I highly recommend Van's Landscaping. He is a rarity in the landscaping world--he is reliable and does great work. Van shows up when he says he will, and does what he says he's going to do and the results are great--all at a fair price. On top of all that, Van stands behind his work. Recently, we had forgotten how to work the irrigation system he installed in the Fall (we didn't use it over the winter), and he sent someone to our house to re-show us how to use it the next day--free of charge. That kind of service has earned our loyalty. read more

Van and his team did an awesome sprinkler install for us, on time on schedule, we are really happy and know who we will call next time we need help with the yard! read more

Looking to get your landscaping back into shape? Moss everywhere? Weeds making your yard look like an eyesore? Are you keeping friends away from your house because you are embarrassed by how your yard looks? Van and his crew will make sure your yard and landscaping look amazing! I contacted several businesses to get quotes on landscaping clean up. I had several projects in mind with my yard, and Van came out quickly to offer a quote. He had the best quote and scheduled me in. They started out in the morning and worked non-stop until the entire job was finished. They aerated, peat mossed, and reseeded all the grass areas; trimmed bushes and hedges; laid down fresh bark; readjusted a paver section and subsequently made a walkway; cleaned another portion of the yard that I failed to mention earlier; and gravelled a section of landscaping, which looks much nicer than ever before. Everything was hauled away, leaving a great peace of mind, and a really nice looking yard. I'll certainly have Van and his crew back out again in the fall for another sprucing up. Van is super responsive via phone and email. They are fantastic, and you won't be disappointed by the quality of their work. I'm not! read more

Great job all around - had the crew weed, remove a bunch of pesky vines, trim overgrown bushes, and lay down a weed barrier and mulch. I would highly recommend them. From quote to completing the project, they met and exceeded expectations. read more

Van's did a fantastic job with our annual lawn and landscaping cleanup. Really enjoyed dealing with Van, their prices are very affordable and the team is efficient and comprehensive with their work. Looking forward to having them back again soon. read more

Van was servicing the neighbor's lawn when I asked him for a card with the expectation it'd be a couple weeks before anything could happen. Instead he took the time to walk my property with me, gave me a quote that evening, and by the next day the work was done. Super quick and place looks great for spring. read more

Van's Landscape did an amazing job last spring transforming our city-size backyard from a random assortment of overgrown plants and weeds into a patio, raised bed, and paver tire tracks so we could tandem two cars -- all in a day's work! My neighbors were so impressed that we collectively hired Van's later in the summer to weed and re-do our common areas. This review is overdue, but about a year after the project, I'm happier than ever. The patio is put to good use, and I had a bumper crop of veggies and flowers in the raised bed last year. Excellent work, on time and on budget. read more

I hired Van's team based on Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. He responds quickly, has fair prices and his crew gives that extra attention to detail that you want when you pay for a job. My husband was part of golf course grounds crews in the past, so he is picky when it comes to good trim work. Mr. Van passed the test. I have regular lawn maintenance now and recently had him prune all the shrubs, a giant wall of laurel bushes and red tips and mulch and weed all the beds. The last person I had prune my laurels way back left giant holes, charged too much and didn't clean up well. Mr. Van took 8 ft off the top and a lot off the front while still leaving it pretty. And did I mention the fair prices, his great personality and how fast they work? You won't be disappointed. Don't put off your yard work. Let Mr. Van do it for you! read more

Van's Landscape - this looks 100x better than before! - Landscaping Near Me

I was getting my condo ready for sale and needed to spruce up my backyard with sod and garden beds before I got it on the market. Van was able to come out the day after I called him. He gave me a great quote and even fit the work into his schedule that week, knowing that I was trying to get it on the market. I was really looking forward to getting the work done, but unfortunately my HOA shot me down. Regardless of that I was really happy with Van's prompt and professional work. read more

I received a flyer in the mail from Van, and decided to give him a shot. Our house was in dire need of some spring cleaning. The lawn was full of moss, trees overgrown, leaves & weeds everywhere. I called Van and he came over the next day to give me an estimate. I agreed to the pricing, and he scheduled to come out in less than 2 weeks. I wasn't home when he came to do the work, but when I arrive home from work I was pleased to see he did everything I asked for. The place looks great! I'll definitely use Van again when I need a special landscaping project completed. read more

Very good communication and up front estimates. Work was done efficiently and on time.

Very happy with our service from Van's Landscape. Great communication, showed up when they said they would, did exactly what was in the quote, and the final price was exactly what was quoted. They also did great, fast work. Highly recommended and we would definitely hire again. read more

Bill and his crew did an incredible job with our front yard and patio installation! The quality of their work and attention to detail is impeccable. They were very reliable, prompt to respond to our inquiries, and completed the project so quickly. We absolutely love our new front yard! Fast, friendly and great work. I called Friday and he was here Sat and got everything done by 10:30am. Amazing!!

We've been hiring Van's for about 15 years to do our annual tree trimming, garden and lawn cleanup. He and his team always do a GREAT job! It's not a small job each year as our yard is ringed with Evergreens. Van brings his crew and they get it done in one day. When they leave there isn't a trace they were there - except for the fact the yard looks fantastic! Also great is that his price is always reasonable. Hire Van's and you will not be disappointed. read more

Van's crew did a fantastic job rebuilding part of our fence. It looks just like the prior fencing including the latticing. They were able to help us very quickly and at a reasonable rate. Our yard looks so much better now! read more

Van's Landscape did an incredible job with our backyard, our hedges, and hauling away. Bill was easy to contact and communicated with us throughout the process. While giving us an estimate for the work, he also gave us thoughtful suggestions and we truly could not have imagined how well it would all turn out. The whole team worked very efficiently and we are blown away by how wonderful everything looks. We will absolutely be repeat customers! read more

simply amazed with this talented, visionary & efficient crew. we've only just begun working with the van's landscaping team, but in the span of a single day, we now have two gates (to keep our dog in the backyard when she is outside), clean garden beds (that were very overgrown), & a freshly mowed lawn. we are continuing to work with this company for various other projects, as well (fire pit / patio, pathway pavement / design, new sod / turf & retaining walls). they've helped a ton in terms of landscaping recommendations; which was very needed & inspiring. looking forward to the continued partnership & much improved curb appeal !! already so impressed & would highly recommend. best residential landscaping co. in seattle, hands-down ( & it seems to be family owned & operated / small biz .. big perk) would encourage your support if you're searching .. you won't regret it !! read more

Van and his team are awesome!! He's fast, honest, and provides quality work. I've had Van tear out trees & hedges, build a fence, add a front gate to my house, build stairs for my deck, and install pavers in my backyard. It's all well done, quick, and affordable. read more

Very happy with the work from Van and his team! The team was punctual and professional. Van offered me a few choices and then helped me understand what would work best. The quality of work was stellar and I was very happy with my choice (after getting several bids). I'd use him again for any additional landscaping or yard needs. read more

We had Van's spruce up our garden and backyard before selling our house. They were great to work with, reasonably priced, and very responsive. We realized after they left that they had accidentally punctured a drip line while doing some plantings, and they came right back the next day to fix it. We were really impressed and would use them again. read more

Van's crew went above and beyond my expectations!! Our backyard was a ivy and debris wonderland before they got to it. Reasonable pricing too. I'd give 6 stars if I could :) read more

Bill and his team did a great job! They arrived on the scheduled day and worked hard and efficiently. It would have taken us weeks to do what they did in 3 days. They brought in yards of dirt and top soil, built a retaining wall, laid sod, moved heavy pavers, and added gravel so we could later put in a stone patio. Bill is great if you have questions and very friendly. read more

I have asked Van's for several projects. Backyard long time blackberry soil became glass yard with them, install 6 feet fence made our backyard very nice. I had 3 companies for asking and am happy to find Van's. Van's is very honest, quick and solid. If you see them you will understand why I decided to ask them my projects. They are nice people and you can trust them. During my project work, my neighbors asked Van's work for their yard and estimate for it, that tells how good Van's is. read more

Van's Landscape - Landscaping Near Me

Van was a godsend to my property - seriously my landscaping says a million thank you's! He was quick to respond to the quote request and communication was seamless throughout. His work matched his service level and I will definitely be using him again! read more

So, this company seems pretty responsive and did great scheduling. I'm just disappointed that they failed to review the scope of work we gave them prior to the meeting. So when they showed up, it was obvious they couldn't take the job. My husband had to schedule time off work to meet with them, so that was a bit disappointing. read more

They were ok, because if Covid I was not in attendance. They canceled once due to rain. Seattle weather?! I requested pictures when done, but they forgot. Job was done well as requested. Suggest better communication and follow through. read more

Wow- cannot be more pleased with Van and his team! Not only are his estimates and final pricing consistent, he and his team do excellent work all-around. No needless worry if a project will be completed on time, or of the quality of the work. Van transformed my ugly, dandelion filled front yard into a classic northwest space I can be proud of. read more

I emailed Van on a Sunday morning to get an estimate on adding topsoil and reseeding my yard (I had already removed the sod and tilled the dirt). Van replied within a couple of hours and came out to give me a quote the next day! Van was super friendly, clearly knowledgable, and quite honest about what needed to get done. His quote was more than reasonable and he was able to schedule the work for the following Wednesday. Wow! (And Van even offered to haul away the mountain of sod I had left on my driveway for a more than fair price.) Of course the amazing customer service only means something if the results match the effort. Wow Again! It has been 2 weeks now and the new grass is filling in beautifully. I couldn't be happier. If you want the work in your yard to have that professional look AND a personal touch then your first call to be to Van. Haha, just make sure you keep a day open for me next Spring! I want to redo my front-yard then and I am definitely having Van come back out to help again. read more

We hired Van's crew to dethatch and aerate our lawn. He offered a competitive price and was helpful answering my questions. They were quite efficient and the lawn is in good shape heading into the summer. Still have some bare spots despite their overseeding but that might be normal. Van also was helpful answering my questions via text about how much I should water and when I should mow. Would hire him again for landscaping services. read more

Van (himself) was very responsive and maintained contact (rare among contractors). Neighbour and I combined work into one visit for his crew, which worked out very well. I'll use his service again! read more

We hired Van and his team to rip out and replace our front yard grass after a car accident on our property. Van and his team did an excellent job. The yard looks great, they were thorough and very friendly. Van was also very reasonably priced. I recommend Van for all of your landscaping needs. read more

We have his crew mow and edge our lawn every two weeks and they do a great job at that. They've weeded once for us which took a long time to schedule but when they did the work it was well done too. They did a good job of sorting the weeds from the plants. The yard looked great afterwards. read more

Working with Van's Landscape was a very good experience. Bill (of Van's Landscape) arrived at my house on time for the requested estimate. Bill listened to the work that I needed to be done and made experienced suggestions. The price quoted was fair and on the agreed upon day, he and his crew arrived on time and ready to great to work. They cleaned out the mess of blackberries and overgrowth from both the back and front yard. The pathway in the back as well as the rockery in the front is now back to being exposed and beautiful to look at. Bill and his crew were prompt and efficient and left the area clean and tidy. Van's Landscape is an excellent and reliable company and I plan on using them again for future spring and fall clean ups. I would highly recommend them to friends and neighbors. read more

My yard had plenty of overgrown vegetation and was not maintained for years. Van trimmed shrubs and trees, fixed the drainage, and reseeded the lawn just to name a few of the many things they did on site. The property looks clean again. These guys are very prompt, helpful, and friendly. Definitely using their services again. read more

I decided to completely redo my front yard this summer, but needed help with removing the existing lawn and weedy planting strip between my driveway "ribbons." It was way too difficult to tackle myself. Van responded to my request almost immediately, came out for a quote within a couple days, and provided a very reasonable quote on the spot, enabling me to confirm a date for the work about 2 weeks out. In just 4 hours, Van and his crew gave me a perfect blank canvas for my new plants. They were really efficient and left the area very tidy. The new plants really like the compost/soil they used to backfill - all are healthy and growing. Note: I purposely waited a few months to write a review because I was concerned the grass could grow back. They rototilled the sod (vs. cutting strips below grade like a sod cutter) and raked out the roots. Van assured me this was an effective method, but I admit I was still a little worried this method would shake out seeds that would just grow back - up through all of my new plants. Well, I worried for nothing. Even with plenty of water (I installed irrigation), there's no sign of grass coming back. Van was right. The yard is done and I couldn't be happier. Van and his crew did a great job for a very fair price. Highly recommend! read more

I had been looking for someone like Bill (Van is his middle name) for over a year... I have a plan and a vision of a backyard. I did research myself and had even met with a few landscapers to see if my plans can become a reality. Some landscapers have their own ideas of how a yeard should look like and push their ideas on to me, some shows up to the appointment after a few beers, some even think I shouldn't do any reno because they think developers will come tear everything down in a few years... (WHAT?). But Van show up soon after I reached out to to him. And after finalizing the cost, they started to work. It took some time to finish since I have a large back yard. But the outcome was worth it, and I can't thank Van enough! This is going to be a great summer! read more
