I went here after Lowe's sent me defective carpet twice, leaving me with no flooring for a month!…read more Ned helped me find a choice and style that suited me and my budget and was in stock. Everyone at the store was sympathetic to my situation and followed up quickly with any questions or concerns o had. My final install was with Ryan G. He worked late just to make sure my install was right and that I could finally walk on floors again! Ryan is very serious about getting the job done in a way that will leave his costumers satisfied. The people at this shop cared about my satisfaction. Lowe's couldn't even offer regrets for undone floors and twice defective merchandise. Go here instead. They are local and get the job done right.

I had a disappointing experience with Floor Factory Outlet in St. Augustine…read more We purchased carpet and padding on Sunday and provided the measurements we had. We were told those measurements would not matter because someone would come to our home to measure before installation. The installer called us as promised and came by to measure. The final measurement required an additional 6.67 yards, which we paid for by credit card over the phone. We were given an installation price and scheduled the installation for Wednesday. We were told to pay the installer directly the amount quoted by the flooring company. After the installation, the price had increased by $72. I was told the additional charge covered the installer's measurement visit and gas. These fees were not disclosed when we made the purchase or when we were quoted the installation price. Adding an undisclosed fee at the time of installation was unacceptable and should have been communicated in advance. I contacted the company to address the issue and was told that the additional charges were not what had been agreed upon. However, the company declined to resolve the matter or take responsibility for the actions of its installer. I also specifically requested that the leftover carpet be left for us. Despite that request, the installer disposed of it without our permission. Throwing away material that the customer expressly asked to keep was inappropriate and unacceptable. The company's handling of the undisclosed fee and the disposal of our leftover carpet were extremely disappointing. Customers should receive clear, accurate pricing and should be able to trust that their specific requests will be respected.

Wow. Amazing customer service. I am a raving fan of this company!…read more It was the fall of 2019, and hubs and I had just purchased a condo that needed everything. Full renovation. For floors, we were pretty sure we wanted vinyl plank, and visited several places around town just in an effort to educate ourselves. We wanted something nice, something that really looked like wood since we had real wood floors in our previous home (which Mercury installed about 12 years prior, great experience with them at that time, too). We quickly discovered LVP, luxury vinyl plank. But even as we narrowed to that category, the options were seemingly endless. We called Cristal from Mercury who we had worked with on our previous wood floors, and she came right out to our new place with several options, just to work through what we wanted. Cristal is so knowledgeable and sweet! A real joy... she educated us AND she listens. Long story short, we stretched our budget as far as we could get it and chose a really nice high end LVP. We were happy! Delivery came on a Friday, and the install crew began work in a Monday. The install was expected to take a week. A few hours after work began, I got a call from Cristal. Problem with the flooring... her crew had discovered the problem fairly quickly, and opened about half the boxes in an effort to find flooring that didn't have "the problem". No luck... Cristal said she had already made contact with the manufacturer to find out if they could get replacement flooring expedited... flooring without "the problem" (the problem was most of the floor wouldn't snap together properly, and those pieces that did snap together would not seat together flush, left gaps between planks). I was very grateful to the install crew for stopping install and for Cristal jumping in to sort fixing everything quickly, but I was clearly worried about our condo renovation. You know how these things go... can't do the next thing until the first thing is done, and so on. And I was on a tight deadline... our current home was sold and we needed to move out by a certain date! By the next morning, Cristal called. The manufacturer finally called to say the entire manufacturing lot had "the problem", and they wouldn't be able to replace the flooring for upwards of 6 weeks. I gasped! She quickly told me not to worry, I could pick another floor and they would rush ship it. Hubs and I LOVED the floor we had chosen, but we had no choice... we had to pick a new one. Cristal came right over with samples... by then she knew exactly what we liked aesthetically. I looked over everything and quickly narrowed down to two... after a few more minutes, I decided. Cristal said she thought I would probably choose that one and it was more expensive than my original purchase. Great.... how much more? We had already stretched our budget. Cristal said no extra charge... Mercury would give me the new floor for the same price as the old floor, AND rush ship it. I was flabbergasted. They took a situation that was not their fault and made it the best they could. Like I said, amazing customer service. The new floor came a few days later, rush shipment as promised. But now the install crew was working on a new project (they were out of work for about a week after my project fell apart). But they came in after their other project, on weekends, late at night... whenever, to get my floor installed as quickly as possible and get my project back on its timeline. There were a few tense moments with the install crew, I will admit... there were moments I thought they might be cutting corners. But looking back, they weren't. We were all stressed to the max, and the crew was working triple time. They did a good job. And miraculously they got it done, and I was very grateful. Follow up work was done a couple weeks later by Michael... he did some tweaking to the floor and trim work after my cabinets were installed. Super attention to detail and doing a job the very best it can be done, even if it takes extra time or another visit. He was amazing! All in all, this was the best experience I've ever had with a service company. I ended up with a beautiful floor that is better than the original floor I chose. But I would not recommend going through the stress of this situation to my worst enemy! Im still in awe at how Mercury took a tough situation and bent over backwards to make it better, even though they did nothing to cause the problem. There is no other company I'll ever recommend for flooring... Mercury has a customer for life!

The installation team is top notch and does amazing work. We could not be happier with the outcome…read moreand wholeheartedly recommend Mercury for all your carpet and flooring needs.

This is a great opportunity to seek out a new place and add Hester's to Yelp. As we walked into the business, we were greeted by Maurice and his trusty companion . We inquired about real wood flooring and Maurice took us to another showroom. The samples on hand was overwhelming. They have samples from every company. Armstong, Luxwood, Mohawk and Parkay Floors. Talking to Maurice, Hester's is a small family owned business. They have some flooring in stock but they can order anything in the showroom. The one we liked was $5.50 sf. This was a little out of our price range. I simply love that they also support other businesses. As you'll see in the picture of the entrance way. I was shocked at how fast my flooring was installed but now I realize it was done so quickly…read morebecause it was done TERRIBLY! After just a week or two I had some back to fix the trims that were cracking due to not being leveled properly. Over a short time the floor has become complete garbage. Holes under the flooring led to dips and cracking throughout my entire house. They did offer to redo part of my floor but that meant altering the original way the floor looked by adding trim in random places. I only found out about the plan when the installer called to arrange a time to come. He realize the sales person did not tell me when they originally came to look at the floor and only whispered it to the installer after leaving. When I called to speak with DAVID to discuss possible other options he treated HORRIBLY. He attitude was disgusting and unprofessional from the moment he answered the phone. When I tried to address his hostile attitude he became more irate. I strongly believe I was treated this way because I'm a young woman who can be easily taken advantage of by a misogynist. I am truly sicken by DAVID and the company as a whole. Almost 10,000 wasted because I used this business
