I'm a retired general contractor so I know what's going on , remember to Always get a second opinion, they told me after they looked over the unit, there was a 89.00 charge to evaluate the unit. They didn't fix anything, they gave me a price of $1850 to fix the unit (their way) and said it would take a day or two. That was to replace five sensors and the gas control unit. They also said I needed new ductwork, which would be an additional price. The heater is only two years . I told him I was gonna check with the people that originally installed it first before I made a decision to do anything . The people that installed the unit said unfortunately it would be about a week before they could come out and take a look at it. I went on YouTube and figured out what was wrong with the unit. Called the guy that installed it and he said replacing the sensors sounded like the right repair. I replaced two sensors the fire detector and fire igniter now it's working fine. Cost me about 100 bucks for the sensors. I had to order the sensors off of Amazon because even though I have my general contractors license I can't buy the parts locally without a R21 license. It took me two days to get the parts from Amazon and fix the heater. read more

Our furnace stopped producing heat this morning. Luckily it was after the holiday weekend and before the upcoming New Yrs holiday / weekend. We contacted a few furnace repair companies and Cloud Comfort was able to come today within the hour due to some cancellations. Erwin arrived and did the evaluation. He was able to repair it. He did say there could be some future issues due to the age of our furnace ( 19 yrs) that we should keep an eye on. So it gives us a heads up if the ol' unit has a problem. He's sending an estimate of what some future problems might be based on its condition so we'll have an idea. We will definitely be contacting Cloud Comfort for any furnace issues. I had Cloud Comfort install two separate systems for my home and this landed up being a fairly complex installation given that my home is almost a 100 years old with old metal duct work that was not usable. The team did a great job with the installation and the recommendation of the systems to install. My family has been very happy thus far.
