Vanity Salon saved my wedding!! Finding Vanity Salon was an accident, but about as wonderful an accident as a bride could encounter. I had originally contracted the salon that my stylist works with for my wedding day hair and makeup, but my stylist had a family emergency a few weeks before my wedding date and she wouldn't be in town for my wedding. Noone else was available to do it at that salon so I had to find another one with only weeks away. My wedding planner recommended Vanity Salon (she said she always sends her brides there) and let me just say that I am so thankful she did!! I called and spoke to Kim Coleman (the owner) and told her my dilemma. She was so polite and accommodating right from the start. I thought it would be impossible to find a stylist available on such short notice to do my wedding. She not only assured me that they could do my hair and makeup, but that they could do my whole wedding party! She said that their entire staff is a wedding team. Originally my bridal party was going to be on their own to get their hair and makeup done because the other salon didn't do big wedding parties. I decided to do a trial run just to be sure that they could do what I wanted. Korissa Tyson was my stylist and she was AMAZING! She completely exceeded my expectations! I showed her a picture of my last trial run (from the other salon) and she not only recreated it...but she made a few suggestions to change it a little and I ended up loving it even more! I couldn't stop staring at myself! I felt like a Bride! Sure enough on my wedding day, Korissa made my hair and skin look radiant and flawless. I have never felt more beautiful. While Korissa only made up my exterior, her work gave me the confidence to stand in front of all my family and friends without worry or self-consciousness. Most importantly, my husband truly loved my look as well. The Vanity team was incredible! What started off as a nightmare ended up being everything I imagined for the day of my wedding. All brides should feel exactly this way on their wedding day. I cannot recommend Korissa Tyson and all of the Vanity girls work highly enough. read more

If I could have chosen no stars I would have .... this salon is very unprofessional and very rude, I've been waiting to get my hair put in for 3 months and understanding the circumstances of the virus I was totally and completely understanding and patient with them, my hair has been in since March but was not able to be installed. When the salon opened back up Britney contacted me which was my hairstylist and told me they could get me in this week on Thursday they called me the day of and told me there was an error and that I could either get a refund or have to reorder my hair I politely ask why and if I could have the reason to why there was an error and the lady on the phone rudely kept repeating herself and telling me she didn't know so I asked to speak to someone who did and she said everyone was busy so I just decided to drive up there and find out myself . Upon arrival I politely ask what was going on the girl who answered the phone played dumb and acted like she was not the one who talked to me then I just had enough and asked for a refund then the owner not sure her name came over starting screaming at me and my friend and we weren't even doing anything, we were just trying to figure out what was going on I just paid almost $500 for hair "they lost "..... or that they used for someone else's head she said, so she continued to yell telling us to leave or she was gonna call the cops I asked for my refund and she wrote me a check for the wrong amount I asked her about it stating I payed more and she said that they never charged me tax so it was the exact amount of the bundles of hair with no tax. I was still confused so I called Britney and asked her she said no you were definitely charge way more so I went back in and told them I wasn't leaving until they refunded me the right amount turns out they were tryna pull a fast one on me being young and not ever getting extensions the tax rate is 9% and they charged me 20% then tried to only give me half back I'm just very disgusted I would not recommend, you might get ripped off !!!!! read more

I always dread finding a new stylist when we move, which we recently did. However, imagine my delight when I found the perfect salon and stylist on my first try! Gina at Vanity Salon is fantastic! She was attentive, even though I am quite particular and detailed, and she understood perfectly the issues of fine hair in a humid and salt air climate. She asked questions along the way to clarify what I would like and the result was fantastic! Vanity Salon is immaculate and comfortable, and I believe attentiveness to the client is a common thread throughout, as I overheard other stylists paying close attention to their clients wishes as well. Can't say enough great things about this salon! My first experience with Benny was stellar! He is so professional, and intelligent when it comes to his line of work! He took his own time to find the two perfect shades to mix on my hair, and I would say it turned out to be the perfect blonde! I have been to multMille people trying to get what I wanted, and Benny did it on his first appointment with me! Safe to say, Benny will be the only one doing my hair from this point forward! The atmosphere in the salon was also so welcoming and professional, everyone was offering drinks, and from what I noticed the staff worked as a team; which is always a good sign when coming into a business! My husband has been getting his hair cut by Korissa for about four years. After we got married a little over a year ago and I moved to the area, I decided to try Korissa myself, since my husband and I had always been so pleased with his cuts. I sure am glad I did! I l loved my cut right away. She listens carefully and does just what I ask. She has excellent skill and knows current styles well. I tried her for my highlights too and they were perfect. Could not be more thankful for Kim and her team! My trial run was excellent. Exactly what I was looking for in regards to my wedding look. On the day of my wedding, it was a torrential downpour! I was a mess! So worried that my makeup was going to run and my hair a nest! Kim and her team saved the day! My First visit at a salon down here in Mount Pleasant was with Vanity Salon to get my brown hair highlighted with just a half-head done of blonde lights. Elizabeth did my highlights and she did the perfect job. The highlights lasted me over 6 months and they looked natural and perfect with my dark natural hair color. The price range was extremely reasonable and I've been going back ever since. My mom and sister go there as well for there hair and nowhere else. I recently moved to the Mount Pleasant, SC area and need a stylist in the area. I booked an appointment at Vanity Salon and had Misty as my stylist. She listened very carefully when I explained to her the color, cut and style that I wanted for my hair. The Full Package! Booking Vanity Salon and working with Kim, Holly, and Kristen was the easiest part of the wedding process. Not only was I able to get a soft glow tan but my makeup was flawless along with my hair. I was able to arrange for my mother and mother-in-law to also have their hair and makeup done. Shawna helps me with my "camouflage" - I tell everyone she is a color genius. . . and Danielle does awesome eyelash extensions.
