Kathleen Ann Larriviere is the registered owner of these companies. I hired CS&T based on a sponsored ad in St. Aug's Social Magazine. Owner touted "one stop shopping" inferring that Cielo could design, provide material and construct. They can't. My kitchen remodel was simple, same footprint w/minor changes to plumbing/electrical. I paid CS&T for cabinets (and installation) and countertops (material, fabrication, and installation). I paid Cielo Residential Design & Construction for electrical/plumbing work. The job was fraught with problems. ACCOUNTING ERRORS: They were egregious. Problems included double billing for cabinets/materials, charging for work not done and charging for erroneous supplies. These errors were systemic, ALL invoices were wrong, ALL errors favored Cielo. Based on a previous review, this is the norm. CS&T double billed for cabinets more than $4k. Getting a refund was like pulling teeth. Owner vehemently pushed back. I provided extensive documentation comparing Cielo's work orders, estimates including multiple spreadsheets. 53 pages of documentation in all. $3.1k was refunded. I was not provided with any documentation to substantiate the refund. This was not the correct amount, but I was relieved that I got a partial refund. DISORGANIZATION: In early May we contacted CS&T. We received 3 different quotes for cabinets. First quote was the lowest, the second quote was 2x the first quote ... we finally settled on a price in between the two. It took 6 weeks to finalize the cabinets and order. Cabinets were installed mid-October. The countertop installation should have immediately followed. Countertops were paid for mid-November. In January I was notified that we needed 5 slabs. How could an estimate be off by 3 slabs? Cost, availability, consistency of color, forced me to choose another product that was readily available. This was disappointing because my kitchen was designed around the countertop color. I spent $15k+ on tile, rug, and artwork. CS&T'S SUBCONTRACTOR: CS&T's owner recommended My Granite Guys (MGG) as a source for countertop material, fabrication, and installation. MGG's installation in January was disastrous. 4 out of 5 slabs had to be removed/refabricated. Reinstallation was in early February. This was problematic as well. MGG ONLY guarantees the installation for 24 HOURS. Because I had major surgery, I did not immediately notice problems with countertops. Neither MMG nor CS&T will take responsibility for these problems. CS&T's owner has stated CS&T is not responsible for the countertops for two reasons: #1: Owner insists I am a client of MGG. That's not true. MGG does not sell retail, the quote was sent to CK&B; they paid MGG. I paid CS&T. #2: Payment and Installation Sign Off Agreement. CS&T's owner insists because my daughter (a disinterested party) signed this document it absolved CS&T of any responsibility. Not true. See photo attached with explanation. Cielo's owner summed it up in a snarky email sent to MGG: "Here is more from XXXXX. She really needs to go away!" Because of blatant errors in billing, disorganization, lack of accountability and substandard work, I do not recommend doing business with any company that has ties to Kathleen Ann Larriviere or MGG. I have left a separate review for MGG.

The owner of Cielo advertises her stone, tile, contracting and design businesses as a "one stop shop" The owner of Cielo stone is also a contractor- be careful when you do business with this stone store as you may be offered her contracting services. Over $1300 in "accounting errors" and overpurchasing of materials coupled with very poor workmanship and disorganization over the course of five months was the end result of my experience w Cielo. The $1300 is just what I caught. The poor workmanship and design flaws will cost me far more than $1300 in the long run. Many questionable business practice examples: Cielo charged $462 for a 4 piece stone pattern -when they ordered a 3 piece pattern and installed a 2 piece pattern without my knowledge or approval. The owner of Cielo who is also a contractor provided an strange explanation of why I was billed for a 4 piece pattern- yet a 2 piece pattern was installed. She said a 4 piece pattern and a two piece pattern are the same thing. The invoice from Cielo just says "4 piece pattern" with no sizes listed. In retrospect, a very odd way to invoice any purchase. This incorrect pattern was installed without being cut to fit on the panels. The stone was hanging several inches over the edges as the pictures show. There was also another $71.98 (35.99 x2) charge for 600 tile spacers that sell for less than $3 a pack at Home Depot. They refused to refund for this overcharge. 600 tile spacers for less than 60 pieces of stone? The owner claims she credited me for this- another unfortunate untruth. The picture of the paid invoice is with the photos. Because Cielo was also the contractor- I was forced to pay these invoices from the stone store. Being overcharged for tile spacers alone is not a big deal-but when you combine this with dozens of other overcharges and "accounting errors" from being- *double charged for a building permit to charged twice for materials and the total exceeds $1300 - it is very concerning. The owner of Cielo ordered an 18 inch cabinet to fit around a 19 inch sink. She did not make us pay for her mistake on this. However, this was after 30k had already been paid for a poorly executed partial job with extensive flaws that the pictures attached illustrate. The amount of money I was overcharged by Cielo stone was a very small part of what I was overcharged by the Cielo owner. The overarching issue is the very questionable business practices the owner has repeatedly demonstrated and very poor workmanship that she allowed to persist. The owner will likely pick and choose which issues she wants to address. Some of the issues she will avoid addressing are: 1. The very poor workmanship of the 13 foot counter framing done lower than the existing travertine allowing water to pool, the asymmetrical framing and odd shim. (the pictures show this) She never provided a true scale plan that included the counter area cutouts even after requesting this. Her labor had to wing the framing because she provided no plan to follow. 2. She also won't address how it took 41 hours ($2400) in labor costs to rough frame this poorly constructed counter plus $1500 in materials. The pictures attached show the poor workmanship of the $4000 framing job. On top of the 4K for rough framing the 13 foot counter there were also significant charges for project managment. See pictures for examples of the excessive material purchases and poor quality of framing. 3. She will never verify the actual amount per hour she pays her labor. Our agreement was her cost plus 20%. She charged $50 an hour plus 20% ($60) for this labor without ever providing proof of what her cost was. High labor costs for very poor workmanship is not reasonable. See the pictures. Check any receipt from Cielo very carefully and also check prices with other retailers. The owner of Cielo has other disappointed customers that can be verified on build zoom. Would also recommend the better business bureau as a place to do research. Unfortunately, The owner has a habit of blaming customers for her mistakes. In the end, the pictures of her work speak for itself.

I initially tried to write a concise bullet point list of everything that went wrong on my quoted 1…read moremonth turned 4 month project but there's simply too much to list. The owner of River City Kitchen and Bath is deceitful and fails to take responsibility for the people he brings on to the job site. He has an excuse for everything but at some point he needs to stop pointing the finger at his subcontractors and take responsibility for the job he's supposed to be managing. He mentioned several times it was his policy to check in on jobs only after each stage of the project is completed. He stated several times the quality of work and service happening on this job were not typical for his business. I would have expected his presence more frequently as the project was constantly being delayed and mistakes were being made left and right due to his lack of project management. In the end I had to accept a lipstick on a pig job because I was exhausted and worn down living in a construction zone and babysitting the work myself. There were things like incorrect materials being used that stuck out to me, without me having any experience in the field. The brand new shower pan that was constructed didn't drain in 3 places. The solution was to install tile over tile to fix it. Cracked, chipped and unmatched tiles from different tile lots were installed throughout the shower. The wrong trim was installed and tiles had to be removed to fix this. Removing installed tile from the Schulter waterproofing system after it has been installed and dried makes the waterproofing more susceptible to failure. Tile cuts around fixtures are visible around almost every fixture. Plumbers were sloppy, improperly installing crooked (and leaky) fixtures and slathering silicone caulk over thousands of dollars of new hardware. In the last week of the project, I discovered they had installed a shower faucet with no hardware and simply caulked the entire thing in place. Zero house protection was used except a couple of his subs put paper down in traffic areas. We came home after Christmas to our entire living room, dining room, and kitchen covered in tile dust because they had been cutting tile on our balcony with the door open. There are times the owner tried to fix things/make things right but his actions were always reactionary, and the fixes often caused other problems. The overall layout for the shower is bad, I brought up several concerns during the design consultation but he told us my concerns were not issues, and I trusted his "expertise" at the time. Now that the shower has been installed, I can see the concerns we brought up were completely legitimate. At the "end" of the project there were still several things I was unhappy with but felt I had already given more than enough chances over the course of the last 4 months. I was not confident they could be remedied in any sort of timely fashion. Every time I had given them a chance to fix something, they messed something else up and I was done watching the subcontractors stumble over themselves. After a couple of days, I had to reach out to him to notify him his subcontractors "completed" the project. I was stunned when I was offered a less than 2% discount at the end of the job. When I said I disagreed with the discount, I was immediately threatened with a lien on my property. A week later I was offered an additional discount (still under 2%) which I declined as I'd prefer to warn others about the experience I had then accept an unacceptable discount. I would caution anyone considering River City Kitchen and Bath to note the reviews on his page are divisive, either 1 or 5 stars. If you do your research you will discover he is suing clients and see his bitter responses to negative reviews that I now share a similar experience with.

Title: Avoid Empire Flooring at All Costs - A Costly Nightmare from Start to Finish…read more Review: In December 2023, I paid over $22,000 to have my floors installed by Empire Flooring. Within months, I noticed the baseboards lifting from the walls throughout my entire home. A contractor later explained that Empire installed the quarter round too tight against the flooring, causing the lifting issue. When I called Empire in March 2025, they informed me that my installation warranty had expired just three months earlier. Even worse, I had purchased a $2,000 extended warranty, which I later learned only covers accidental damage--not installation errors. Absolutely unbelievable. That alone was bad enough--but the story gets worse. After a kitchen flood damaged about 200 square feet of flooring, I paid $3,600 for repairs. In the middle of the repair, the installation manager abruptly ordered the crew to leave, claiming that my original flooring was installed incorrectly and that my continuous flooring layout violated the manufacturer's warranty--even though Empire themselves installed it that way! He insisted that they would only proceed if I agreed to add five transitions in doorways and an 18-foot transition strip across the middle of my great room. When I refused to accept that ridiculous "solution," they walked off the job. After multiple complaints to corporate, Empire finally offered to replace all my flooring for $10,000 since they no longer carry my original material. I agreed, set an install date, and took off work... but no one showed up. The sales rep stopped responding, and now, as of October 2025, I've lost two days of work and still have no completed floor. I've given this company every opportunity to make things right, and they have failed miserably at every turn. If you value your home, your time, or your sanity--DO NOT hire Empire Flooring.
