and found liver burnt one side, grey on the other, and still had red in the middle????? Potatoes are potatoes, but the mixed vegetables, the vegetable of the day, were not even cooked through. Also, conspicuously absent was any kind of bread (was expecting at least a dinner roll). Wife also said the liver had no flavor and was actually "watery". A significant departure from what she has experienced from here previously. Different cook in the kitchen?? Not sure, but the last couple of times we have eaten here we have been less than satisfied by our meals. While I always try to patronize locally owned restaurants, this may be the final nail in the coffin for our patronage of this restaurant as the quality just isn't there anymore. read more

If you're looking for a "breakfast all day place" this is it, as long as you don't want one of the most basic breakfast items: a waffle. They're too lazy to make waffle batter all day so they only serve waffles until 1:00 pm. The ironic part is on the very same page of the menu, they have in big bold letters "BREAKFAST SERVED ALL DAY" Don't even think about the pancakes unless you're a fan of 1 inch thick half cooked batter and dough. They were so dry that no amount of syrup or butter made them swallowable. They're huge discs but when they're an inch thick, they don't cook properly making them inedible. If asked whether you want butter on your English muffin, say no and get butter on the side to do it yourself. I made the mistake of saying yes and when it arrived I held it upside down and watched the butter drip off it like water dripping off a wet cloth. If you're interested in what so and so did last Friday and who so and so is now dating, this is the place to come. Most, if not all, of the girls on the floor are just there to get paid and it shows they don't want to actually WORK to make their money as they always have sour puss faces on, most notably the older women who usually seat customers and check them out. The waitresses & hostess/cashier are always gossiping and talking amongst themselves instead of taking care of the customers and actually doing their jobs. That's mostly because they don't know HOW to do their jobs. I've been here previously and ordered a croissant and the girl tried to tell me they didn't have them because she couldn't find it on the system to ring it up, even though it's right on the menu AND it's on the system. Someone from the kitchen had to find it for her. Looks like he should be waiting tables instead of her. Don't think about desert because, even though they have a huge bold print section on the back of the menu that says "We have troyer's pies!" they have NEVER had pies any of the multiple times I've asked. Overall it's one of those "town" places where there's regulars that come in and crowd the restaurant in huge groups and have loud social hours; definitely not the type of place you want to go if you're just passing through town and wanting a nice sit down meal with delicious food and a good atmosphere. read more

Best customer service ever! The food was yummy and they give a lot of food. I took it home and it ended up being 3 meals! Everything we got was tasty and the staff was so nice and accomodating. My Mom accidentally spilled soup at the salad bar and the waitress was so nice about it. I really liked the salad bar too! The decor is a little old fashioned and it seems like a place where a lot of older people frequent but it was still a nice place to have dinner. So much to choose from. read more

on 9 13 15 at there I ordered the pork chop and fresh cut fry. the fries were good. the pork chop was disgusting bad. made me feel like they were like dahmer and chopped up a human and served it to me. Eveytime I goto varietys I leave happy! You just can't beat the prices for how much food you get! The home made Soup and Salad bar is AMAZING! I normally get the grecian platter or chicken stir fry! The breakfast was good, I don't remember what I ordered but it was a lot of food for a low price. I have no idea about their other food. The waitress and staff were friendly. Nothing really sticks out. It's a small, outdated place. I wouldn't be opposed to going back, but also wouldn't be the one to recommend it. Like if someone were to suggest it, I would probably just shrug my shoulders and tell them it's up to them because, honestly, I'm pretty indifferent to the place. read more

This restaurant has gone down on the food flavor. Used to be really good. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone that has celiac disease. I informed the server that I had to be gluten free. I don't think she told the cook. I was very sick for several days afterword. I ordered a breakfast that should have had no gluten. Made me wonder if they put pancake mix in the eggs like Denny's does. read more

We had brunch on Sunday March 18, 2018. We were very disappointed with the rude service. We were admonished by the waitres for me eating my wife's salad (the sign said no sharing the salad bar). We assumed that meant not taking two plates on one bill rather than me finishing the uneaten salad that came with my wife's meal. When the waitress rudely admonished us, I did not finish the salad. The rest went into the trash. What a waste of food! This restaurant just lost our business and I do not recommend this establishment to anyone. I'm a fan of Variety. I've eaten there three times now, twice for lunch and now for dinner and had a very good experience each time. The restaurant is clean and the staff is efficient and helpful. Salad bar has always been fresh and crisp. Seating varies between intimate to family sized booths. Plenty to choose from between specials and standard menu selections. Food has always been prepared and presented nicely. Deserts in glass case when you walk in vary from pies to baklava. Great place to eat and talk as it's spacious with low ambient noise levels. I gave it four stars as its not new and snazzy, but if you want a nice family restaurant, this is it. read more
