I got scammed through a different company…read morethat had a very similar name (if you see Jax's or Jaxs instead of this company - run fast) and I had a 10 month ordeal of having to find my chair and had to run to Georgia with a sheriff to get it which sounds insane, but I love my chair! Anyway, I reached out to them because they have great reviews and are a local business. Suzanne was so understanding over email and we arranged a time to bring the chair in. Keep in mind - the person who had my chair before took it completely apart and I felt like it may be a lost cause. I met with Bill and he was so nice and also seemed shocked about the state of the chair (I'll include pictures). We talked a little bit and I had some fabric leftover, but I was still unsure about what would happen. He was pretty confident and let me know that he would see what he could do. I left it in his hands and was kind of busy for a few weeks. Unbeknownst to me, my boyfriend had checked in and left his number with them. He surprised me with it a few weeks later and I was so shocked that it was already done and how beautifully it came out. I am absolutely in love with the results and it came out better than I imagined! I am so thankful for their kindness, customer service, and workmanship. I will be doing business with them and recommending them from here on out; solid people.

Initially contacted in late March about refinishing our front doors. Saw on his website that he'd done several doors very similar to ours and they seemed to turn out nicely. He initially said he was booked out about 6 weeks - no problem. When he arrived to start working on the doors in mid-May, was here for about an hour, and did some initial prep on the door casing (which was the section LEAST in need of refinishing). Evidently, did about 15 mins of work on the actual doors, and decided he needed to use a different chemical stripper, which he didn't have with him. Said he would order it and be back when it came in. Ok, no problem. A week goes by - no word. Ten days - no word. I reached out to him and he said he was having trouble sourcing that particular chemical. I then did a 30-second Google search and immediately found two sources for it. Sent him a text with the links to both sites. Silence. Another two days go by - nothing. Texted him and asked if it he received my texts. Also asked if it would be helpful if we ordered the stripper and let him know when it came in. The next day, got a snarky, curt reply - this is a quote - "No, I haven't looked. I'm on vacation right now. Don't order." I hate bothering people on vacation and would not have done so, IF he'd had the decency & common courtesy to let us know he'd be gone for a week and would circle back when he returned. But never heard anything about it. Fast forward another 4 weeks (texted another couple of times and tried calling) - zilch. No return call, no texts. Then today, knowing that, for whatever reason, he was never going to complete our doors, called him (thinking I'd leave a message) to simply ask if he could recommend someone else who could take over the project. Surprisingly, he actually picked up the phone - couldn't believe it. At first, he didn't remember me or our project. Then, the lightbulb clicked on and he just hung up. No explanation, no 'sorry it didn't work out, won't be able to finish your doors' - nothing. Tried calling back thinking maybe was just a bad cell connection - nope. He's just a disgustingly rude, unprofessional jerk. If you think of hiring him, just know he may well leave you hanging.

That said, the combination of numerous positive reviews (most on Google) plus the reasonably priced proposal finally sealed the deal with Thomas Painting. Plus, they had an opening that aligned with the timeframe that I was aiming for. Terrence, Jason and Stephania did a high quality job with our interior painting job. They were extremely polite, professional, prepped everything prior to painting and cleaned up daily. Each person was responsive to all questions, concerns and accommodated additional color selections. Terrence also had additional people on site a few days to ensure the job was completed within the projected timeframe. If you're deciding between painting yourself vs. getting it professionally done, do yourself a favor and just go for it! What Terrence and his team completed within a week would have probably taken us numerous weekends spanning several months (or in our case, postponed indefinitely). Having the house professionally painted was 100% worth the money. Overall, their work exceeded our expectations and I no longer cringe when I look at my baseboards! Both technician were very clean and respectful. They were in our home for 8 hours for each at separate times. This was October 2024. By January 2025 you could see the mold again in our showers. It took 2 weeks for them to response to my calls. They finally sent out a young man to look at the problem. He states that the contract that I signed only said that they do the first 2 rows of tile in the bathroom . I am writing this review to let people know that this company misleads their customers. Don't you think that if you said to me (We are only re-grouting the first 2 tiles lines in our showers, I would have had a difference response.) If you look at the pictures taken you can see that they didn't even do that. But they cleaned the heck out of the grout lines. These kinds of companies alway have a back door to whatever they do or don't do. I am posting this review on BBB and Google and any other site I can find.
