This location is in Chino on Central and Philadelphia; next to the 76 gas station at the shopping center. The store was nicely organized and everything was placed nicely. I was looking for the Pro Club T-Shirts and I found them towards the front of the store and they were on Sale.. I asked the staff about the shirts. The staff member that assisted me that day was Carl. He took the time and we were talking about the shirts and the brand. Just really good conversation and made me feel that I was appreciated as a customer. I decided to get the 3 colors of Pro Club t-shirts his size. My overall experience was great and the customer service I received from Carl was outstanding. My in my personal opinion, I would recommend WSS if you are looking for athletic apparel and get great customer service from the staff. Thank You Carl for your assistance! And before those $3 turns into $200, I went to take care of it. I know that lady knows who I am, and honestly, I don't care. Prices are competitive, good value. I like that there's no high pressure sales person breathing down my neck, free to roam. There are free try-on (hosiery material) socks available, too, which I appreciate. At checkout, Wylie helped me out. She had a bit of problem accessing my very old gift card so a manager had to get involved--she was gracious & effective. I additionally used an American Express gift card I received for Christmas 2023-so I didn't pay a single cent for this transaction, 2 pairs of sandals for $103.29 (one pair was 30% off) All in all, it was a good experience even as I moaned & groaned about finding ones that fit well (wide width, a bit limited but better than most places) without causing pain, looked decent on my not-so-pretty feet & a good value. Nowadays streetwear trends have shifted, blurring the line between casual fashion and high fashion. It's made its way into high fashion, collaborating with major fashion heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Vetements, etc. to list a few. Kings to me is what pure streetwear is all about at its core. No bots, no asinine reseller mark-ups, no insane pricetags, no bullshit. Just tried and true streetwear styles from iconic streetwear brands that have withstood the test of time. I'm thankful Kings and others like it still exist (Proper, BAIT, Bowls LA and Union are both kind of). I say kind of because Bowls opens whenever they want and Union definitely has a certain audience in mind with the brands they carry. Anyway, maybe I'm looking back at the history of streetwear with rose-tinted glasses, but there's no denying that the fact that a place like Kings can still thrive despite the fact that a lot of boutiques I used to frequent have either shifted to online exclusively or just shuttered their doors permanently is respectable. The fact that you can still walk into a place like this and get some sick drip without playing bullshit games and waiting for drops or buying bots to cop shit is something I truly appreciate. The staff is cool as always and if anything, their selection has improved over the years and they've definitely stepped up (heh) their shoe game as well.
