We've had to call Angel a few times because the unit we got (American Standard) has had a few defects and it was still covered by his labor warranty. Of course our AC unit stops blowing cold air right when there's a horrible heat wave. I requested a quote from about 10 AC companies and 7 of those told me flat out that they were too swamped to come out & help me. Two said that would definitely be able to come, but could not give me a time frame & will most likely be much later in the day. With the temperature already hitting 90 degrees at 8AM, I could not afford to wait & risk not having enough time to get my system fixed. I have a toddler & pets that can't be subjected to unbearable heat. Then I get a call from Angel @ Vargas Heating & Air and told me he would be able to come out at 11AM & I thought it was almost too good to be true. My air conditioner unit that was in my new home was supposed to be new but wasn't working and they quickly arrived (ON TIME) and tried their best to fix it. They couldn't figure it out but always kept me updated as they were ordering parts and when they could come back out to continue working on it. They finally fixed it and then it was making a noise that I wasn't comfortable with (I think it's a normal noise from the unit) but Mine was a little extra loud gurgling sound so I still called to see what they could do and they happily came and fixed it. Then the unit started leaking and they came out quickly addressed the issue and fixed it again. I will say they always showed up on time, and even if they couldn't figure out exactly how to fix it the first time they were honest and kept me updated on what they would do and when they could come back. They were realistic with their availability and would always show up when they said they would. Things can get a bit uncomfortable when working in a department where there is no middle ground when it comes to the temperature. To put it bluntly, the ventilation sucked and varied per department since each comes equipped with it's own thermostat. With ours, the smallest turn to the left or right equaled ice cold or hot temperatures with no center to break even. Sounds like a sad story right? After enough bugging, my supervisor was tasked with finding a solution for the HVAC within the department. Angel (the owner) was recommended by another who had previously used his services. Professional, hilarious and straight to business is the best way to describe the owner's work ethics. Once tasked, Angel was here everyday for a week putting his skills to work while keeping us in tears laughing whenever we all had the time to chat. The ending result is what we've wanted in this department...some middle ground for temperature. Finally there's an in between! Not to mention the AC blows a perfectly cool breeze without freezing us. The heat is currently being used due to the rainy weather and it feels good to not feel as if I'm in an oven for once.
