Why Hillside, would you have only have one bar maid/waitress at 6:30pm on a Saturday??? There were almost 30 people she alone waited on, plus some pick ups. She needs words of affirmation for keeping her polite composure and smile! Please giver a raise along with some help!!' There was one older man standing at the end of the bar that took some plates to a table. That's all he did the hour we were there while the waitress hustled and hustled!!! We will not patronize you again since you treat your employees that way. It's a shame because the French Onion soup was delicious! Waitress, 5 stars !

Not a place for family, if ya like the bar, then guess it be alright. Took my grandsons in for dinner once. The waitress was vile, in order to get more drinks I had to go to the bar and ask, then carry them to the table. She only approached our table twice, once to take our order, once to deliver it. Then had to run her down to get my bill. Sad thing was, they had decent food. But if you weren't sitting in the bar area, they didn't want nothing to do with you.

Has served many purposes over the many years. And is currently a restaurant... I say more a bar/diner. The very first impression I got upon entering was the smell of it's age. There was clearly a musty, mildew type odor all through the place. It never let you forget it, no matter how long you stayed. That's the sole reason for the 3 stars. Everything else was quite pleasant. The server was very nice. The menu had plenty of selection. The food was very good. As a matter of fact, my brother said his steak and eggs was the best he ever had. My BLT was very good, and I took half of it home. The problem was I could not get that smell out of my nose no matter how hard I tried to ignore it. So an easy 4 (maybe even a 5) has to be a 3. Sorry, I call 'em like I see 'em.
